Mach won! This takes me back! I forgot how tail happy the 8.8 was without at least moderate suspension upgrades. I did a solid axle swap in my 03 cobra out of a 98 cobra and I changed darn near everything. 10 way adjustable shocks, drag springs, lower control arms, etc. It was dead hooking on a 17 inch 315 Nitto in second gear with 585 rwhp. Thankfully these 8.8s aren’t too expensive to build.
He said in the video he banged it extra hard and cut the wheel goofing off and it doesn't normally do it that way. He is also running garbage 300+ tw entry level tires which aren't adequate for this power level. Having a proper tire alone does wonders..
Bought my comp orange mach brand new in 04 still have it today 26k miles and procharged for 10k basic mods. It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The Windows are always down and it gets rowdy. Loud and mean . I will keep it till my final days. 1 of 1039 in the world!
I used to have a 2004 mach 1 black on black with a p1SC and the AFS deep dish wheels just like yours. I regret so much selling it about 10 years back. Keep this beautiful car the way you have it. I love that it still looks close the original but you have made some very tasteful cosmetic and performance modifications. Good job! take good care of it. They are becoming harder to find. Noting cooler than seeing the shaker shake as you floor it and the engine twists
Reminds me a lot of my car. I've a 97 Cobra that I put the Cobra Procharger intercooled kit on about 5 yrs ago. Cobra kit has undercut impeller so only produces 6-8lbs boost due to stock junk cast pistons. I put in 340lph fuel pump, 60lb Siemenns injectors, 90mm Lightning MAF(not best choice as I've an HPX slot style to put in and retune someday, runs good for now), Kirban adjustable FPR. Had car tuned on a Mustang dyno, made 400 RWHP, tuner said on a Dynojet would be 440-450RWHP as Mustang dynos read approx 10-15% lower than Dynojet. Have ran car 1/4 mile. Stock with exhaust, 4:10s, ran 13.6 @104 on street tires. After Procharger install, ran 12.2 @ 116 on ET Streets and easy launch (1.90 60') as I drove car 100 miles to track, didn't wanna break anything. Car also has 128,000 mi on it. All runs made with car at full weight, only thing out of car was spare and jack.
I have the exact same car and color. Blew my engine racing a bike many moons ago and went with a MMR Stroker set up. Replaced my P1 with a D1. Built 4rw70 with a TB. Now looking to go F1A or D1X. Beautiful car
These can rev to 8000 too with upgraded rods and cams and a manifold that makes power to there (just like a coyote) and stand alone. The stock ecu limits you to 7000 or so rpm. These 4v 4.6 can rev to the moon too theyre just an older coyote basically.. gen 1 and 2 coyotes redline at 6800 stock too just like these did and the na cobra all the way back to 96 was same redline. These were impressive for their time. Boss rods and forged pistons you can reliably make 700 rwhp which is ALOT in one of these as theyre several hundred pounds lighter than the newer mustangs.
Sweet ride bro, nice set up! I actually want one of these or a Terminator, and I'd go with a mild setup. I'm not looking to go all Mr. Horsepower just a clean mild street-able daily driver setup. Good job bro. 👍
Fun fact when Koenigsegg made his first production car this was the engine platform he build the 4v 4.6 that got bored to a 4.7 he still uses the same engine just heavily re engineered but at the end of the day to u Chevy and dodge guys a Swedish maniac made a Legendary ford engine down right insane
Welcome to the mach1 community. How looks like a low mileage motor. I got a 2004 mach as well azure blue built all forged 11:1 compression aggressive cams beehive springs all arp hurricane oil pump long tube headers ford performance time kit cloud duel clutch would love to see more content of this car
Obviously with the bigger mas air the big air kit what injectors would u recommend this area I'm not to faint of knowledge with also have accubfab duel TB too more air more fuel usually mean more power theoretically. I will most likely put a pro charger on but not high boost. Thinking maybe 8-10 lbs with my compression ration all arp everything. What's ur thought on that.
@tommymach1301 I'd say you'd be fine at 10 psi with good tuning it's gonna make some power. I'd do a ported short runner intake too that'll help it both na and boosted.
That’s why your spinning so much. Those tires are entry level at best. Car sounds great throw some r888r’s or nitto on the back and it will change it huge.
About your Heavy Clutch: On a few different New Edges after upgrading the clutch, we’ve had a stupid heavy deal when using an aftermarket cable. Go back to a Ford cable and all is well again. Just a thought. The New Edge are very much like driving an older muscle car. Still old school chassis and suspension setup basically out of the 70s but refined over the years. So much smaller than the modern Mustangs so still a true pony car.
Furreal! If you want to add a little bit more Pizzazz to the look of the Mustang, I've always thought that the blackout panel they make for those Mach 1's are perfect! Maybe black out the roof and the top of the deck lid and I think that'll be more than enough to really set it off. You've already got the deep dish wheels on it, it's yellow, which is perfect for the Mach 1, since it's a bona fide muscle car, and it's supercharged with a shaker hood. The exhaust sounds bitchin' ... honestly, if you did anything else to it, you might screw it up!
Pushing 540rwhp through an auto on my stock long block 04 Mach. 15psi Vortech V1 S and e85. You can make significantly more than 500rwhp if you do it right and have a good tune.
@@midnight347 yes, mine is at 498rwhp on 93. I run it on E though in the summer. I haven't ran it at the track on 93 since 2016 when it was at 452rwhp.
Do they sell the black ones like that from factory or is it painted and also did you just swap the air filter tube with that honeycomb guard or did it come like that?
No get an 01 cobra front bumper if you can find em their real rare because they look more aggressive by the way it comes up in the middle yal get the 01 cobra front bumper cover an tail lites of the 01 cobra an the hood of an 03 cobra an the rear valance of the 03 cobra an that it but if you can't get all four pieces at least get the front valance off an 01 cobra an then look at the front yal I know a guy I know put an 01 cobra valance an 01 tail lites on his cobra terminator an yal that's the look an me I have an 01 cobra .
Don't put terminator bodywork on it. Keep it Mach 1 and represent.
I put the cobra spoiler it makes it way cleaner in my opinion, other than that all mach
I agree. Keep the Mach 1 looking like a Mach 1
What’s the paint color bro? Is that screaming yellow? I love the color and having to repaint one of my new edge and would something similar

