Absolutely love your content (and the chess cannon song lol) 😂 A handy tip I do, that might be of use, is for the bicarbonating and sand applying etc, I do it over an old empty Chinese takeaway tub, so much easier to put the left over back into their respective tubs 😃
This is great! A very smart way of doing things tbh loving it like your last video. It sort of gives me an even more messed up Alice in wonderland vibe more Grimdark, and twisted ha I hope more people will embrace the root for the good of hobby-kind since more and more people are going for other games these days at least on a decent scale 💪🏻
Great idea to use a rook for the cannon! I'm using those travel chess pieces, and boards, for a tabletop roleplaying game that can fit in a mint tin. Super fun project, but i'm not a crafter so it can be quite challenging to make everything i want to make.
@@jhminiatures7867Seriously, I thought the last vid was pretty clever but carrying it on over to the artillery is another brilliant stroke of thinking outside the box. A great idea for a uniformed theme throughout the army. Who knows what you would do with a Connect 4 set.
This is really great, the cannon looks amazing. My only criticism is that it sits very high on the wheels and would probably buckle the frame after a few shots. A lower slung cannon would look truly amazing. Nice work! You"ve got me wanting to find an old chess set and make a few if my own!
Great Idea! And I love the tiny chess pieces, definitely using that as decorations for my knight helmets. Quick question, can you post a link for that finger guard you have? Cool little tool in case of razor slips
Thank you my friend 😁 it was a gift from my partner. I'm pretty sure she got it off wish, but if you search "thumb guard, metal" you should be able to find it.
CHESSMEN CHESSMEN CHESSMEN: The Return. Also with the world being as crazy and messed up as it can be at times, videos like this remind me that at least we aren't living in Turnip 28. I don't think I'd look good as a tuber.
You stole my idea in the discord didn't you? 😂 I asked about a chess themed army in the official discord last year, with a Toff who shouts out gibberish chess moves "Knight to B7", and the rest of the army has no idea what he's talking about, i just never got round to doing it. But whether you did or didn't, I'm just happy to see an idea come to life
Genuinely, I didn't see it 😝 I only properly started using discord in the last few months, at first to talk to fellow Heroclix collectors. But hey, great minds think alike! I'd like to see your take on chessmen 😁
@jhminiatures7867 well I had the chaff have pawn heads/helmets, cavalry have knight heads (some on their horses), and the colour scheme would be monochrome
Honestly? Ive had a lot of problems over the years using different pva glues, different basing grit, and it just starts to peel at the edges. I try roughing the bases, using controlled superglue to push down bits that set, even a layer of watered down pva over the top. Ultimately, I just started cutting out the middle man and it worked 🤣

Sounds great 😁 share them to the Reddit, discord and Facebook pages man!
dude why are you using superglue for basing? use pva it holds up pretty well!
