Some people are better at spotting generated art than others, but your thesis that humans can objectively tell is wrong. I wish your argument was presented better, because it seems many are confused into thinking you are stating with certainty that every piece of art questioned is generated, when you're pointing out that you can't tell, but suspect it. For what it's worth, when I've been tested on ability to recognize generated art by friends, I do fairly well.. and most of what you call attention to are hallmarks of human-made art in my experience. Some of the items you point out I would need to look closer at to feel comfortable with my determination, but I think a lot of what you call attention to are details that were ignored or fudged to make the art production faster, or are artifacts of an intent to make it unsettling. It's working as intended in that it feels wrong, but because of context, that feeling of wrongness is suspected of being AI when it likely isn't.

hi, i'm coming from red bobcat :3 it's been two years since the creation of generative ai and as a generic statement of where i am with it, i'm deeply sad that it can be used by the public so easily and so fast. this revulsion is cool to me because it doesn't matter how good a generative ai model can be trained and improve, i still have that revulsion. just to add something to the video that isn't just "yeaah, i'm with you!" is that in a section of the video you showed custom card designs with ai arts, i noticed this is common in the custom card community when somene wants to just have the vibe of the card printed with not just words but also colors and lines. obviously faster than finding the right piece (or from the right piece then create a card design on top of it) and so everyone in the community nods and moves on

If you spray the exterior paper with water and allow it to soak in for 5-10 minutes, you can peel it off quite successfully.

Whats amusing is that The Feral Painter has more than twice as many subscribers at 29.7k and 29k of them watched the video in question with 1.3k of them giving it a thumbs up. This knuckhead can't even get a third of his subscribers to watch his stuff and "likes" weakly in the double digits. It sort of gives me an even more messed up Alice in wonderland vibe more Grimdark, and twisted ha I hope more people will embrace the root for the good of hobby-kind since more and more people are going for other games these days at least on a decent scale 💪🏻

This is really great, the cannon looks amazing. My only criticism is that it sits very high on the wheels and would probably buckle the frame after a few shots. A lower slung cannon would look truly amazing. Nice work! You"ve got me wanting to find an old chess set and make a few if my own!

Absolutely love your content (and the chess cannon song lol) 😂 A handy tip I do, that might be of use, is for the bicarbonating and sand applying etc, I do it over an old empty Chinese takeaway tub, so much easier to put the left over back into their respective tubs 😃

Great idea to use a rook for the cannon! I'm using those travel chess pieces, and boards, for a tabletop roleplaying game that can fit in a mint tin. Super fun project, but i'm not a crafter so it can be quite challenging to make everything i want to make.
