This video is the reason why I am having you guys tune my build when is done. Also why I watch every video because I can learn something I maybe wouldn't here anywhere else
I own a Pro charged 3.7 Mustang built Motor, trans, circle d blah blah Best 1/4 11.2 @123 mph . My wife and daughter hate how small mustang is. So I picked up a 14 Caprice ppv 6.0 for a family cruiser. I've loved my P1SC on my mustang besides occasional belt slip ( engine rpm 7500-8000rpm) has been rock solid for 30,000 miles. I was debating doing LSA swap or going Procharger On 14 Caprice PPV. My goal is 450-475 whp with stock exhaust manifolds, cats and exhaust ,stock cam on the stock P1SC pulley running 5-6 psi. With seeing your video and HP numbers I'm confident the P1SC will be enough supercharger for me. Thanks for all the information
P1sc-1 are so slept on. My C5Z 12 years ago made 740 with a direct drive and a 3" pulley on 93 and an M10 nozzle. The internet is in love with bigger centri's but the little guys regularly punch above their weight class.
I've been looking at different Centrifugal units for a custom build im working on, and I really like the price point of thr Torqstorm....what I dislike, and the reason I haven't picked one up yet, is all the secrecy behind their performance. The fact that they dont publish their Compressor efficiency map is a massive red flag.
Great comparison, guys! Random, but I was talking with Chris a month or so back and he mentioned a G8 you were possibly going to be doing soon with a 2300 blower and a red hot cam. Just curious if that project is still green lit and happening soon? Excited to see that combo lol.
What trap speed u think it will make or 60-130 ? I also am gonna make an opinion, I think the p1sc at 10psi has more lower end power or more of a bite off the hit then the bigger blowers. But I’m sure the bigger blowers pick up more steam on the top end with less heating issues at the same psi of a p1sc
@@nufnuffz28 ahhh okay Then I’ll correct myself on that statement I think then the p1sc is really meant for cars that need to run like 4-5psi bc of high compression Perfect example is a c6 z06, that blower can be easily restricted down to 4-5 psi then I’m just trying to find a reason why pro charger has a p1sc still offered lol
Less heat and faster recovery than an LSA boost to boost. You are also never going to see an LSA make almost 700 RWHP on 9-10 psi cam only as the PC is more efficient. LSA is great for low-end power and torque, but they heat badly if spun hard! We prefer PC over LSA. (We also have a video comparing two cars we tuned the same day a few years ago)
Its only like 20-30 over ambient thanks to the intercooler when sitting, and once moving down the road, the temps drop back down even at speeds as low as 5mph.
Hey guys i watch your videos and im trust worthy of your work .i have a 2014 chevy ss sandan ls3 what would it cost me for you guys to pro charge it for me or would it be better to supper charge it.witch way would you go
I like that idea as well. We did it this way as they are both the base setups (well, the TS had a treadstone). Obviously, the P1 will outshine the TS if spun at maz blower speed

Happy to help. Let us know if you need anything
Great video guys!
Thanks!
A surge tank setup, is the best budget way to make a good fuel system. Been doing it for years.
Thanks

We like them a lot!
Just wait till you try a P1X :)
@@erikradzins Currently D1x.......same car same engine.
Good comparison! I’d be interested to see some of the bigger torqstorm superchargers and how they compare as well.
We haven't had an 84mm TS on the dyno yet!
Yea that was a lot of information lol makes my head spin. Thanks for the video and all your hard work!
Glad to help! We threw a lot of information in this video.

We always say... if you're happy with 600 rwhp, it's a decent choice. If you may want more, skip it.

Yes. Next month or so.
@@nufnuffz28 Awesome!
Amazing content guys! Would love to do this set up on mine. What is the cost savings of P1 over D1?👍🏻👍🏻
6-800 on intial purchase (2 to 3 core and D1)
Is this car SBE? Looking at a similar setup for my G8 hoping to get with you guys on a kit in the future.
Yes

Checked a D1 graph. Same exact torque until the D1 started pulling away some
Should run EASY 10s full weight.

@elevatedperformance we like them! We hope to turn this one up to 12-15 psi at some point. Its a capable blower
I have a 09 g8 fbo, btr stage 2 cam.
In the future I plan on procharging, would a 3600 stall be to much?
No. Centri blowers like the same converters NA setups do
I wonder how vortechs tsi blower would do verses these 2?
Not sure. Honestly never tested them!
Where are you located? Just found your channel.
Central NC
@@nufnuffz28 Ah, ok. I was going to say, it's 13 degrees here and going to be 4 degrees tonight. IL. LOL
You're lucky.
@@funfun8095 not lucky. YUCK. Lol
I've heard that prochargers make a ton of heat for a centrifugal blower. What has been y'alls experience with this? I'm leaning towards LSA

Bad spot for that air filter.. sucking in pure header heat
@hanzyj7021 we route them differently sometimes, but the base kits puts them here on the TS and PC

A procharger IS a supercharger. lol
You're differences in superchargers are, Roots, Screw, and centrifugal.
Correct
Some good info but not much of a TS vs P1 comparison. I’d like to see these 2 on the same capable car at max blower rpm.
I like that idea as well. We did it this way as they are both the base setups (well, the TS had a treadstone). Obviously, the P1 will outshine the TS if spun at maz blower speed
@@nufnuffz28 don't forget, you only had the 3.4 pulley on the TS.
The guy in the background need to stop over talking the other guy let him talk
It's me, filming. I do the tuning, so we try to bounce things off of each other in the videos.....
Torque storms are junk by what I’ve heard
They seem to do OK. It's a lot to do with a good intercooler
Power for the price is crazy 3800$ vs 6-7k for the p1. I have a friend with a 6.0 made 670whp with heads cam and the torqstorm
