I helped my mother when she worked as a jeweler at home and it's really tiring. Back pains, dry eyes, vision strain, all of that. Your hands are also artisan hands, coarse and stained even if you take really good care of them. Props to these artisans, it's really hard work!!
Also, their pieces are really beautiful, but I have mixed feelings about melting vintage jewelry. I'm not really a fan of jewelry made post-60s, but I shiver thinking a Victorian or Edwardian piece could have this fate.

When I was a kid I used to go visit a shop where jewelry is made. That was back when we visited and stayed in a family friend. They have a son who happens to work as a jewelry maker (he's good in art too!). I used to visit him in his work and watch him make jewelries. It was so good. Now I just realize and think how did I get inside the shop. Lol

If a celebrity or public figure is wearing and I don't want it. There I said it I've never bought anything in my life because I saw someone on TV had it. As a matter of fact I remember watching a documentary about fashion and this woman, she came from old money, talked about her to staying for celebrities in the fashion industry because she thought it made the clothes campy and it profit down a level of prestige that the old-fashioned houses used to have. And while I rolled my eyes at her I kind of understood what she was saying.

I have both a cat and a bird (green cheek conure) and let me tell you... they do not go well together. The cat is constantly trying to get the bird (thankfully he’s dumb as a rock and a failure as a hunter) and the bird is constantly flies to the cat to try to bite him (which he can’t do since the cat is very fluffy and Paco is a small bird with a small beak).
