      Glad to hear it! I've had some other viewers say they like longer videos, but they take so much more time and effort to put together, and I'm not sure if it's worth the effort unless there are just an absolute ton of interesting hands to show.

    A lot of times you don't run hot, breaking even is a win. Gives you some hands to study and see if there are any leaks.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад +1

      Reviewing my hands from every session has taught me a ton about my game over the last 7 months. The losing hands definitely teach me more though!

      @@HuggiePoker even winning hands you can look at your bet sizing. Might have missed value. Always spots to learn from. But yeah losing hands normally have some of the most glaring mistakes.

      I haven't played online poker since maybe the mid-late 2000's, but from what I hear, online poker is much harder than live in terms of potential profit to be had.

    Nice hero river call, seems like you lost close to the minimum for how the cards were dealt which is definitely something positive to look at!

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Thanks, man! Yeah, I could maybe have lost a little less in a couple spots, but...the cards were against me in the second half for sure. 😅

    I was just wondering today “When is another huggie vlog coming out?”

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад +1

      I received a bunch of negative comments recently, and it left me feeling a bit unmotivated to push the next episode out. I've actually turned off notifications across social media so I can allocate specific time during the day/week towards it when I'm ready to mentally digest it. Hopefully I'll get a second vlog out this week to make up for the missed week as well, depending on my availability!

      @@HuggiePoker I once looked at a comment on one of my vlogs while AT the poker table playing another session, and the person ripped me to shreds and it totally derailed the session I was trying to play. Smart that you’re gonna reserve time for handling social media and comments.
      Also, everyone has a fucking opinion about everything. A bunch of arm-chair quarterbacks. Keep it up!

      @@7CardFlushPoker Yeah, I hear you. I've certainly received a lot more friendly comments overall, and I really enjoy the feedback as a whole. I also don't mind constructive criticism at all, which I think is important for learning and growing as a player.

    Some days the goal is to lose the minimum. You happen to do better and cashed a small win. Great job!

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      I think there were some spots I could have lost less (like the AJ hand in particular), but the sentiment of your comment rings true regardless. Trying to minimize losses is the name of the game sometimes!

      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Thank you, Jr! I've heard people say that 1/2 in Texas is like 2/5 everywhere else. I'd like to try playing some more 2/5, but I usually get to the poker rooms before a 2/5 game has started, so I generally have been sticking to 1/2. I definitely plan to give it more opportunities though when I can!

    Just sub’d today. Are you typically buying in for $200 at $1/$2?

    • @HuggiePoker

      I usually buy in for either $200 or $300 depending on my energy level.

  • @gregsnyder2593
    @gregsnyder2593 2 года назад

    Just curious why you buy in for only 100bb to the table? I know I hate sitting down to a table where I’m 100bb deep and everyone else is 500-1000bb deep. Poker just becomes a shoving match based on position and range assumptions at that point.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      I'll buy in anywhere from 100-200 BB's, it really just comes down to my level of energy for the day. I'm at a stage of my life right now where there are too many other competing priorities that I'm only getting to play one preselected day per week, and if I'm feeling low-energy, it's TFB for me since I generally don't have the liberty to just go another day instead.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Also worth mentioning, this particular game is capped at 150 BB's.

      Having the patience to wait it out is challenging sometimes. Sometimes I’ll play complete rags as a bluff if I’m too card dead.
