The song ( not this mix) works as a collage of sound but it is where it started to go wrong for Duran Duran, ironically in view of the hyped anticipation of it in late 1984 and the most expensive video made at the time (£700,000). When you consider Wet Wet Wet recorded Wishing I Was Lucky ( to use one example) for £600, it is hard not to think the money on the video was rather high. Subsequent hits with the exception of the stunning Ordinary World did not do as well as they had in the early eighties. They peaked with The Reflex earlier in 1984 when they were one of the biggest bands on the planet. Serious from 1990 is a contender for their best song but it failed to dent the UK top 40, a travesty. Duran Duran fell victim to changing musical fashions.
@@JGG1701 I believe that music, whether composed, played or mixed, is a form of art as are painting, sculpture etc... and they are created to be shown and exhibited to the public. In turn, the public makes a criticism and it can be positive or negative. You may or may not like my DJ sets, it's fine for me in any case, in fact, negative criticism has always pushed me to improve my techniques and deepen my knowledge of the songs. Everything is fine as long as you don't offend the artist as a person. It seems to me that he is completely legitimate, are we in a democracy or a dictatorship? I expressed my personal opinion without offending the author of the remix. It's much simpler than it might seem, you like it and I don't. We are both right and we are both wrong. We understand each other I hope... 😉😉

ESTA MAL LA MEZCLA,, A CONTRATIEMPO
The worst remix I've ever heard of this masterpiece...the drum roll is too repetitive. It sucks... (IMHO)
How is it different to other mixes of the song and which ones do you consider to be better?
I dare you to do better.😊
@@JGG1701 I'm just a DJ and my role is to select the best music to match and make people dance... each to their own job...😉
@DJ-Lucygnolo
Edit:
So, with you being a D,J. , You can respect others that have the same goals as you do. Correct?
Understood.
Thank you. 😊
