Hi from Tasmania Australia I am 46 almost 47 years old and I grew up playing video games. I was so good that I would beat the boys and they didn't like it because I was a girl. Then when I had my child when I was 30 years old, when he was 3 years old and we went to Harvey Norman to get the first released DS. Encouraged my little boygames and now he is 16 almost 17 years old and I regret it. He's totally addicted and there's nothing I can say to him to change his mind about the dangers of video games. When he was younger who would play a game called halo and people couldn't believe he's age because he was so good. I am completely to blame for this as I always loved video games and encouraged. Please let's all pray for our children to break this addiction. 🙏

I barely even play games to because I work and cook after I finish my work and read my Bible KJV I can understand why people get addicted to games however at the end of the day it's the person fault no matter how you look at it. I have seen my friend before I got saved and after that me and my friends just drifted apart because overtime they take games to seriously and became insane with it and addictive to it it was ones a hobby but people took it to the next level and became addicted to it. They never told themselves to stop they play for hour's upon hour's. But you know what made it even worse when company's added game achieving points, microtransaction,DLC,battle Royale, gambling like "loot boxes" I can go on this is how people get more addictive to games like fortnight, battlefield unknown or whatever that game is called. Or much worse games like doom, Mortal Kombat,GTA,CoD,battlefield, halo, red dead redemption, for honor, perhaps devil my cry because of the name, or mmo games like wow, final Fantasy 14 I am just listing the most popular games that people love alot and are very addictive to. Not all games are addictive on less you have a weak mindset however I would avoid these games as far as possible trust me the people I knew were weak minded. I have experience it before so I understand how it is. Shot have ever seen a "perfectionist" completely brainwashed and addictive I could never do the things they do because they want to see who gets the best time score possible completely Petty and pathetic. I could on with more things that I know I study 📖 the word of God and read other books 📚 that I could never read before. Shot I even try to talk to my coworkers about Jesus Christ sometimes they don't want to heart it other time they ask me about God Jesus Christ. But I truly understand why people get addictive but you have to understand thier are people who never played games and they commit suicide, kill, murder, rape etc even before games came into existence and even after that still people commit sin. When I saw this video I said let me hear him out because most of the time he is right however I didn't expect he would show sonic getting rings however you can beat the game without even getting a single one just to let you know even Mario as well besides when I grow up in that time I didn't care of nabbing every single one I just past them but that just me. But to me the big issue was the adding of achievement points in the Xbox 360,playstation 3 and I don't know if the wii had it but ya people would go bat crazy and insane mode and go all out mad at you just so they can get that pop up message bip achievement points.

    • @hyperfusiongear9050
      @hyperfusiongear9050 3 года назад +1

@Yeetofleetothat's why thier certainly some people that take it to seriously from reality and fantasy unable to separate the two it's sad I ones knew someone that was very addictive to achievement points he just wanted to have like a full 100% for every game he has. However to me how I saw it he was very focus in his game well to focus. But I like said before thier are people out thier that never ones played games and they commit suicide, murder, kill, rape etc but when I hear some stupid media that says violent games changes a person and kills people that's not true but it does increase thier behavior when playing but that's just me.

    • @hyperfusiongear9050

@Yeetofleeto No, I have no interest in video games anymore, and it's sinful to play those things. Most of the time they are filled with violence and gore, and if not that, they are all made to be addictive. I don't need to add more sin ontop of the other sins I already struggle with. And why would I waste my time playing that garbage when I could be studying the Bible, or going outside and getting fresh air?

Tell me, what is ungodly about them? Is it the sexual themes, or violence, or the magic in them? Well let's see what's in the bible. Oh wait, there's violence, sexual themes and magic in the bible. Is it a sin to read that? No. So it's not a sin to read Harry potter, or play any sort of video game. What is a sin is if a video game tempts you to commit a sin, or if you love the games more than God. Games don't tempt me to be violent, so I play violent games, but I avoid sexual themes in games because I have fallen to lust many times.

