      It's a pretty spot and used to be peaceful, for the most part. I haven't camped there in a few years because, like much of Montana, it has become overcrowded and tends to be a party spot.

    From Great Falls, but live in Maryland now. Came across this video and it brought me back to my childhood. My family camped a lot in the Neihart area as well as the Lincoln area. Montana camping is like nowhere else. Peaceful and serene. Great job on your video. I subscribed.

    What a beautiful spot to camp and fish....I'm in Ireland but grew up in San Francisco...was at Yellowstone Park during the huge fire....1988 I think...it was unreal....

      Yup, 1988. It was a huge year for fires in the West. Of course, Yellowstone got most of the attention. Thanks for stopping by.

    Very nice video. Great capture. Hello from North Idaho. We have a 2013 Blackstone Outdoors Manufacturing. We love it. Let's us get out early in the season and stay out later. There was a wind storm last labor day while we were at Sam Owen campground on Lake Pend Oreille. We decided to leave early after hearing the projected weather forecast. Good thing we did. It was a disaster area. Giant trees fell everywhere even blocking the exit road to the park. Folks were stuck. We went back and looked at the damage. The site we were in had huge trees fallen right where I rig was parked.

      Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed. Wind storms in wooded areas can be downright scary.

    `Wow! I lived in Southern Alberta for many years. We got the odd hail storm, but I can't remember ever witnessing anything that could bring down trees like that.

      It was an unusually brutal storm. I'm originally from the midwest, and it reminded me of the spring storms we would get there with the threat of tornados. Glad they don't happen very often. Thanks for watching!

    I enjoyed this entire video. Very relaxing.The sounds of nature you captured perfectly brought me to this beautiful, serene campsite. I'm glad u didn't reveal location. If i were local, I'd want it protected and appreciated too. Nicely done!

    Great video !! I respect and understand your reasoning for not disclosing your camp location, But like I explained to a property owner trying to sell me a parcel in seely lake ,mt that he lived in mt his whole life and don't want & like the people moving to the state. So I told him...I have been coming to mt for many years now & have the same beliefs & values you do why do you think my family wants to move to mt in the first place? then why are you or any local selling the property/house ?? Isn't that being hypocritical ?? Or your just putting a price over your so called beliefs ..with that my wife & I walked away, he called me a few times after that day & even lowered the asking price by 8 k..I told him I wasn't going to lower my values after taking to him on how he & other locals feel about me & my family with out even knowing us first before making a judgment...I like what you do & will continue to watch & support you/channel.

    What's the name of the campground?

    • @RuralMontanaLiving
      @RuralMontanaLiving  4 года назад +6

      This campground gets a lot of local pressure, but it is relatively unknown otherwise. To keep it that way, I'm respectfully not going to share where it is. Thanks for watching!

      Thankyou for not disclosing where this lake is.... I live in this area for over 40 years, and have lately seen the population influx increase dramatically. Sadly destroying our back country with no respect in keeping it clean.....
