Thanks Rob, in fact Tom and Tim had been making plans and collaborating informally since 2014. There have been lots of developments since this documentary was made so perhaps he should bring all of that up to date in a future video. Btw and FYI did you get our email today? thanks for all your support. Georgie
The youngsters were completely absorbed in this process. The positive vibes and immediate feedback of their efforts were very uplifting. It would be interesting, after a few hours of this training, that they each bring in their very own favourite photo to try and paint it. A world with more artists will be a better place.
Beautifully produced and hopefully you will get a lot more views, and thank you for your multi year efforts to take Tim’s idea and use it to connect students to their artists within. I am very much looking forward to your commercial program. My many decades ago college drawing class was a dead-end and I have drawing books but seeing what’s on the page and representing that with pencil without skilled guidance is not that easy. I know I could make greater efforts to improve but the feedback/reward loop has been too long for me to maintain motivation. I hope and expect the comparitor mirror based program will give me the immediate feedback of creating a realistic drawing and enable me to maintain motivation to create and improve.
Many thanks for your question, If you drop me an email think I can help you there. stay tuned for an update on the comparator kit. As things stand it looks as if we might be able to get these out by Christmas 2020. contact@paintinglab.com
Good to hear about you and Tim joining forces

Great work. I built my own set up with some 3D printed bits and have been enjoying it.
Many thanks Carl, I'd love to see your results... send me an email if you like.

Please let me know how to construct a comparator mirror or where to buy one. Very interested in using this for painting! Thanks!
Very interesting. Great tool to get folks into art. I need to build me one of these tools.
Hello Wingman, as we are still a few months off our launch please get in touch, I may be able to help you.