Id like to see a more nuanced take on this. I dont disagree, but this subject goes pretty deep. This could have a crossover with gambling as well. One thing to note is that video games are much different today then they were decades back. Back then, a video game would actually end and you could beat it. Today, the most popular games don't have endings; its a constant cycle of rinse and repeat and suck up far more time then they used to. Addiction is far more prevalent in that space. I mean, Mario Bros. can be beaten in under 5 minutes. Thats probably half the time for an average match in Fortnite. I think the biggest thing to be aware of is (regardless of the content): Its a giant waste of time, which is our most precious resource. But if thats the case: this also goes for TV as video games are played on a screen. As a grown man, I generally dont have time to sit and play video games because they destroy productivity and distract from the main goal of life: thats the main issue. Heres the crux; a video game is just a digital game. Humans have always played games. I could twist this point and apply it to innocent board games like scrabble. If I play digital monopoly how is that different from playing real monopoly, especially if I am playing with my family/friends. What needs to be addressed is not so much video games as a concept, but TIME MANAGEMENT, awareness of addiction and being responsible. Could you be doing something better? Could you be being more productive for God? Lets not get into legalism in that sense that all video games are bad; its when the game is taking up large parts in your life is when its a real problem, teaching people how to always self examine and ask if this has become an idol. I quit a few games back in the day, WOW being one, because I saw how much time it was stealing from my life, with 0 benefit to me. Thats why I quit that, and I haven't touched a game like that since. To make a salient point to people and not sound accusatory, we need to guide people and young men especially away with love and practical understanding because these modern games are literally designed to target the dopamine centers linked to accomplishment.

This is a good topic of thoughtful discussion. The same was said when television was becoming prevalent in the earlier days; replete with mindless entertainment with few quality programs. In my youth, we were encouraged to read a real book as much as possible. It was also better to listen to real musicians play music rather than consume the synthesized wordless noise that became popular in recent years. I would like to add that much of the ill conceived health measures may not have been successful without modern the cell phone and other devices. One could consume a myriad of content as well as hidden messages every waking hour.

So what else am I supposed to do now after I've come home from work and had my dinner?? Sit there and stare at the wall until it's time for bed?.. 🤔
If they say watching TV is a sin, listening to music is a sin, and now video games?? Geeez...... What else am I allowed to do for fun that ISN'T a sin?? 🤔......... Write a book?? I'm not the writer type. Arts and crafts?? That's not my thing either.

Like where do you draw the line on what is a sin then? Besides show me in the bible where it says it's a sin. Lol. People go too far with this and that is a sin and it repels and turns people away from GOD and the faith which is actually a sin in itself. GOD bless.

@@MuchFruit Thank you. I say.......everything in moderation. As long as you don't take something to the point to where it's made you so addicted that it begins to effect your life negatively.
Anything in this life can be addicting DEPENDING on the individual. Even eating too much, over exercising, over working, over sleeping, over anything. That's why I would consider addiction, in it self, a sin......because then, you are now effecting yourself in a negative way.
So, if I play a video game once in a blue moon, when I have some spare time, just for fun......... would that make God, who by the way is PURE LOVE, send me to burn in hell for eternity because all of sudden I felt like playing the game of "Brothers" on Xbox today??
My own wife wouldn't send me to hell for playing a video game because she purely loves me. Would this mean that my wife's love for me is greater than God's love for me??? 🤔............ I honestly doubt that.

Several years ago I joined a ladies' Bible study at a new church (Christian).
One lady befriended me and invited me to join her family game night playing D&D.
I declined, but did a bit of research since I knew nothing about it.
She said this bonds their family.👀
It didn't take long to figure out that it's demonic.
I sent her some info on it and she vehemently defended it. So sad.
Demons walked right into church and joined the Bible study to recruit.
I quit that Bible study and just read the KJV with the Lord now.

The Bible never explicity condemns video games. That's just a fact. And to all those in the comments. I hope you'd do your do diligence in this area and do not allow your conscience to be bound in areas that God Himself has not bound.
Video games are not a sin, though like quite a few things, they CAN be through idolatry.
Video games are not a sin, but if you believe them to be and do it anyways, even though the thing itself is not a sin, the intention to sin is still there and is therefore a sin FOR YOU spesfically (Because you violate your conscience, however the consicence can be misinformed and thus must be shaped and corrected by the Word of God, please see Romans 14 and search for resources by Ligoneer Ministries on this topic of conscience for more info).

