I also had some wholesome moments during my time in Seoul as an exchange student. I lived off campus and always had to take the subway home and one day there was this ahjussi who kept looking at me and then approached me to ask whether I am from the US and after I said No I am actually from Germany, he got really excited. And he started talking to me about a famous forest in Germany he always wanted to visit (Schwarzwald) and a German singer he likes. And the best was that he taught me a little of Korean history: the reporter who took pictures from the Gwangju Uprising was actually German! That was so cool to learn! And his English was really good! Very wholesome moment I often think back to. :)
I feel like the older people in South Korea are friendlier than the young adults. When I visited South Korea, we were getting in the subway with our luggages and this old grandpa just helped us place them. He ended up showing us the way to the airport terminal even though we didn't ask. He even got off the subway, led us (he knew a shortcut!) all the way until he couldn't anymore. He was the nicest! 👴
Omg this is where tae and namjoon went up as a punishment or run bts! Recently namjoon went there again and uploaded pictures on their twitter. So nice to see you up there☺💕

I travelled to Korea by myself and met some wonderful random people like this. Helpful and kind and so curious. I can't wait to go again and hopefully my korean is a bit better and i have more headspace to truly enjoy certain parts of my trip (it was so fast-paced last time I was there haha!) :)
Oh Cari I loved this one! it's a simple vlog but just seeing you hiking, chatting with a sweet old man, meeting up with your friends, wandering around Seoul, etc. makes me happy cos' remind me what's good about life. Right now in Italy the Covid situation worsened again so since tomorrow we are going again in a strict lockdown: all shops close, restaurants close, going out just for valid reasons. It's been a tough year and in Europe the situation it's still the same, so seeing that around the world there are still places where you can enjoy life is good and give me good vibes. And I miss travel and meeting people from around the world...maybe one day I'm gonna be back to my normal life. ;( Thanks for the vlog, it made me happy :)

Hi Cari! I’m the one who commented a while ago that the jeju vlogs inspired me to remodel my animal crossing island! So a little Update on that, I finished my Osulloc tea museum area, I finished the orange tree farm + added a section to weight the fruits alongside a little tent to take pictures in! I’ve been screenshooting my fav part of the recent videos and I’m taking inspiration for the city area of my island! 🌸🍊

Hi Cari - hello from Ireland! I just recently came upon you and I really enjoy your videos and going around your various neighbourhoods. Seoul looks like such a cool place; so "booky" and "design-ey" and actually laid-back! Is that true? You get to go to such a lot of great bookshops and design stores and photography places and quirky, unique library-cafe type places. It's my idea of the perfect city. Plus it 's got lots of laneways and nooks and crannies etc. and it doesn't look at all uptight or snooty!! Thanks for all your video tours, they are really enjoyable.
I’m always amazed when you mention your bus being fast or with loud music because that is so normal here in Mexico (at least in my city) some buses are reckless drivers, with music pumping loudly that can’t even listen to your own while wearing headphones, also they have crazy lights inside and some of them even have TV’s with music videos, they are almost all the time decorated on the inside with stuffed animals (sometimes obscenities or bad words) they are bumpy and with curtains on the windows, they are crazy things that I absolutely love hahaha, I guess I’ve gotten used to them, but I’m sure you’d be surprised at how rough the public transportation is in my city 🤣
Jajajaja yesss. I mean you never know what you might get each time you get on the bus. I've seen a bus driver that collects like Homer Simpson figurines and has them above his seat
