Bought an Xbox One X today after having my Ps4 Pro since 2017 and I have to say I LOVE my Xb1X, I see the difference. Thank you Sony for exclusives and thank you Microsoft for Power and Backwards Compatibility. I’m a fan of both systems.

I'm a PC-gamer, and I agree it looks better on the Xbox One X. The thing is, I've never been in a situation where I was like "Damn, I wish I had an Xbox" because the exclusives for it just isn't all that great. Now, I can't count how many times I've thought "Damn, I really want a PS4 to play..." to name a few: Uncharted, God of War, Spider-Man and the list goes on. As I stated, I don't own neither console, but I wish I did own a PS4. To me, graphics aren't everything, and with the minor differences between the XB1 X and the PS4 Pro in this scenario, I can't really see a reason not to buy a PS4 Pro over the Xbox One X if you don't own a console. Just my humble opinion of course, no bad blood.

Bryce Czirr that's the only thing people defend playstation with is exclusive games. You realise you can own both consoles right? So far the only PS exclusive that interests me this Gen is Death Stranding, which isn't released yet. When that comes out I'll get a Ps4.

Other than that, that game still stands as close to as what optimisation mastery can possibly be. When I see the visuals Rockstar have been able to pull out on the technically prehistorical PS4 fat/slim and One Fat/S, I call this result albeit not perfect, almost perfect. If you expected this aging hardware to handle such a massive OW flooded with an insane amount of details without even a single drop of FPS here and there then I think you don't get what type of game RDR2 means in terms of resources. And 4k proves incredibly demanding so it's logical that the more powerful platform gets the better results.
That's on you. I have a Samsung 4K TV from last year and it's razor sharp. I don't know anyone where it looks horrible. You're out of your mind, son. "Blurry" lol! Learn how to calibrate your TV or get a new one.
I don’t know about everyone else but playing it on a 1080p tv with the pro on boost mode is amazing I never had any frame drops so far and I’m on chapter 3.

Purchased the PS4 pro version launch night , next morning I bought an Xbox 1 x and downloaded the game. The difference in the native 4K rendering and the FPS performance is astonishing (not to mention the x is silent while the pro is a constant hair dryer) These videos do a good job at showing the technical difference but the game plays so much better on the X
But XB1X and Pro run at the same FPS?

Yeah the only thing PS4 is good for is it's exclusives. And i've played every single one, some more than one time through. I use my PS4 and even play the originals which are now Remasters, God Of War 3, Uncharted Collection, The Last Of us etc. So I sold mine a while back. The X is great, I love AC Origins/Odyssey, the Tomb Raider games, Metro Exodus, my old 360 games. All benefit from the built in 16x Antiostropic filtering for non enhanced games. Which all look great. The Pro, not so much, Boost Mode doesn't do much of anything, some frame rates are steadier, that's about it. And some games look and play worse. Oh well to each their own.
Difference in graphics between consoles isn't even that big. It's slight at best. When you go to PC you'll see real difference. Games on consoles are running on low/medium specs with effects turned off at best.

@@kylekondit9709 I'm playing on PS4 mostly but not a lot. I love PC though because you can even emulate games which were never released in western countries. Lately I've played Berserk and it was great to experience such game, I've played it with PS4 dualshock connected to my laptop.

i own a ps4, ps4 pro , an xbox one, xbox one x , and honestly I tell you that you can't feel any significant difference at all while playing the games on ps4 pro and xbox one x , unless you move up your ass in front off the screen to see the details, then you'll find that one x has slightly more detail. Well as for ps4 , xbox one vs ps4 pro and xbox one x, you can clearly tell there's an increase in performance,(fps, sharpness). So my pov is that if you're deciding whether to buy a ps4 pro or an xbox one x, i'll advice you to go on with the console that have the most exclusive games that suit your genre..

I own a PS4, but I agree that Xb1 x is better, but you won’t notice those small upgraded details while immersed in the gameplay. So you are taking small graphic improvements over incredible exclusive games like Detroit: Become Human, Spider-Man, God of War and Uncharted. I am happy with the console I have.
My one X is currently being sent for repair/replacement, so jumping back onto the Pro and playing RDR2 on both, it’s day and night, i had to sit further away from the TV than I would with the One X (this is normal as Pro is only 1080p most of the time) but visually the One X seems flawless in comparison. I’ve noticed on a few games how incredible the graphics and image quality stack on One X, and the jump is pretty big. Just don’t think there is enough people shouting including media as to how big a difference it is. I’m a graphics whore and will notice the slightest artefact where others maybe won’t.
If you have the choice, and you only really play multi platform games (although Xbox still has great Exclusives) grab a One X, I still think it’s worth the upgrade with a 4K TV. It also seconds as a UHD player for that price

I recently upgraded my original Xbox one to the X and this game is absolutely phenomenal on the X! Graphics are insane with that native 4K out of the box! Looks beautiful.

It is in fact double the resolution compared to the pro. Its exactly 2 x the pixels. Xbox One X = native 4k = 3840 x 2160. PS4 pro runs on 1920 x 2160 pixels.

@@IKacey I don't know bruh all the leaks of PS5's specs are pretty promising, since it will support real Ray tracing. People did a test with the specs that PS5 would have on the Spiderman game, fast traveling on PS4 took 15 seconds. Fast traveling on PS5 would take 0.8 seconds.

Same, RDR 2 has now proved that the console is able to handle native 4K resolution and in a freaking beautiful, vast open world game no less......so no longer can PS fanboys say that Xbox One X can only run old 360 games, indie games or racing games in 4K......any game that from now on cant run at 4K on Xbox One X just shows poor optimization, since RDR 2 is huge triple A open-world action-adventure game....there is simply no exuses for other developers to not get their games work at native 4K on Xbox One X.

