Great video I bought mine when it was Black Friday and paid 199.00. Every review I saw gave this brand as the best for its price range. Nice to know that the company backed their product up when there was an issue which happens even to the best of them.
I appreciate your time and effort in making the video. You really underestimate these little machines. I had one and you can actually cut 1/2" steel with it. On 220v of course. And when you cut angle iron like that with a standoff or without you should cut it from the outside instead of the inside. The distance from the tip to the material is critical in getting a clean cut and in the life of the consumables. Crank that air pressure up to 65psi! I've actually had 2 and both were stolen shortly after I got them. The third one will be coming soon as my video cameras and security system obviously had to come first. Crank it up and enjoy it! They are awesome machines.
Great review! Thanks for taking the time to help others to get better informed. I just got this same great little machine and it sputtered on 115v too but I switched it to 20 amp 115v circuit and it worked like a champ. The book seems to indicate it needs 20A to 45A input on 110V Hope this helps
I had lincoln for 12 years and ran it hard It finally gave up 2 Months before I retied .Since I Only need one for my home shop now I didn't I needed to spend high dollars for another lincoln I looked around for something that was more economical.Of all the one I looked at the bestarc btc500dp was the best one to fit my needs at a good price .I've used it on quite a few jobs and like the way it performs it functions a lot better then the price would suggest. I also purchased extra consumables I'm glad I Did I think the price is going to go up as more people buy this unit .Good review no BS
@@TrentsGarage ,I have taken the wire gide off to use as a drag style cutter head so that I could get into a tight corner, and found there was no harm to the plazma head . I have also since used it a few times on the flat. I looked at a friends drag style plasma cutter and the head looks the same as mine I have come to believe that on these low budget plasma cutters they us only one style of head for economic purpose.I,m not saying that anyone should do this . I'm just stating what I did and that I did not burn the tip out.
Thanks for the video! Now I know which plasma cutter I’m buying. This one in the video! I’ll be using it for auto body. Cutting old cab corners off, rockers, bed sides etc…
I've been using one of these since March, just a hobbiest but so far I love mine. I must admit I haven't ever tried it on 110 though so I don't know if mine would do what you'rs did initially. My compressor pretty much maxes out the 110 outlet in the garage so I've always used the 220 to keep from tripping the breaker. So far I've never had an issue other than user error, such as not getting a good ground connection and similar stupid things.
Thanks for your feedback. I've had the same issue with user error when not getting a good ground, thought it was broken but it was just my mess up haha.
Cool. I'm debating this one vs Lotos LTP500D. Lotos is better known, but also more expensive. They both have the same features like the pilot arc and built in regulator.
Yeh man, the LTP500D is all over the internet...you look "best budget plasma cutters", and it makes everyone's list. Bestarc is lesser known, but seems well reviewed, has same specs/features, and the price, WOW! There's a package deal now on Amazon for it with a bunch of consumables (speaking of which) for $260. Tempting.
Some people say they’ve received theirs with the 220 volt plug as the primary plug and others say they received it with a 110 as the primary plug. What did yours come with?
Thank you for a good review. I have the same model being delivered today. Gambled a little on it since like you said there is not a lot of reviews online for this machine. What amp breaker do you run for the 220? I am about to add a new receptacle in the garage just for it. Thanks
Hey thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed my review. I believe I have a 50 amp circuit breaker but I'll have to check to confirm. I use my 240 outlet for my aircompressor welder and the plasma cutter.
Thanks for the review Bud, good job! Just received my Bestarc. So overly thrilled about trying it out on an adventure into an exhaust manifold debogle. See if I've been living right lately! What field of view did you go with on the helmet 7" or 9". Thnx again
Getting ready to buy one, can't find a straight answer in search engine... What is the difference between AG-60 and AG-60P Is the "P" just to designate a Pilot Arc feature in the Torch Head? I'm seeing all these consumable packages with SG-55 AG-60 AG-60P WSD-60 and I have my eye on a nice bundle for $27 with 30 tips and electrodes and 10 cups and 10 brackets. It only lists WSD-60. Are these all interchangeable as far as consumables?
Update: AG60 is a non pilot arc torch (just like the PT31's) vs AG60P which is. This is a torch difference, and is noticeable by the extra wire or not. Useful to know if you ever need to get a new torch set. There is only one difference in the consumables and that is the cup. For Pilot arc you will need the longer cup with the channel for the guide clip to snap on to the cup. AG60 and AG60P tips and nozzles are the same. And they are cross compatible with (SG-55 / AG-60 / AG-60P / WSD-60) . I purchased a set of consumables labeled for WSD-60, and they fit and work fine on this unit. If I place them side by side with the tip and nozzle that came with the unit's torch, there's no real difference that can be seen, and the proof is in the fact that they work just as well.
Make sure you don't have water in your line, that's usually the most common culprit of sputtering. There's also an adjustment that can me make inside the machine with the gap for the pulse. But I didn't bother with it. I'd just send it back for a different one since you just got it. Let them deal with fixing it.
Maybe if you watched the whole video till the end you wouldn't have posted an idiotic comment. Also I purchased this with my own money from Amazon and made this video on my own accord no affiliation. Thanks for watching!

Just pulled the trigger yesterday. I stopped by for another opinion and check comments! Thanks for the review and also comments.
Just ordered mine today. Excellent video. Thanks for the review.

I hear the Lotos is good too. The bestarc works good can't go wrong with either imo. Another thing to consider is the cost of consumables.

believe my helmet is a 9" off the top of my head.
How is this plasma cutter working out? Did the second one have any issues. I just bought it.... but it hasn't arrived yet.
Second one works good. 💪

The p stands for pilot arc torch
Well that answered my question! Thanks!
Hello, had the same issue with the sputtering right out of the box. Any fixes other than sending back?

@@TrentsGarage thank you for the help and quick response.
😮
Every video I see said 30 to 35 on 120volts
"It looks like it's running just fine" As it sputters really bad 😂😆. The cheap Chinese paied for advertising are so funny
