Awesome knowledge boss. Since I have started following you since the Jawa video you have always been my inspiration to maintain my motorcycle with a lot of passion. Hatts of your knowledge sir. Very good analysis, I will add two bits of mine too...HD as you said is an rebatched version of Hero bikes planning on selling only on the brand name, T is actually in a similar position... that it's a Domino engine retouched with T accessories and quality control...Whereas CB was designed to take on a market leader which is always the most difficult thing to do, so Honda took their time in designing a vehicle which would be absolutely maintenence friendly and long lasting.. the way Hero Honda Splendor was...CB is a bike which will last for years , which is not going to be the case of these two newly launched bikes, plus no one talks about the refinement of the engine with zero vibration which is class apart.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад

      Yeah like i mentioned the inner engine platform assumingly is the same KTM with T spending most of their development time on how designing the external cases to match the crankcase.
      Yes, regarding the CB it's a difficult decision to let it go..

    Hello sir! I am planning to buy cb350 highness but the nearest bigwing showroom is 250km away from my house and i am okay to take delivery from that city but i cant take my bike everytime for service and i also Heard that the service cost is very high for bigwing bikes. So my question was that can i service that bike in normal honda workshops for first 3 free services because anyways i am going to service it in home or any good garages near my house after the free services

    What are the direct fit options for sprockets pls throw some light on the subject matter.

    One question for this, do wheelbase cause any lag/affect in the machine's speed or power delivery? In no, then can we change the size of the tyres or type of tyre to increae the height of T400? How else can we increase that heing by let's say 1-2cm?

    Thanks for this indepth comparison which should be known by a prospective buyer. As rightly said Triumphs attributes are better than CB on all aspects. The gearing of the CB disappoints me most which probably may not be a handicap for Triumph wherein one can ride at higher gears at lower speeds without engine knocking. Triumph ground clearance at 155 mm is probably the only con. Triumph will be the major player in this segment if it keeps the service/ spares cost at reasonable levels unlike BMW 310 cc ( TVS ) where the headlight console costs over 52 K & chain costs 28 k & normal service costs around 8 k .
    Looking forward for future contents .

    Rajbhai...Thanks for Sharing Specs and Explaining each and every points in minute Details.
    I would like to share my views:-
    1. Gr clearance is big let down by Triumph.
    2. As compared to Mech Cable wire cables wil be prone for Rodent attacks. Not sure though.
    3. Steel vs Al frame. Steel is stronger and Al may crack. Wrt Purpose Steel is i feel always better and stronger also considering Maintenance Steel is always beter then Al.
    4. Upside down forks has drawback when their is a oil leak, it will always be dangerous. Its better in such conditions to have conventional forks.
    5. Maintenance cycle log royenge when they will go for yheir6 scheduled maintenance at 16k or 1yr whichever is lesser. Also Oil change at huge interval as you said will be a major burning issue. Thats wait and watch for a periodic review
    6. Bhai agar KTM yaa Dominor kaa engine hai to phir KTM yaa Dominor kyuun naa le...ek review ispar banta hai..
    I maybe incorrect at many places above.
    Will share your video at maximum as I can..

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад

      Thanks buddy 😊.. looking at your current specs itself I feel your CB is already a loaded bike. I wouldn't recommend exhaust change as you are already running lean(equals to more heat) with the BMC filter and a red rooster will further add heat to the exhaust side aswell.
      Powertronics ECU will help you with more top end but costs around 19k if am not wrong..

I am happy with my decision as i am getting all i want just that sprocket issue is real which i hate. Raj bhai what are you comparing Sir? CB is a different segment all together hence the spec sheet, whereas the new triumph 400 is a naked sports tourer segment bike. We can never compare the power and torque figure of a cruiser to a naked sports bike. Both of them are equally good at their segments. The way you have demonstrated is quite impressive but I don't agree of the comparison of two bikes from different segments.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад +1

      Hey Partha, completely agree with your thoughts if we have to look at both bikes from a segment perspective.
      The intent here was to call out how Honda had the opportunity to eat into the pie of the RE and become a proven substitute for the RE. They worked all the way from scratch to enter a segment where someone else was and is still assumed as the undisputed leader but still only gave a product which is at par in terms of specs. Infact went to an extent to naming thier baby identical to the segment leader (Royal = Highness).
      For a Honda, it was not too difficult to provide a 4V DOCH 400cc engine. Why replicate that is already available, why not go atleast one step above.
      Btw.. my close friends in Honda dealerships are already feeling the heat with bookings getting cancelled and customers posting advt in CB groups with CB for sale saying planning to buy the T 400.
      Though specs wise they are different, the share in the pie is from the same segment for them..

