  • The are plenty of "bass only" tracks with Cliff, but I though his bass sounds a bit lonely on them. So here are the bass and drums master tracks mixed together.
    I think Lars' drumming here is excellent.

    Its a shame the bass isn't a little louder on the album. Cliff throws some cool licks in there.

      @KeeperOfCliffsTone 9 лет назад +18

      +Thelucidbohemian yeah people constantly write how his tone was wrong, boy they are wrong his tone is all you need to be heared, but not in case lars burries you deep down so his kick drum can be heared...all we need is metallica re release the albums with bass higher up in the mix(pure volume of the bass needs to enchance, and you could hear him well)

      LISTEN UP!
      a bit too low, could be a tad bit louder so you can hear him well without having to listen close

      I wish they were mixed the way early 80s Rush was. Then you could hear everyone pretty clear.

    Only by listening to bass & drums-only tracks like these you would be able to differentiate the different bass playing style by all 3 tallica's bassist (or 4 including Ron). The classical influence in Cliff was obvious especially in Orion. If you listen to Robs, theres a bit of funky groove in his style.

    One thing that I've noticed is that the double bass drums that Lars play after the solo in the live performances of the song does not appear in the original album or at least, it's pretty low in the mix. Here's the same.

    Great! I have always appreciate Cliff Burton's playing.
    I like very much that he was not copying the rhythm guitar parts too much like other do and that he was doing his version instead. Great bassist!
    I have started listening to Metallica just few months before his death, but when they came in Italy for the Master Of Puppets tour he sadly was already gone.
    It has been a great concert, anyway, (Metal Church as opening band, in their original line up!), but I would have liked to see Cliff Burton. Jason Newsted has done great too, of course!
    Greetings!

    @metalman2227 It was a lengthy process. On RUclips, you can find the individual master tracks for many Metallica songs (taken off Metallica Guitar Hero game). I used a sound-editing software to record those tracks and mix them together in any way I like. Then I saved the MP3, made a video in Windows Movie Maker, and uploaded it here. Voila!
