Honestly, i don't think we need this kind of hate in this hobby. She just have a passion and she is trying to make something out of it. I never saw her half naked in her videos and she is also really into mini painting, not like other "hobby girls" that have never picked up a paintbrush in their lifes. Imagine being this rude to someone at your flgs that is just enjoying their time. She clearly is not a pro painter, never presented herself as one. I am pretty sure that to a beginner she might be more helpful than the average "18 coats of thin paint to highlight a beltbuckle" kind of youtuber.
This is the first reaction to one of my videos!!! Yay!!😁 BOISSSS I may have made it! Anyways thanks for the reaction and comments! Liked and subscribed 😜
Whats this nerds problem? I have fun watching nukas videos. This JH video was just sad and annoying.Only clicked it because I thought it was one of hers.
"This video is intended as satire and critique" I'm still looking for the satire. To me, if this is the "character" you want to portray, it comes across as someone who feels they're a superior painter and are punching down on someone they feel is inferior. I mean, if that's the "satire", it's lacking in any sort of it. 'Definition: noun; the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.' None of this came across as particularly funny but humor is subjective. Best of luck with reviewing painting tutorials, however, maybe watch the video beforehand and find actual critiques other than "NOOOOO WHY WOULD YOU USE AVERLAND SUNSET NOOOOO" to show how you would paint it (even if every single person is going to paint the exact same mini in a different way from everyone else).
Don't really get why you'd make hate video for a young energetic fan creating content and bringing new generations into the hobby. Last I checked you don't need to be a pro painter to create content, and frankly her energy and effort is more entertaining than listening to some bitter dour nerd trying to gatekeep...
Man... Why you go so hard on some one who has the passion for the hobby? We all are at different skill levels and we all learn things differently and our own pace. I for one am a model kit builder and every project brings all new challenges. RUclips is a great source to learn things and see how things are done. This kind of roasting does not teach much about the hobby if I'm asked. I started following for your Gas Lands content but never did I expect to see a video like this from you.
I agree with you on the dislike of physical bands on IW parts. Not a fan of finding that on either the GW models or 3D prints. I appreciate the background to Alien effects work.
Video could've been about 3 minutes long if youd just made your points succinctly, instead of melodramatically bemoaning everything. But yes, her technique is mostly mediocre.
Bless her. She comes across very uncomfortable with the high energy call to action stuff. I don't think in the end the stripes came out too terrible, considering where they started. I was expecting the whole thing to look a lot worse but yeah it's all a bit of a shame. These are the techniques that get passed around and they're more effort than doing it properly.
Uhhhhh...this may be my actual personality and only gets worse from here! 😅 I actually just bought that averland sunset and was all clumpy and didn't go on well, which is why you guys saw me struggling on it. I don't like to skip steps on my tutorials, even if it looks bad. How I see it, is you guys can always learn from my mistakes. 😁
@nukakitten The more you talk excitedly at a camera, the more you'll get used to the volume you want and the energy you can show. Nothing against your personality, lol. And yeah, as James said in the video a few times, drybrushing would help lower the intensity of the highlights. It's a very useful skill to practice, makes painting so much quicker. All the best.
I’ll take 100 videos of someone trying their best and doing a perfectly good job with enthusiasm over anyone who feels the need to trash talk other people in the hobby. Congrats, she got my sub, you get a thumbs down
Right out of the gate dude outs himself as a misogynist: "It's a girl." What a horrible, toxic review. Just paint your own toys and leave other painters out of it. Making reaction videos to painting tutorials is the worst idea ever.
I'm kinda of the same view as everyone else... As someone who paints where's your perfect model? People have different styles. You can look at a model and like some bit and others not so much. You take the bits you like and you adapt it to yourself, your own style. She's got battered brushes and some of them I'd throw in the bin and she still pulls paint jobs together. Then again as a painter are there some things you get right - in your mind - and other things you don't do as well. Something a bit more constructive might be a bit more helpful to both you and her. I'm subscribed to her and not to you and based on this video I won't be subscribing to you because I like her attitude much more than yours. Maybe that's something to think on going forward.
I continue to see a lot of comments about the hate or negativity being projected. But people are missing the point. There are things being done, that even for a beginner you should not be showing others. Now I get it, she has positive energy, she likes doing the videos and that is all great, and good on her for showing others. But, we can all improve and things. Hazard stripes... we all know you shouldn't free hand them, they aren't going to look right. --The mixing of the paints. I mean these are all good things to point out. She probably did it because that is what she has on hand, and that is ok. But there are better ways to get that effect. - Her brush control is pretty good.

JH Miniatures, I take it then you have the expert tutorial on how to paint hazard stripes, I'd like to see it! Show us how it's done.
Masking tape ....it's that simple

Is it the wasteland anymore. I don’t see any recent Gaslands videos just hating on other RUclipsrs and click bait

Don't like and subscribe to this talentless hack. He's ripping on you and your video. I'd report him for bullying and harassment.

He ain't no superior painter , i've seen his effort at Turnip28 and it's terrible !

This seems unnecessarily mean. All of these videos do. Do one yourself instead

i feel like this is a ton of hate for someone having fun and making fun videos, you just turned on a fire hose of negativity
How the hell have you got over 10k subscribers to this channel ?

Like how you can critique others efforts of painting when you can back it up yourself is beyond me. Ridiculous, 0/10 wouldn’t hazard stripe again.

You have nothing better to do than to make fun of other people? Says a lot about you. 👎

She can paint them however she wants. 🤷
@@JohnZombi88 No one said she can't...
Yeah, not gonna sub to her channel.