Im appreciative that i have both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X so when major games come out like this i can thankfully decide which version to buy, i did opt for the Xbox one X version as i read it was native 4K and been playing this since launch and the HDR/Graphics are truly outstanding, it does have the soft look which i think was intended by Rockstar but for anyone make sure you set your HDR setting in game at 200 for LED/LCD as that is the perfect balance, hats off to Rockstar so far this game is worth every Penny!!
I don't know why but with all the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro comparisons for various games, the Xbox One X always has better graphics, details, and textures compared to the PS4 Pro, but worse lighting 🤔
Xbox One X looks much more detailed and has much better textures. Either way the game looks beautiful on both consoles.
I7 + 1080TI and PS4 PRO owner here. The graphics on X is better, no discussion, but noticeable only side by side. In the end, both players have same experience.

Elliott Blair Actually the lighting is not changed at all by the consoles, in fact the ps4 might have the edge since the Xbox has to use more power for Native 4K which also creates processing lag on the tv. The only reason XboxOneX looks better is the resolution, you can see this by watching ps4vsxboxone comparisons, the ps4 is much sharper as it is runs in 1080p and not 900p.

I have not experienced any Burn In issues with my OLED. I have played many hours straight with no issues. I have an LG OLDE 65 inch. Now I have experienced Image Retention. That is when you see a ghosting of the images from previous screens. Usually happens using Netflix or Amazon Fire Stick. This is not permanent though. Goes away pretty fast and can only be seen if you go to a black screen or something. But again I have not ran into a Burn In issue and have played Mario Kart, God of War, and other games for long periods with not issues. Picture wise it is amazing, the colors, clarity, deep blacks really are nice. Hope this helps.
Play at night with all the lights off on a Oled-E8 with the 4k Hdr 10 setting on and watch those horse nuts SHINNNNNNNEEEEEE
SummaTymeWayne been thinking about the E8, I have a PS4Pro and XB1X and I’ve been using my 3 year old 4K tv but the black levels have been killing me and having some screen issues. I don’t want to spend $3500 on the E8 though because i don’t feel it’s worth that price, I think I’m gonna wait for Black Friday sales.

Although the Xbox One X may look better than the PS4 Pro. Because it's still not going to affect how the game actually plays between the two systems. Because when you're actually into the game and you're actually playing the game you're not going to notice that's small graphic change between the 2 systems. I own a Xbox One X and PS4 Pro yes I can say the Xbox One X and definitely looks better but when you're actually into the game and you're actually playing I don't really pay attention to how they Graphics look.

Evanswachtz the rendering distance, better textures, the detail especially on their faces and the glossiness in their eyes and shadows/lighting effects are Really! Noticeably better on the X man, even my brother who’s a die hard Sony fan with his ps4 pro noticed it hell even the environments have more smaller attention to details, especially the sheer number of moving tree branches and grass or other background objects at further distances it’s a pretty dramatic difference man.

Having played RDR2 on both the consoles, the difference in visuals in not really so noticeable. However, entering St. Denis drops the fps to about 20 to 25 on Pro, which is not a problem on the X.

Watching your video made me realize that I think digital foundry got this one wrong. Why I say that, Is that they had mentioned that they didn’t think that the texture upgrade was that significant from the PS4 Pro to the Xbox one X and I highly disagree with that. It looks like a pretty significant upgrade. As seen by looking at the close-up of the main character and the textures on the hat which are razor sharp on the Xbox one X and blurry on the PS4 Pro. Which has nothing to do with resolution of the screen and everything to do with high-resolution textures. You are seeing details that you don’t see on the PS4 Pro version. I think this bears mentioning, because there arent a whole lot of games out there that actually use upgraded textures for the Xbox one X. I think they do it as a parity thing, to make both versions look the same outside of resolution. But I always applaud any developer who will go the extra mile to include some of the high-resolution PC textures, that make the game look that much better.
I’m also seeing better lighting and shadows. If you look at the close-up of the Whitehorse, you can see that the lighting is more pronounced and the shadows are of a higher resolution. Making the hyde of the horse stand out more.
The game is a great looking game or no matter what system you played on. But I do applaud the developers for adding extra features into the X version. Something that not many developers take the time to do. The last game I can think of was Ghost Recon Wildlands, which included high-resolution textures, tessellation, shadows, reflections and lighting. Whereas most games get a resolution boost and very little else across platforms. So another thank you goes out to these developers Who go that extra mile to take advantage of a systems extra power, when available.
When playstation come out with the "pro" always showing off about "the most powerful console" and how important 4k was on gaming adding potential to graphics...now that xbox one X is CLEARLY the MOST POWERFUL console of this generation... now sonyers said... GRAPHICS arent Important! It amaze me... the level of SORE !! at the time to admit !! That xbox is a better machine! Even tho the MEDIA try to hide it... by promoting SONY even on third party games. Its crazy how this people LIE into the blind consumers.

The 4K picture clarity is so crisp on the Xbox One X. PS4 Pro still has a little bit of noticable fuzziness on details in the distance, but the One X gives the best and clearest view of the open world vistas and objects in the distance.
I am a sony fanboy and yes the xbox x obviously looks better at natve 4k either way the game looks great on both consoles so just enjoy the game. I play all my games and red dead on my ps4 pro in 1080p and they still look great as I hate checkerboard and upscaled resolutions so hats off to the native 4k on the xbox x, still I'll never buy a Xbox as I prefer sony but xbox is the clear winner in this gsme as you can't beat native 4k it's as simple as that.

Graphics do matter with finer details of the xbox x when u have a 75 inch t.v that costs 6k and up you need detail on such a large screen and it can onky look this good on my giant t.v with the detail xbox one X puts into its smooth frame rate and textures
