  • With multiple wins to his name during the Dubai World Cup Carnival and Royal Ascot, Blue Point is one of the most exciting sprinters the world of horse racing has witnessed in recent years.
    Boasting four Group 1 wins on the world stage, the son of Darley Stallions' Shamardal won the 2018 King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot Racecourse, the 2019 Al Quoz Sprint at the Dubai World Cup (Meydan Racecourse) before winning the 2019 King's Stand Stakes and 2019 Diamond Jubilee Stakes in the same week, just the third horse to complete a famous Royal Ascot double.
    He also placed in the 2018 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, the 2017 Commonwealth Cup behind Caravaggio and Harry Angel, to go with a third behind Churchill in the 2016 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes plus a second in the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes and a fourth in the 2017 32Red Sprint Cup Stakes.
    But there's a new kid on the block - Is Pinatubo (Shamardal) the heir apparent for Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation?

      I don't think that's true, but we'll never know.
      The international ratings had him at the top in 2019.
      I agree with that.

    Belvoir Bay ran 2nd to Blue Point... and; was a whopping 5-1 in the BC Turf Sprint at Santa Anita in 2019. I wished I'd have seen this video way back then.

      Stephen Bidgood sorry mate... but Australian sprinters would be travelling to a B grade competition.

    • @bjsr126
      @bjsr126 4 года назад

      Why would the Australians Travel? They can't compete In the Distance Races. Medium distance is much of a muchness, and then Australia's Sprinters are in a different League compared to Europe's.

    • @bjsr126
      @bjsr126 4 года назад

      Not to Mention, the prizemoney for sprints Money is bonkers here, The Everest is a race these top tier Europeans should be travelling too, and we'll know why they don't.
      Because they aren't up too it. Battaash and his high rating would be pantsed by Nature Strip.

      Ben Serpell
      Mate, Australian sprinters aren't in a different league, you just have more good ones than us.
      Your sprinters have won lots of races in England over the years but apart from Miss Andretti they've usually scraped in by less than a length.
      That's hardly being in a different league.
      Yes, the level of Australian sprinting is better than Europe but it's hardly "a different league".
      It's just by a matter of small degrees.

    Is it me or these horses have short legs.

  • @bjsr126

    If Only they Sent him to Australia To run in the Everest. To win sprints in Europe/ Dubai and Australia (predominantly where the best sprints are) would have secured him as An all time great.
