Teachers risk their lives serving the public and usually don’t get the respect given to police and firefighters.
What an incredibly sad world we live in that we now can compare teachers dangers to police officers.
She is traumatized. She doesn’t even want to look at the photos. I hope she’s able to go back to teaching. Kids need genuine people around them

Unfortunately Tim shooting teachers & other students is a major issue with this incident. If it only involved Zack,then this case would be different. However, I don’t condone fighting/guns in school.
Too me him shooting others shows he had anger issues
The fight was over, Tim chased him out of the room. He wouldn't have used a gun if he didn't BRING A GUN TO SCHOOL!!!
cause i had this teacher. ms. altman was the best english i ever had she was very nice and for something like this to happen to her is very life changing and in someways unfair.
NONE of these teachers are supposed to be breaking uo fights 🙄 that's why there's a panic button and officers on campus 😒

"Playing up the teachers trauma"....ya, she watched a fist fight almost turn into an execution. Don't get me wrong. Zack isn't a great human but he also didn't bring a gun to school and use it
Teach your kids forgiveness!!!!!! Teach your kids how to respect even when they’re angry!!!! Go through and role play what you should do , how you should talk, how you approach an awful situation. Parents need to step up and put morals, values, feelings for others back in their kids behavior. And show them the full trickling down effect of their actions show them how they’re going to be held accountable, and the consequences of all their actions show them how to be accountable when they’re alone. Above all teach them how to live to love another.

I can only imagine how this teacher feels the only thing she witness, was Zack betting the S- -T out of Tim-Tim.
And then "TimTim" who already had an illegally held handgun in his waistband pulled it out and shot indiscriminately into a crowd nit caring who he hit or killed AFTER the beating was already over. What Zack did was terrible but he didn't take a gun to a school zone and shoot "TimTim"
@@cmw8216 bullies are significantly worse than bully victims who then shoot up their schools. Bullies bully others who are different and often get away with it and live ok lives after. Bully victims, the severe ones live the rest of their lives with even worse mental health issues so i care very little for bullies .
Where was she at when the fight was going on?? Seems like on video there was nobody else in the picture when the fight was going on. And she she should have sent the other kid to the principal office immediately.

When a fight is going on, usually anyone in the fight will refuse to go anywhere.
Depending on the school's disciplinary model, many teachers are prohibited from intervening in fights unless they've received particular training. This was the policy in the school where I taught. It keeps the teachers safe and prevents the teacher from being liable in the instance they harm a student in trying to break up the fight. Calling for help and/or sending a student for help is the right move. Getting other kids out of the classroom too.

How do you propose she send a kid that is bold enough to knock on the door , late to class and immediately start to fight a kid in front of her with no regard for school rules, to the principals office? "Zack, please stop stomping Tims head and go to the office!"
*to be clear because my comment might be misleading.. the fight was over and Tim pulled a gun, THAT HE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL, the school that has 13 yos in it, and shot that gun indiscriminately, then chased him into the hallway and shot him again. I am in NO WAY defending his actions
they risk their lives every day? I commend your ability to see that teachers are heroes, but they don't swing on ropes they don't shoot lasers out of their eyes they are teachers!
It’s kinda insane that these school doesn’t have metal detectors I remember growing up and my elementary school had them n middle school and high-frequency school too I’m so confused about that sooo all school didn’t have them or only in certain areas and or states
every school in the city of Detroit has a metal detector particularly high schools and College campuses.
Nah!! All schools don't have metal detectors & they shouldn't. As children (we/kids nowadays) should not have to worry about being harmed physically, in a place we all deem as safe!! Sorry you had to be subjected to that type of control. That sucks.
The prosecutor asking the teacher crazy question. Why why why. She gonna make the lady go back to rehab. Prosecutor should not temper a victim. She dont even wanna look at the pics. that's crazy why the judge letting her do that its not right. It's not right. Certain question should be limited in a case like this. Then She sits the photos right infront the woman showing woman pics. I would politely said judge I cant take this the questions gonna me wanna leave
Because it’s evidence the same way that if it was Zach dead body it would have to be viewed. Hopefully both face consequences for the trauma they have caused

This teacher has not taught since the day of the shooting. She probably has PTSD. So sad!!
