You have to give cadillac credit here. They'v come a long way. I'm excited to see their brand excel in 5 years. I see this as just the beginning for them.
FINALLY! Cadillac is back, & looking great. The name is however a bit uninspired... sedan Deville is an epic moniker. Thank you for letting the past stay where it is though caddy
Robert Alford Green I think they ruined some of those old names through years of cars exclusively marketed towards old people who never drove them above 65 mph. To me, Sedan Deville means "smooth and slow because I'm retired"
sharkheadism Cadillac could still lose new customers if the entire fleet becomes up-charged by $15k to $20k like the new escalade is. The 09 cts v was 56k base (65k loaded). Now the 16 ats v is 62k base (70k loaded). Getting a little steep, but hey its luxury right...its way more car for way more money.
+Robert Alford Green I have an Audi S8 with 525hpTT. I will give the Caddy a serious look. this is a beautifully designed car. And yes, as a former 7 series BMW owner, I'm not even interested in going that route.
This is incredible! An all-exclusive V-6 in a GM car!!! This hasn't happened in decades!!! Hopefully, GM and other manufactures see the error of their ways and realize an informed consumer isn't interested in brand engineering.
No mention of the plugin hybrid version of this car, which has a drivetrain similar to the Volt but more horsepower? Shame. That is the one that will sell hopefully. 1:56, a camera in the front and in the back that can record? Awesome! Hopefully to a big hard drive or an SD card so you can offload the video to your computer. This is great for evidence in court so you don't need though dash mounted cameras! Subaru should do this with their Eyesight technology too and other car companies with active collision avoidance with cameras; Having the ability to record the video to a storage device.
For me, I think they have at last with this CT6 done something right. This car will sell very well providing GM/Cadillac doesn't cut any corners between now and production and give stupid pricing like they did with the ELR, what a flop that was. This is a new clean design and not a rebadge so this will help, quality control needs to be all over this vehicle for it to begin to bring buyers from other higher market car brands, no errors out of the gate.
Call it what you will, this car is saying nothing in terms of looks. I understand Caddy loyalist and I've owned a few of them in both brands. 1977 Sedan Deville, 1984 Seville, 1990 Coupe Deville & 2000 Deville. 1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI & 1983 Lincoln Contintal Sedan. Funny you say people don't want a FWD luxury sedan yet you bought a 00-05 generation Deville, that's laughable. Most of their cars have been FWD for years. Cadillac just stepped their game up in terms a quality and materials, I'll give them that. I'm no Caddy hater but I've owned better & more luxurious cars from Caddies, Lincolns, Lexus, Infiniti, Jaguar & Mercedes. Caddies historically offer cheap plastic, simulated wood & half leather & vinyl seats w/ bs AC Delco radios like in that Deville you're so proud of. How many window regulators have you had to replace on your Deville yet? Wait til the heads blow on that northstar. GM isn't on any pedestal in relation to Ford, their both USA brands that have been around competing and compared to each other for decades.
You act like its a bad thing that the ct6 looks like the ATS and cts. The new design cadillac is doing is very nice and uniqe. Honestly doesn't bmw Audi and Mercedes follow same design language with all their models?
James McCathorine I actually think the CTS is a better looking car in dimensions. Since they mentioned they were creating a flagship sedan, I guess I was expecting something ground breaking an more awesome looking like the El Miraj coupe, but that's just me.
I think 2016 lincoln continental will be the best seller in luxury class! When are you guys going to do review on cadillic ct6, and 2016 lincoln continental?
Certainly a nice looking car, however I hate how the whole auto segment is moving in the direction of all cars within the same brand looking like smaller and larger versions of one another. I don't mind the corporate grill theme, but do all the cars have to look exactly the same.
Only Lincoln can come close. Acura and Volvo don't even have rwd platforms, and infinitis are just not there in terms if luxury. Other than the German three, Cadillac, jaguar and Lexus, there aren't too many choices when it comes to big full size rwd limos