Beautiful mach! Please keep the terminator bumper off though, these machs look best with GT/99/01 cobra bumper. Sounds and looks really nice 👍🏼
That mach 1 is sick. I think I need to procharge mine
Nitrous man, trust me, I run 150 shot on 315 nto5rs with 456 gears, you'll never lose from a dead stop

Sounds unbelievably amazing!!
Mustang are forever 🤘
this sold me. i was looking at a few mustangs for the summer and one of them being a procharged mach1. i think ive made my choice
I have the exact same car and color. Blew my engine racing a bike many moons ago and went with a MMR Stroker set up. Replaced my P1 with a D1. Built 4rw70 with a TB. Now looking to go F1A or D1X. Beautiful car

You don’t need upgraded rods just better cams and valve springs so it doesn’t valve float

Yeah a lot of people got no clue about this lol
Beautiful car, congratulations!
It’s beautiful. 😭
The fact that this is around me and I’ve never seen it is very sad. I’ll have one soon!!
Sounds so nasty bro. Loved the video… 01 Cobra here thinking of going pro charger route instead of Eaton swap.
She looks good!
I’m in CT. What town is this kid from? I would love to pick his brain on this build. Nice Mach!
Welcome to the mach1 community. How looks like a low mileage motor. Your setup can prob do 400+ wheel na ecsp on e85.

@tommymach1301 you could run alot more boost with better fuel than 93 octane you should be fine on 93 at 10 psi.
That’s why your spinning so much. Those tires are entry level at best. Car sounds great throw some r888r’s or nitto on the back and it will change it huge.
Yeah they definitely aren’t the best. Planning on doing a mt radial
Mach 1s man. Thats where its at rn
Do not put a Cobra bumper or spoiler, a Mach one is beautiful in its own way that GT front bumper will grow on you.

The car has an oem cable
Love the car , Vws were my thing too until I discovered mustangs!
Mustangs have been around for 50+ years for a good reason!

I WANT IT!!
How many times have i seen this now?
I have steeda lower control arms. 5.3 stroker motor. Car stays straight on a launch.
Are your back wheels wider than the front? What do you do when it’s time to rotate? What size are the tires and wheels?
Pushing 540rwhp through an auto on my stock long block 04 Mach. 15psi Vortech V1 S and e85. You can make significantly more than 500rwhp if you do it right and have a good tune.
Yea and really good fuel like e85. That makes a huge difference. It's alot easier to get one to stay alive on e85 vs 93 octane.
@@midnight347 yes, mine is at 498rwhp on 93. I run it on E though in the summer. I haven't ran it at the track on 93 since 2016 when it was at 452rwhp.
@wallyc7349 that's pretty good on 93 not bad. They're not quite as weak as they're made out to be.
Do they sell the black ones like that from factory or is it painted and also did you just swap the air filter tube with that honeycomb guard or did it come like that?
What headlights are those❤
Badass
So what all is required to put on a procharger like that, what kind of injectors do you use and what intercooler
set of 4.10 rear gears would really make it scream
Thinking of doing the d1sc on my Mach. Curious what bov you have?
What’s your exhaust system? I want mine to sound like that!
What rear gears are on this Mach 1?
That thing will smoke all the 5.0 s550s
Can I do this to my 2003 gt auto?
Yes they make kits for the GT.
Exhaust setup please? Factory headers? X or H?
Long tubes, x pipe
How much is a pro charger?
This setup is about $6,500 on lethalperformance
Enjoyed this vid...subb'd
Why did this dude say he had a turbo?
He was joking
maybe... maybe I should stop thinking about selling the mach... xD
Dude it comes with an intercooler……obviously 😂😂
They sell non intercooled kits