“Video games are made to cause you to be extremely focused on them and obsessed.” Ummm yes i suppose that’s what it’s supposed to do?…otherwise how are companies supposed to make money if they can’t capture the players attention? That’s like reading a book but it doesn’t grab attention of the reader it’s pointless if the attention grabbing details aren’t there. For example if the game Devil May Cry 5 had horrible gameplay, terrible story, character is glitching everywhere I would quit it within an hour and ask for a refund.
“Video games change your behavior” How so? In terms of anger, sadness, happiness? I’ve quitted video games for about 3 months straight because i had college to study for and had to work a full time job to pay off debt so there was no room for gaming and yet when the winter break came around and when I did have some time to play I honestly didn’t notice any difference in my pattern of behavior other than relaxed. So please elaborate.
“Just admit it you’re an addict” well…how can I admit that I’m an addict when I clearly have avoided video games when needed to in order to spend time on my studies and did it without any urges to jump back in? Do I disagree that video game addiction doesn’t exist? No I do genuinely understand that there are some kids and adults today with obsession over video games. I’m no psychologist but I’m pretty sure there’s a certain criteria you have to hit in order to start calling someone an addict and not everyone who touches a controller is instantly considered an addict.
“Do you wanna be an animal in a cage being experimented on” I don’t know being an animal in a cage is way more scary, terrifying, and abusive than having no cage and pretending to be a legendary devil hunter in my own home.
“Video Games can use coins, and other treasure to make it more addictive” I can honestly see that with some games to be fair such as gambling or some game like fortnite where costumes and skins are praised, and again as long as you’re playing games for a healthy and reasonable amount of time I don’t really see a problem with it.
“Oh but not you. You can’t be addicted because you’re somehow smarter than the computer programmers of Silicon Valley.” Well there’s definitely a bunch of devs that are way better than I am at coding (especially the ones at google), but do I have the skills like one? Well I’ve studied cybersecurity, penetration testing, Python, SQL, Java, and networking just to name a few.
“Leaders always had the desire to control people” definitely not wrong there.
“And if you get down to it Satan is the father of it” I don’t believe that satan’s real but that’s another topic for later.
“If you know that something is designed to make you addicted just get away from it.” Well that’s pretty much everything in existence such as Exercise, work, eating, hot showers, sports, tv’s etc. so by that logic we must now go off the grid completely and just sit around like brainless sacks because god help us if we touch a controller, exercise or god forbid get a job.

The Legend of Zelda games series where you need a sword to fight with. People think this is ok to impale their sworn enemy with a sword as well. The dragon uppercut in street fighter 2, from Ryu and Ken. This can lead to a broken jaw and this has happened on a few occasions as well. GTA has seen many cars being stolen for good in real life as well. Call of Duty has lead to people joining the military for very dark purposes. It is easy to pick up on such evil atrocities if you don’t sort out your own priorities with these video games. Not all fans of role playing games or fighting games etc. are evil or screwed up, but there are psychopaths out there who will use these things to bend them to their own sick will. Satan is very good at luring people in and then screwing them up. He is a liar and can lie to cause confusion.

I felt so good since I unistalled it but every now and then when I'm really bored I tried to install it after 2-3 years of not playing ( I don't even remember my password or login even tho I used to type it each day for like 6 years straight ) but it instantly make me get angry and curse to myself ( I don't curse in games in the chat more like I'm always upset and say the F word ). No other game than this one make me this angry , literally the 2nd game which people compare this one is Dota 2 and its basically the same game even more darker with literall demons in it but it does not make me angry , somehow that game which I grow up with only makes me angry out of all games. Been there, done that. In Wainoni, the suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand, to which we moved in 1973 from my home town of Kaiapoi, they had a hamburger bar called the Hi Spot, and as well as selling food, they had mechanical and video games there, where kids would get beaten up for coins - back then it cost ten or twenty cents to play games like Space Invaders (this was by the early eighties), and there was also the Dog House in Cathedral Square, which was even more dangerous. I wasted a bit of money there, but also time, especially more recently on those XBox-type games, which are indeed far more violent than earlier ones, and I spent hours - what a waste of time, and I know if I ever have kids, there will be no cell phones, computer or video games, but rather the King James Bible, and explaining why, so they understand, for God does not just leave us to guess - He shows us Why. These games are addictive, and sure, very clever people have spent a lot of effort writing code for these games, but they need to question themselves what they are really achieving in life - and this is the same for all addictive stuff. We have come a long way from the tennis game Pong and Puckman, to Tour of Duty and Alien Trilogy - some are educational, like history based ones, but if they want that, they could read a decent book - best of all, the King James Bible.

