Nice video, Aleg! It answers lots of question about the Asus VP229Q monitor.
This Asus monitor is supposed to have two 1.5 watt internal speakers. My question: Is it easy to turn them off? I have external speakers, so I wouldn't need them.
Also, is the AC power adapter located at the end of the cord or in the middle? HP monitors usually have the power adapter in the middle of two cords that run to an AC outlet, but most monitor manufacturers locate them at the end of the cord. I've never owned an Asus monitor, so I don't know the location of their power adapters, but I suspect they're at the end of the power cord.
This is one of the monitors I've been looking at for a small desk space, so any answers to the above questions would be very much appreciated. 🙂

You can just switch in Windows between monitor speakers and external ones or even bluetooth.
I ll check about power adapter and update

@@alegreviews I see. Thanks for the info, Aleg!
This monitor looks crisp and clear in your video. Is that the way it looks in real life? Also, do the colours look accurate to you? I've read good things about this model, but I haven't seen one in real life. I'd have to special order it to get one. Anyway, thanks for your help here! 🙂

@mote99 looks fine, new monitors will look better than old ones from 8 years ago. Also same image in same resolution looks better on smaller screen because pixel size is smaller, but you ll probably have to sit closer with smaller monitor.
My main monitors are quiet expensive so they are definitely better.
I cannot really compare it to anything in this class as I didn’t review. Overall I just don’t suggest buying anything that is off-brand - brand you never heard of. If you buy a new model of a known brand - they all gonna be ok. I d just pick what is on sale and color/design and must be FHD, because there is still some cheap stuff that is only HD (but again off brand generally)

@@alegreviews I understand your point, but I've actually seen some cheap new monitors that look worse than good monitors from 8 years ago. LOL! I definitely want full HD, but some of the cheap monitors have very poor colour accuracy. I think that's because they're bad 6-bit + FRC panels, rather than true 8-bit panels. That's what I've read. This Asus monitor is supposed to be a true 8-bit, IPS monitor, so the colour accuracy should be decent.
Due to limited desk space, I'm looking for a 22-inch monitor. From the specs and reviews I've read, this one sounds pretty decent. But if you see any better 22-inch monitors, let me know. LOL! There aren't as many 22-inch models on the market now, because most companies are making 24-inch and larger models. The 22-inch monitor selection is limited now.
Anyway, thanks very much for the info and your thoughts on this Asus monitor, Aleg! If you remember where the power adapter is located, let me know. If not, it's not a big deal. Thanks again for the info, and good luck with your future reviews! 🙂

@mote99 yes. Needs to be 8 bit IPS FHD. Expensive monitors from 8 years ago are still gonna be better. But cheap ones - not.
