    I've been using this mask for a few years now and love it. It's lightweight and comfortable. What I don't like are the medical equipment companies calling me all the time asking if we need new supplies. They're relentless! My equipment last longer than the period which my PPO will pay for replacements, though I still pay co-insurance. But, I'm going to try to run some warm water on my head strap to see if that will return it back to a tighter fit and avoid leaks. Of course these are the things DMEs don't want us to know! So, I appreciate such tips. Because there are several components to make this all work, DMEs just refer to it all as if it's one component, so they can bill more. Screw them! This is great info!

    Had to goto another video to figure out how to get the strap off. It's also cheaper to get said strap online than getting a whole new frame. Had issues with mind changing of the insurance company of who they were covering suppliers on. Wishing you all the best with your machines. * I did get one of these oxygen cpap cleaners off hsn or qvc a lot less than the big cleaning machines and it does work very well.

    It drives me crazy that the headgear kit sends all different sizes of nasal pillow instead of allowing me to choose 4 of my size - for the exorbitant price of over $100.

      Wish there was an easy forum where we could all just exchange pillows so, for example I could send you all the large pillows that I can’t use and you could send me all the stalls that you can’t use. We’d all save a lot of money that way!

    The vent is the reason I use this mask It's diffused and doesn't blow on my arm, or across the bed to my partner.
    What I don't like is the strap. It slips too much. If I pull the top up, the angle changes, and the barrel of the nose piece hits my upper lip... hate that feeling. The split strap doesn't stay apart. And sometimes it slips up or down, either ending up below my ears, or coming off over the top of my head.
    The pillows get soft much too soon and don't sit right, needing replacing about every 2 weeks. At least, that's my experience.
    I wish they could do a re-design of the straps, but I guess it's a patent thing and has to be a total redesign of the whole thing.

      Try going to Jo-Ann Fabrics and buying some elastic and Velcro stuff and make your own strap setup. However tedious and difficult this is, it will serve you well for the rest of your life when you get it dialed in.

      Me too. I never thought of my hair as slippery, but it is. I have to put it in a ponytail & pull it through the straps & i'm considering trying a clip... not an option for folks with short hair, sadly.

    I love my mask and so when It was warn out I ordered a new one. The only problem is that the straps are to tight for my head. It seems there is no way to adjust the size of the straps. I called cpap and they sent me a video but there is no information on how to adjust the strap. I'm a 6' 4"guy and need a larger strap!

    • @Behestify
      @Behestify 4 года назад

      Art Lindau as per the video separating the straps apart allows for a looser fit. I also found the strap tight when new but it did loosen after a period of use. When I place it on I also stretch it out 6-8 inches in front of me then replace in position. This seems to loosen the fit a bit.

      I purchased this mask from a different supplier to my usual one. I used this mask for almost 5 months without problems, I cleaned it regularly and wore it daily with my auto CPAP machine. I used it with the humidifier almost every day. Gradually I became aware that I was breathing through my mouth at night, waking feeling exhausted as though I hadn't slept despite going to bed earlier and earlier. I experienced stuffiness and breathlessness even after wearing the mask only a short time. I became afraid to go to bed and sleep. I felt as though I was unable to breathe even if I wore the mask for a short time. It seemed like the fine mesh filter was blocked somehow. In desperation I poked several larger holes in the mask on each side and the improvement was immediate but still not good enough. I returned to my old supplier and they recommended that I go back to the Swift FX mask with Gel pads and keep the other as a spare.

    I loved this mask when new but for the last 2 months I've been having dreadful problems with breathlessness, both waking up unable to breathe and trouble going to sleep. I wasn't sure whether it was the mask or machine. I've used auto CPAP for approx 10 years. For a couple of years I've used a Swift FX mask, which was my favourite. I liked the headgear of the Airfit P10,j so bought that last time. I use the humidifier a lot and wonder if this could be a part of the problem. Can anyone give me any ideas of what I can do?

    • @Leutchik
      @Leutchik 6 лет назад +3

      Maybe talk to the doctor who prescribed the machine and ask him if this could be due to the machine putting out less air pressure than what the machine was supposed to be set at. Just a thought.

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas  Год назад

      Hi Linda, There are many things, whether machine-related or home environment which may be causing this to occur. We'd recommend reaching out to your medical equipment supplier who can best directly assist you with this. It may also help to let them know if there may be anything at home (ie pets, children, bedside objects, etc) that could be hitting the start button or (if SmartStart is enabled) causing the machine to detect the mask is on. If the issue may be machine-related, they can send your device to us for a full evaluation and a repair or warranty replacement if necessary.

    I am on my third P10 Mask and love them when new. However the venting screen seems to close off, maybe the plastic mesh strands are expanding. Whatever the reason, it causes low O2 and higher CO2 levels in the body. This device has a short life span. Beware!

      +Jim name Yes third one for me. You cannot get this mask for under $99.00 ResMed has the price set and don't allow sellers to release it for less. Their CEO loves his 30 million dollar a year salary. Very corrupt. Made overseas for around 4.00 each.

    How the feck do I get it into the hose? The long hose?

    • @christinamarcet1780
      @christinamarcet1780 Год назад

      I just soak the hose in soapy water for a few minutes, then I pick up the two ends and hold them in the air facing up, and alternate bringing one end higher and the other end lower (like a bicycle spoke -- both ends are still facing up) which will force the soapy water through both ends all the way through the 6 feet hose. Then I rinse with clean water and do the same action to get all the soap. There are a few RUclips videos where people demonstrate this if it's hard to picture via my words. :) I do this in the kitchen sink.
      This video is only about cleaning the mask components, rather than the long hose.

Instructions to disassemble your mask can be found through our video here: bit.ly/3tnbhSE or follow these instructions: Hold the top of the mask tubing, squeeze, and pull the pillows away from the mask frame. Then, unhook the headgear from the stabilizer by pulling on the end cap to reveal the buttonhole and sliding the headgear off of the end of the stabilizer. It’s a matter of feel. If it feels too small, it’s too small if it feels too big it’s too big if it feels just right it’s just right. Put the mask on a mirror adjust it so the holes are in the middle of your nostrils. No one can tell you how it feels for your own sensation of that dynamic..
      Also, when you wear it if you sign up for the app that gives you feedback on the quality of your sleep, the quality of your sleep is best with one particular size versus other sizes then you have your answer .
      I always tell users to learn : no one will be able to tell you the right fit and it is a matter of trial and air, but you have to be paying attention configuration.