      Please read!
The Bible never tells us "no video games" or "video games are a sin". That's just a fact. They can be sin if...
      1. Participating in them would be unwise.
      Ephesians 5:15-17 NIV
Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
      2. They violate your conscience.
      Romans 14:23 NLT
But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.
***(Please see all of Romans 14 for a better understanding and realize that the conscience, or your convictions, can be incorrect and thus need to be in submission to God's Word, for example. If I believe stealing is RIGHT, which it isn't, my conscience which says stealing is right, needs to be shaped and corrected by God's Word which says stealing is WRONG!)
      3. They are an idol in your life.
      Galations 5:19-20 NIV
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
1 John 2:15 ESV (Part of the verse).
Do not love the world or the things in the world.
Another verse to consider is Proverbs 8:13 (NIV)
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
But really, if it doesn't fit within these catgoreties. I may be missing something, but I don't see why they would be a sin?
If you have time. I'd recommend you search "American Gospel Free Chapter" on RUclips and watch the video. It goes over the Gospel and though we as believers may think the Gospel is only for unbelievers to get saved, the Gospel is undoubtly for believers as well! To be reminded of it, to understand it more fully, to cherish it and so on are all such important things we as believers should be doing (at least I think).
      So please! Watch that Video!
      Thank you!

There is also a lot of black magic seen in video games like Devil May Cry as well, also demonic possession, Dante using the devil trigger. Same with Tekken video games, Jin Kazama uses the devil gene to empower himself with demons.

Subconsciously she will see where your at now and be able to connect with how you used to act.
Don’t say “You need to grow up”
Say “ With my maturity I turned from those wasteful things that took me away from reality, You will grow up too”

Anime is demonic indeed. There is much that is harmful and will be harmful if unsupervised. Anime is not just full of demon possessed people or monsters, but there is a lot of underage sex programming in these shows and movies as well. Anime is also promoting child pornography and Bryan has videos exposing pornography and child pornography as well as witchcraft on his videos on this RUclips channel. I could never let my children go near nasty stuff like anime, I used to be a fan of it myself. I could never allow a pedophile to even go within two meters of my kids. A few things..
1). Funny you should mention that games "ruin your eyes", Because the opposite happened to me. A number of years ago, I forget how many exactly... oh, yeah, in '98 I had my first eye exam because it was required for me to get my drivers' license when I was 18. I then went to the same doctor a good number of years later, and the doctor said that the left lens on my glasses was too strong, which means my eye had gotten _better_ since the last time I had been to the eye doctor (I noticed it even before he said that; the chart was far easier to read with my left eye than my right eye and I had an easier time than I remembered having the first time). The right eye was mostly unchanged. Why the left eye? I'm an avid computer user, and I do play games on the computer and many games have most of the UI/information/etc on the left side of the screen.
2). Many games can teach valuable skills and lessons. Most gamers I know are excellent at math and problem-solving skills, including myself. I can do math problems in my head while a lot of people my age who barely touched games struggle with them and need a calculator to do basic arithmetic, and the same is true with many of my gamer friends. It depends on what _kind_ of games you play, though. If you just play some random shoot em up, you're not going to learn math skills, nor problem skills. But games like Portal and Baba is You (which are rather good at teaching you problem-solving skills!) and some Role-Playing Games, especially Japanese ones, are good at teaching you math because you're constantly working with numbers in your head.
3). There are games that are dedicated to certain skillsets, such as flight simulator games, or even some of the better games where you drive vehicles, which teach you fine motor control of your hands and fingers, and also hand-to-eye coordination. City-Builder games (and similar) allow you to exercise your creativity, without needing to build things IRL (which can get expensive, and isn't always practical).
4). We have two "classes" of videogames: Indies and Triple-A. Triple-A is well known by most gamers to be exploitative in the way that you're talking about. Indie developers, however, are not like that. They are normal people who just want to have some fun, they make a game that others can enjoy, and they don't include the predatorial practices of trying to get people addicted. There are _definitely_ games out there that try to get you addicted and they aren't even subtle about it, especially the ones containing gambling (loot boxes). However, some random Joe at his house who makes a game, isn't trying to get people addicted. He just wants to provide some entertainment and express some artistic creativity. It's up to each person to determine which games are bad and which are okay.
5). There are some people who are either older, or in a wheelchair, etc who could really use some form of entertainment. I don't know about anybody else, but I sure wouldn't want to see such people watching TV; TV is pure filth these days, unless you can find some channel that plays old movies or something. The right kind of video games is a much cleaner solution, but again, care and caution needs to be exercised. I really don't think something tame like Tetris is really going to make people addicted to games, nor would I think some game where you're building a city or what-not would be harmful.
6). There are plenty of studies out there that show that older people who play video games have sharper minds than those who don't. Plenty of older people out there are barely able to talk and form thoughts, but yet those who played games, exercised their brain, and are much more mentally active. But again... it depends on what _kind_ of games. There are so many kinds of games these days. See, Bryan played games back during the old days and there wasn't much in the way of puzzle-solving or educational games back then. It's understandable he wouldn't know about those. Yes, there are bad games. I'm not saying elderly people should be playing Call of Duty or something... but there are logic games out there that get you to think. Baba is You is an excellent example, again.

