    We stayed at that hotel and it's stunning. It was one of my wife's first night's in Peru and it's in the middle of nowhere and she was kind of scared. When we got there, she was stunned by how amazing it was and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

      I am so glad it lives up to the hype, it looks so beautiful as a non-guest. I've been talking with them about potentially offering some of my services there!

      I found out it wasn’t a desert however the sacred valley does share a lot of similarities with deserts, scientifically speaking🙏🏻

      @@mambokambo lol, you mean like Arizona desert? Over here for us desert is like the Sahara, You know, sand dunes, nothing on sight but sand....

      Not all deserts have sand dunes though, it’s based on rainfall, hence why most deserts have little vegetation

    What is the name of the hotel?

      The hotel is called the Tambo Del Inka, it’s 📈 super expensive (I mean I guess it depends on your budget but for me it is lol)

    Money follows a power law distribution. There are people that make 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times or more (as well as 1/10, 1/100) of what you make.

      It’s true and I never considered that applies even in the poorest areas (even if people are just passing through)

    👋 hi. I am thinking about doing the same thing you did. I cannot handle the high cost of living in the states. What'd you do about your money in the bank? How you transfer to peru?

    • @mambokambo
      @mambokambo  Месяц назад +1

      As of now I literally take money out of my bank account straight from the us with my debit card. The conversion rate isn’t too bad and depending on the ATM it’s anywhere from 2 to 25 dollars. There has to be a better way though, I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t even gotten around to it. However, the banks here charge insane conversion fees if you try to turn cash into Peruvian soles here

      I hope you do it and I am really excited for the future for you 🙏🏻 it’s great hearing from you and I hope to hear from you more

      depending on what bank it is the conversion rates can be shit with banks in peru like BCP, or BBVA. For speed I would say western union. Make sure to put your name right on it though because they can be needlessley difficult with things like that

    • @mambokambo
      @mambokambo  Месяц назад

      Interesting have you found western union to be relatively cheap as far as transfers go?

      @@mambokambo yes, I'm british and I can transfer about 1000 british pounds (1,278 United States Dollar) to 4700 soles for the cost of 5 pounds (6.39 USD). so it's transferring loads of money for a smaller fee. I used to directly transfer all of that using BCP and then converting it out of laziness, turns out I was losing loads of money, transferring 100 pounds at a time for a charge of 20 ponuds. hurts to say but I guess we learn...😅
