Okay I feel like I need to share this: I was visiting my friend who was doing her student exchange in Daejeon and one morning we decided to get our breakfast from a (apparently famous?) local bakery. We were just choosing what to get and I noticed this filming group stepping into the bakery and they instantly spotted us (two scandinavians lol) so I just said to my friend something like "oh shit, RUN!" and I was able to escape but they caught my friend so I felt that I needed to go back for her support :D I still don't know the show we got ourselves in, but it definitely was an experience hahaha!

what you said about meeting people at certain places is so true! i actually went to follow a tour in the secret garden in 2018, but there weren't any English tours, so i decided to just follow a Korean tour (despite not being able to understand Korean back then.) one of the fellow visitors, a woman about my mum's age, started translating everything to me and chatting to me and even bought me an iced coffee! it was so sweet. moments like that are the ones you'll never forget.

I just broke down in happy tears when they sang the song! I really miss Korea and what you said is true they can be really kind. I had a similar experience during Spring maybe 2 years ago at an odd place in the toilet when suddenly a bunch of ahjummas looked at me and said I was pretty and we had a good laugh. Is it weird that I was touched when you thanked the bee? Bees are disappearing at an alarming rate, and that moment just made me realize, why isn't EVERYONE thanking bees? They're what make the green things grow, and when we lose them, we lose flowers, we lose trees, we lose, well, food, population, and way of life. They're our front line essential, workers, and they're so underrated for their service. Sorry for waxing eloquent about bees, but that moment really got me. Also, the little old ladies, walking along and singing - I felt that, too. Made me think of my grandmother in Korea, and how much I miss her. I must've woken up in a nostalgic mood today, everything is just making my insides go squishy. xD