@@heckinbasedandinkpilledoct7459 To be fair, I can't say I condone calling people stupid because you don't happen to agree with their argument. That said, however, Bryan freely admits that he stopped playing games quite awhile ago, and he references 8bit games and would indeed probably be unaware of some of the games of today. He's heard of a few, probably the bad ones, especially the violence and lewdness that some of these games have these days. And that's a fair point. However, he does what many people do -- see a few bad apples and then assume the entire crate of apples is similarly bad when that usually isn't how it actually is. It's an easy trap to fall for, to apply a generalization. We all do it from time to time, and it doesn't make anyone stupid. However, what is bad in Bryan's case, is that he's trying to be a minister and he's applying blanket generalized statements on things, applying shackles where none were meant (basically, him saying that all games are evil no matter what, he's basically adding a new thing to an ever-growing list of "no-nos" which is getting far too close to legalism which is the very thing God was trying to do away with, how Talmudic Judaism was in Christ's time with their endless rules upon rules that were made up by men, many of which He debunked and/or clarified).
I am not saying that Bryan is intentionally trying to mislead people, I believe that he has his heart in the right place, but legalism is such a tempting trap to fall for. Following God might sound easy, but yet it's not as easy as it sounds: you need to discern what is sin, and what is not, but yet you shouldn't place shackles on yourself that He never intended, either. Such shackles will sour your life and strip you of the joys the Bible says a Christian should have.
If you make your life so boring and miserable with countless rules and things you "must not do" in this effort to try and please God by staying away from all sins, ever, then you're not being a joyful Christian who is glowing in gladness. You're miserable and begrudgingly following Him because you're afraid of Him casting you into Hell, or judging you harshly at the Bema Seat, and this shows a lack of trust in His Payment for Your Sins, and a lack of trust itself is a sin.
I am not condoning willful sin, a Christian should always be trying to avoid things they know are sinful, but yet at the same time, us Christians were given many freedoms and liberties, but we are told day in and day out that there are all kinds of rules, that God is a stickler for detail and rules... He's really not. He's full of mercy, He's full of forgiveness, all He asks for is Repentance and an Honest Effort to do as He asks. Do that, and He _will_ forgive you. We must trust in His promises to us.

“As a Christian you can do anything and not lose your salvation”?.? Sure about that?
1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
(Paul had concerns of being Castaway like the refiners dross, good for nothing)
1 Corinthians 10: 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
    1 Corinthians 15: 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
This is not just Corinthians, I only use it as an example, I can show you this in every single book of the New Testament
If Ye keep in memory...If ......there are a lot of Ifs in Gods word , this is a conditional word like
    John 8: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
    If Ye continue?....
As a matter of fact John 8: 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Does not apply to anyone unless you keep the conditional “if” of. Verse 31 because 32 starts with an And, .....and the And is the condition of verse 31.
You can do whatever you like and not lose your salvation is bad advice Bryan because you open the door for some to become atheist homosexual witch’s and still believe they’re saved...don’t believe me look up Christian witches or gay Christians they exist and they are not entering into Gods kingdom in that condition....