    1. It produce 21 ps power.
    2. 37+ mileage in highway is not kind of possible (in my opinion) as it is a high raving 400 cc engine. but as you r saying and I respect your statement so have to wait for that.

    I disagree with Raj on the Triumphs mileage. Its going to be around 27 for the speed in the city and around 32 on highway.. my other 2 cents, its going to more uncomfortable for pillion, and more top heavy.. compared to the CB. Dont get me wrong i think its a terrific bike and i too booked it as soon as the price was announced.. 😂

    According to my opinion the triumph speed 400 is not worth it , because the chain drive come to the right side which take very efforts to lube the chain because of the exhaust pipe , And to change the brake pads their is saree guard again one more trouble and their is very minimum space between the saree guard and disc brake , another issue is the alloys of the triumph speed 400 don't think they are made for indian roads . And the triumph has give ride by wire setup which has some amount of lag in accleraction and if some how , something happen to the sensor of ride by wire it will be expensive to change , this bike come with short stroke engine so the ktm 390 any day better than this bike according to the acceleraction, handling , one more issue is service network . Dont know who will handle the service network either it is bajaj or triump , if the bajaj takes care of the service of this bike then great then it is very risky ,Thinking about this bike it provides you good quility and triumph logo on tank decent power and nothing else , The price of the triumph speed 400 is marketing strategy afer the 2 or 3 month it will going to increase . no hate for triump it is just my opinion .

      @RajkaGarage  Год назад +1

      Absolutely. Food for thought..
      In real terms, if one has to use this bike for touring purposes aswell, I do some apprehension as the silencer has a steep upswept angle which may make it difficult to load it with touring saddle bags etc..

    My thoughts exactly on the Honda CB 350. I had this bike briefly for 8-9 months, drove 9700kms. It is not a Honda, it is a Bullet made by Honda. They should have given twin cylinders like the original CB350 of 70s, or increased the capacity to 400cc or 450. Otherwise it is reliable, but it has this image problem of a wannabe Bullet. I now ride a meteor 350 for the last 18000kms!😊

    • @chnacr2
      @chnacr2 Год назад +5

      The only mistake Honda made was to just create something that beat the Bullet 350 in every aspect. They did succeed in doing that, but they should have aimed much higher.
      If these new Triumphs turn out to be successful then it's high time other manufacturers realize that they shouldn't just make bare minimum motorcycles at inflated prices for Indian customers

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад +1

      Twins would have taken the price to 5+ which is typically Honda strategy on pricing. Like they Fkd up with the 300F pricing for a 300cc Hornet..
      A 400 or 450 was the way to go.. something that would be little caution to ride...not a toy .😁

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад +3

      They are already selling less than 30-40 units per month in metro showrooms.. god save them if T picks up... A price they will have to pay for being conservative and taking the Indian market which is one of the largest..for granted..

      @@RajkaGarage It's a classic Japanese blunder. They always create something incredibly amazing whilst completey ignoring some glaring issues, and product becomes outdated very quickly.
      I absolutely love my CB350, it's perfect at what it does. But could've been easily much better at the price point.
      Let's see if the Triumphs are not just good on paper, and if Honda trumps them in terms of reliability, cheap spare parts, service experience, etc.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Год назад +3

      Very well said.. can't agree more on this.. Somehow the current Japanese management is just a rubber stamp. I have worked in Kinetic Honda and later with Escorts Yamaha in my past and have seen how the Japs would think out every detail thing regardless of the competition which was very less in those days, the product was not only developed from a customer perspective, but even from a service perspective. The KiHo was a way ahead of its times in 1986..