I think their is still a stigma on American cars including Cadillac, imports have built a reputation on high standards however even though automakers like Tesla are changing this stigma the damage is done. It just seems more special though to buy a foreign car things just seem more well rounded and thought out.
osamaFXX kirbyswarp The renderings of the interior look great, but in real life, or in actual person, the interior is nothing compared to the quality and precision of the German interiors. This interior looks so cheesy and cheap, plastic or fake like almost. Great design but poor materials. Just look at that leather on the dashboard, even fake bmw leather thats snythetic in a 1 series looks better than that
Jay Arriola DeftonesFan867 It looks fake first of all but I know its real, probably not the best quality grade materials though LOL. And in computer renderings and images and on camera yes the interior looks good, but in real life as I have seen, not so much.
Dear Cadillac, Your nomenclature needs work. If you're going to have a three-letter alphabetical designation for your other cars, why does this one suddenly have an alphanumeric combo?? Confusing and just plain wrong. Maybe someday you will want to put a V8 in this car (which you should BTW), so will it still be a CT6? Maybe moving your corporate HQ to New York will sharpen your soft thinking. Meanwhile, I love the design of the car!
Most OF YOU WILL NEVER ....and i mean NEVER OWN A Big Mercedes S Class, Bentley, Rolls Royce etc etc etc...or any other $90k+ CAR ... THESE LINCOLNS AND CADILLAC;S ARE PERFECT for YOU. Thats why YOU should stop putting down cars that are going to be the cars that YOU WILL ACTUALLY OWN. The snobbery kills me.You are snobbing for no reason. The Cadillacs and Lincolns are MADE FOR REGULAR NON-RICH AMERICANS LIKE YOU. They are great CARS. Jeezus!!!
branot89 They're more of a nod to Cadillac's older vehicles to me. Especially since they're mounted right at the edge (like on a Fleetwood for example), and not swooping inwards like on the XJ.
branot89 those taillights are a classic feature to the cadillac history. It never crossed your mind that jaguar headlights were inspired by cadillac headlights.
+Mike Man elmiraj, xt5, and, New xlr and, Seville and New deville possibly a v12 option but the other one is a mystery to me but maybe a eldarodo or, ciel
Caddy really needs to undercut the Germans if they plan for the CT6 to be successful. They jacked the price way up on the ELR and look how that turned out.
For the Americans wanting this to be V8 or bigger... I hate to pop your ego but you are not the target audience for this car, the Chinese are. The same with the Lincoln Continental concept.. Again, this is for people that want luxury and efficiency in one vehicle. The Chinese want to go from point a to point b in style. They don't base their manhood on how loud the car sounds.
You don't see rolls Royce or Bentley downsizing their engines for massive sales in China. I'm not saying I don't understand why they did it, I'm saying I don't believe it's because if China
Underwhelming design. I agree with everyone who feels that the new CTS looks better than this. I don't care what Cadillac thinks but this is no flagship, at least not in terms of design. All I see is a watered down, more conservative version of a CTS. This is not going to attract anyone looking to make a statement or drive a car that can turn a few heads. Cadillac got it right when they built the CTS Coupe; bold and not afraid to scream - "Hey, look at me!"
***** It's for the fuckin' CAFE regulations. The average fuel economy for each car company must reach 50 mpg or something like that. It should be decently quick considering this is a lightweight car. Probably will get to 60 in less than 7 seconds.
what is up with the plain ass interior...this is a flagship car for Caddy, and Audi, Porsche, BMW, and LExus makes better interiors and instrument clusers...
i love cadillac but they need to go back to the drawing board with this one plus the interior is awful and it looks old and outdated. for that matter whats up with all these damn 4cyl?????? that car is too damn big to have a 4cyl...........stop being cheap cadillac and spend some damn money!!! while the V is hands down one of the best it like you really don't give any thought to any other model in your line up. the ats interior is god awful to even in the ATS V its terrible. again stop being cheap cadillac and maybe your euro rivals will take you more seriously

