    Get in there! Well done Hammy on passing the test and keeping it so quiet in the videos! My reply on my video was going to be weather you could drive artics or not and this video well and truly answers that. Good luck getting an artic to some of the venues you attend. ;)
    By the way if you ever get a job with Stagetruck, FlyByNight or any of the others on the artics, put in a good word for me. ;)

      Yes, now I can drive one legally! I'll still be working rigids for the same company. I only really did it as I've got some time off and it seemed stupid not to make use of the free time. I think the far future will involve looking for work with those companies though, if anything pops up I'll shout seggons at them!
      I have to say, it's your videos and fast as fox who've given me the kick up the arse to get it sorted so many thanks. Now the real learning starts!

      I'd had it booked up for a while, but figured I'd keep it quiet and stop any pressure being put on me. Nobody knew, not even my family. Was a bit of a shock when I told them today!

      I took a very similar route and only told my dad (mainly because I live with him). I even kept my brother in the dark despite working with him at the time. It just made things slightly less pressurised and less awkward if I failed.
      Edit: Enjoy the time off that you have to recharge those human batteries.

    Hammy You Dog, you kept that hush hush, Fantastic news mate, proper chuffed for you. Big shout out coming hamsters way.....that would make a good Trucker name. So what Next?

      @99hammy99  8 лет назад

      Yes, prefer keeping things like this quiet to keep the pressure off. Even my parents didn't know I was doing it!
      For the time being in staying with the company I work for on rigids. I mainly got it done as I had some time off and it seemed like the logical thing to do. Hoping to get some agency work in to help drill it all in before I go back to "normal" work in October. But I think long term I'll end up working on arctics, still doing music stuff.
      I place in your roll call would be much appreciated! And thanks. It's you and seggons who've given me the kick up the arse to do the C+E as I'd have happily just sat on a rigid licence without seeing both of your videos.

    Congratulations pal, you going to be doing the same work but on the arctics?

    • @99hammy99
      @99hammy99  8 лет назад

      Yes mate, at the moment I'll be sticking on rigids with the company I work for but this just opens up loads of doors for me now. Had some time off so I figured why not get it done.

      @MGR1610 8 лет назад

      +99hammy99 yeah always good to get it when you got the time and money to do it but not really need it, than possibly missing out on a good job in the future because you haven't got it

    • @99hammy99
      @99hammy99  8 лет назад

      +MGR1610 precisely. I was only going to do some rigid agency or something anyway, whereas now I can sign onto an fancy and hopefully get some artic experience in before I go back to my normal job. Be good if I can just to drill it all in.

    ps why Ipswich I though you lived near Mansfield.

    • @99hammy99
      @99hammy99  8 лет назад

      No; tractor boy born and bred! Lived in ipswich all my life. Company are in Mansfield which initially seems insane but it's not like I'm back and forward to work every day. I go there, go away for days, weeks if not a couple of months then come home again.
      Plus, living this far away means I never get called in to do things while I'm not working ;)
