DBZ Hyper Dimension - Fightcade - Voodoo (P1) vs Chaotic-Strike (P2)

Going onto Fightcade when you just started today, and only know one character. What could go wrong? Sick combos from Voodoo to show what Hyper Dimension is like at a high level. Fightcade replays don't work with this game, so I had to record the match with OBS.
The game seems fun. I'll stick with it to get better.

I remember discovering this game back in the early days of emulation. Me and my friend had to crowd over a single keyboard to play it.

This Voodoo guy is an absolute god. I really like games where it's not just combos, but also sneaky/clever tactics. At one point Voodoo's Goku goes far away to charge his ki, which naturally had you feeling safe to charge your ki as well, right? NOPE, he takes the opportunity and uses instant transmission to deliver Goku's desperation attack. So freaking cool. Thank you for recording and sharing this!

He’s actually been playing this game for a long time. I remember him making videos on RUclips in the early 2000s. It was an honor to get my ass kicked by him lol. For some reason Hyper Dimension doesn’t have working replays in Fightcade which is a shame.

Is there something I'm missing about the "charge down" moves like Buu's candy attack and rainbow punch, along with Gohan's High kick?
Other people seem to be able to perform them quickly... but I've always found that you need a solid second or two holding down before you can execute it.