This car is really growing on me and the innovations.....wow.
Silly naming scheme aside. This looks pretty good. Not bad Caddy!
Anderson Yup, this name is at least weird....
that's actually not bad, hope it drives very well too!
FINALLY! Cadillac is back, & looking great. The name is however a bit uninspired... sedan Deville is an epic moniker. Thank you for letting the past stay where it is though caddy

A ast v is very good value for money considering its performance.

Mark Edwards that's awesome, I hope this is the car to beat.
About time GM! Damn
This is incredible! An all-exclusive V-6 in a GM car!!! This hasn't happened in decades!!! Hopefully, GM and other manufactures see the error of their ways and realize an informed consumer isn't interested in brand engineering.
Looks fantastic
I'd have to see it in person
Beautiful
Great Video Auto Guide and Great car for Cadillac.

very beautiful car nice luxury sedan in the secment
The new Lincoln Continental concept just murdered this car. This cars says nothing different in terms of design, just a larger ATS & CTS.
***** Exactly!
Call it what you will, this car is saying nothing in terms of looks. But your okay with the 3,5,7 looking the same and also the c, new e and current s class looking the same then? Also don't forget about audi.

The #cadillac nameplate says #luxury in every aspect and this review by #autoguide shows it all!
Getting better....
Now all we need is Acura,Infiniti,Lincoln, and Volvo to get one
Actually Lincoln debuted the continental concept
Only Lincoln can come close. Acura and Volvo don't even have rwd platforms, and infinitis are just not there in terms if luxury. Other than the German three, Cadillac, jaguar and Lexus, there aren't too many choices when it comes to big full size rwd limos
I want Cadillac to bring back some of the old model names. This should have been the Fleetwood. Bring back the Coupe De Ville!
I think their is still a stigma on American cars including Cadillac, imports have built a reputation on high standards however even though automakers like Tesla are changing this stigma the damage is done. is this guy saabkyle's cousin ???
+fugu fugu lol right - #saabkyle is the best
34 Speakers?... Holy shit
The interior is HORRIBLE
In what way? Would you like to elaborate?
osamaFXX kirbyswarp The renderings of the interior look great, but in real life, or in actual person, the interior is nothing compared to the quality and precision of the German interiors. John Paul Reis Nice patriotism mr American flag.

Fake materials? WTF are you smoking that's all real.

Did y'all really copy the Jaguar back lights? -_-

They are great CARS. Jeezus!!!
I am very excited about this car I plan to buy it 3-4 years used to replace my 2010 dts platinum
A lot of people can its just that they prioritize purchasing a car over other big finances like a house or kids, etc.
Frank Assnot Guess you didn't much of your homework, because you would know one of the versions of this car is expected to be 90k+.
Quinn alcor after optioning it up...im talking base price. Damn son
Justin Wright just trying to bring people back to earth. Gotta post it lots of times to get to these financial wannabees...(like yourself)
Thos taillights remind me of Jaguar XJ
branot89 They're more of a nod to Cadillac's older vehicles to me. Especially since they're mounted right at the edge (like on a Fleetwood for example), and not swooping inwards like on the XJ.

هذي بكم ودياها اقصاد ‹☹›
bad ass car,
Comparing this to a mercedes Benz S Class The interior doesn't compare but when compared to the 7 series interior it's about equal or little better.
WHERE IS MY EL MIRAJ??
That and the ciel! hopefully by 2020 because they're gonna 7 other all new vehicles.
+Mike Man elmiraj, xt5, and, New xlr and, Seville and New deville possibly a v12 option but the other one is a mystery to me but maybe a eldarodo or, ciel
Scotty Perrillioux So they're still planning on the El Miraj?? Thanks for the update - seemed like a no brainer to put that on the assembly line!
+diapersFTMFW11 yes of course a no brainer the elmiraj and, xt5 are set to be released some time this spring
+Scotty Perrillioux xlr not xt5 the xt5 is set for 2017
Nice.
Wait when you see this comming down the road your going to think Bossy...
nice one
It needs a v12 !!!! Just give this car a v12 an it will be golden !
Where is the FUCKING WOODWHEEL?!?!? I need to grip grain....👊🏽
I'm actually starting to like German cars less and others more.
Makes a lovely change from the usual German stuff. M.
Caddy really needs to undercut the Germans if they plan for the CT6 to be successful. They jacked the price way up on the ELR and look how that turned out.
Cadillac is good car!
The exterior looks plain and a remix of Caddy styles. I think the Lincoln Continental stole it's thunder.
*by stealing the ass of the Saab 9-5*
I don't like the big caddy shield on the grill. Too big.
The features are great but the seats and the interior is plain as hell
All they need is panoramic view.
German chocolate VS American Pie
Why not both :p
+hursti05
I don't like the lights of the cars, looks so damn ugly and discrepant
+George Bush terrible. not good
Old school caddy.
This is nice.
All these cars that these companies are spitting out looks the same...and they want us to spend 70k or over? Nahhhh I am good.
I love how they took an otherwise great looking car and put the same ugly steering wheel design from the Impala in it. Ugh.
One of the most disappointing debuts ever.
+Georgie Merrill. they should factor that in, because that adds huge style points
+Karun Chendrimada fuck yea the only reason im not starving to get it is the v6 ..in a big sedan?? are u kidding me
You don't see rolls Royce or Bentley downsizing their engines for massive sales in China. I'm not saying I don't understand why they did it, I'm saying I don't believe it's because if China

Cadillac-American glory NOT euro shit!
Chrysler tried to copy rolls Royce phantom now caddy tries to copy the phantom rolls Royce
4 cylinder in a luxury flagship. What a joke. Twin turbo should be base engine with v8 upgrade available.
David Belknap The turbo 4 is enough for such a lightweight car, and they're developing a V8 in the 500hp range.
Offering the twin turbo 4 in this is pathetic. The two sixes will do just fine imo.
***** It's for the fuckin' CAFE regulations. The average fuel economy for each car company must reach 50 mpg or something like that. It should be decently quick considering this is a lightweight car. Probably will get to 60 in less than 7 seconds.
***** It's lighter than a 5 series with a 4 cylinder so this should be fine.
C'mon, guys. Neat Work! like humorous What's your opinion about that, guys !!
Meh, Hardly a competitor for the one True luxury sedan - The S series.
You mean the S class. Idiot.
nice car but with GMs history rather not take my chances and stick with my mercedes
what is up with the plain ass interior...this is a flagship car for Caddy, and Audi, Porsche, BMW, and LExus makes better interiors and instrument clusers...
Put a V8 in it then it'll be a real Cadillac!
Gonna start at $70k.
+Sheila LaShay more like $53k
NapsterDawson Yes, I saw that price on the Caddy website. But that basic.
Bigger than a BMW 7 series
No V8 option
Fail
Ya no Sh@#! I have a 01 Deville and the Northstar feels like a 4 banger. This car needs the CTS-V engine and it will be Legend!!
sharkheadism
If it is lighter than a 7 series then it does not matter.
bighands69 yes it does
sharkheadism It doesn't need a V8. The 3.0 TT V6 can easily keep up with the other V8s.
ChooChooTrain02 Lmao
I'm disappointed. Plain on the outside, borderline ugly on the inside. I'll just get a used 2014 CTS VSport and hope for an update for CUE.
i love cadillac but they need to go back to the drawing board with this one plus the interior is awful and it looks old and outdated. for that matter whats up with all these damn 4cyl?????? that car is too damn big to have a 4cyl...........stop being cheap cadillac and spend some damn money!!! while the V is hands down one of the best it like you really don't give any thought to any other model in your line up. the ats interior is god awful to even in the ATS V its terrible. again stop being cheap cadillac and maybe your euro rivals will take you more seriously
overall still American car
Lol, American cars are getting better.
Back looks ugly. Looks like an old man Cadillac
omg Cadillac the name of the car is horrible call it a DeVille Embassy Fleetwood Brougham anything but that
اللبناني
german cars still bether