      Jesus Is GOD Almighty Amen
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
      Alriiiiiiiighty then...
You say “if people start with the wrong foundation they will continue searching truth in a lie”
I say if people quote you as saying something you did not say...they lie.
Where or when did I say you can earn your salvation?...
      your words never mine
Who do I think Jesus Christ is?
I don’t think...I know he is God, the word made flesh, the LORD of Hosts, the alpha and omega the great I Am, my Redeemer, my Lord and my Saviour my beloved
What did he do on the cross? He took my place and gave me hope.
This is the new and better covenant..a covenant is a contract between God and man, God has and always will keep his part of the contract , if man does not then he makes the contract null and void.
Why did he say it is finished? He had completed his task in the flesh living a sinless life and taking upon himself the sin of mankind...his part in the new covenant with man, but if you do not believe, come, abide and follow him being born again and conforming to his image being transformed from a child of disobedience and darkness unto a child of obedience and light mans part in the new covenant with a God, then he died for those in vain, salvation is not automatic not all were, shall, or will be saved
Only those that come and abide..that is those that obey, observe, follow, stay, accept, stand by, comply with, keep to hold to, conform to, continue, endure, bear, suffer, persist last, act in accordance with, uphold, stick to, adhere to pay attention to agree and accept and remain shall be saved.
Do not dare go down the path of falsely claiming works salvation adding unto the finished work of Christ, these things believers do as evidence of their faith in Christ and what he has done. If you believe and abide in him there will be fruit you shall no them by their fruit.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
You should take your own advise
You quote 2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
      I recommend you keep reading
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
      17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Remember what you said about having the wrong foundation?
Well this is the sure foundation of God.
You quote Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
      Again I repeat
2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Do you name the name of Christ,.,Christian, then there’s your seal, depart from iniquity.
      You next quote Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
I agree but What does this mean perfected forever them that are sanctified?
Sanctified to be set apart to be purified to be holy...like
1 Thess 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
      4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
Or you may have heard this one it’s an old but a goody
“Be Ye holy for I am Holy”
Perfected only if your sanctified that is holy
      And on it goes
      You....John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Me....John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
The comforter the Holy Spirit cannot abide in an unclean house
I don’t know why you quote Romans 11:29 I agree... do not go back..... for without using the word repent everything I’ve said to you is about repentance, I as a soldier of Christ’s I fight for holiness and against evil and call others always to do the same without compromise.
Last but not least you quote
1 Corinthians 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Do you mean this for me?
If I be ignorant then let it be in the things of this world but as for God and his word then I pray let the whole counsel of God instruct and guide me with the leading of his Spirit and not the teaching of men and there selective out of context chosen scripture selection that they have no or little spiritual awareness of.
You said I should pray and ask for guidance that he listens to those that truly love him,
      I repeat Jesus words..
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
This all answered and said in peace and love, I may not speak with your gentle and flowery words but neither did Paul.
      2 Corinthians 11:6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge;
      Praise the Lord

Bryan read 1 Corinthians 6:12 and somehow understood that to mean you can do whatever and not lose your salvation, a verse taken out of context....
Read the first verses of the chapter before this verse it’s speaking about the law and believers going to the unjust to resolve issues, know you not the ungodly shall not inherit the earth and yet they go to them for resolution? This is not expedient it may be lawful under mans law but is not right under Gods law.
But if you take it to do with the verses after verse 12 then
your quote of Mathew 6:33 also has a direct connection with why this thread began,
As Mathew 6:33 is speaking about things you eat drink etc, so to is 1Cor 6:12 speaking in similar vain when taken into context here the apostle also brings up the theme of things eaten, see also 1 Corinthians 10:23..
but in no way and no how is this verse given for a Christian to have license or freedom to sin or do that which is evil...God forbid
Liberty is used not only to say yes to things but also to have the ability to say no, otherwise you forfeit freedom, liberty can be destroyed by its abuse.
“Unlawful things ruin thousands; lawful things used unlawfully, tens of thousands”
Let no man give you reason or excuse to sin for they are without excuse.
      Praise the Lord

      Jesus Is GOD Almighty
You say “thank you for your response”
Well I take it you agree with what I posted then because I don’t see you refuting anything.
      You quote
      Mathew 6:33 ?
Praise the Lord , I agree
and you do know this is speaking of what you shall eat drink and wear. So what this has to do with the above posts I know not.
But as for you telling me that “may Godly sorrow bring me repentance”, of which it already has, praise the Lord.
But pray tell what should I be now repenting of?
      Telling the truth?
That I should be like you and misquote people saying they said things which they obviously did not,
or not be diligent in my study and compare scripture with scripture,
that I should just believe the words of man to follow man and not God ,
      Me thinks not
Everything you posted I answered with the leading of Gods Spirit in truth,
Nothing has been taken out of context
nothing I have answered have you refuted yet you tell me to repent?
The Lord did not give us a spirit of confusion but you seem to be doing your best, for there is not much understanding in what you write, you throw in random verses and make absurd statements
Oh just so you know, when I say things are done in love, they are done in a love of the truth.
      Here’s some verses for you
Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
Isaiah 50: 4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10 Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
Oh I know this chapter is a prophetic reference to our Lord, but in this case these verses apply
Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
      I quote another saint.
“In Jesus’ counsel there is a price to be paid and an effort to be made.
Firstly, Jesus counsels that Laodecia buy from Him gold refined in the fire. The wraith of faith comes through the fiery test of faith.Testing experiences are essential for proving us and for producing faith.
Secondly, there is the white rainment that speaks of a holy walk without which there is no fellowship with God.
Thirdly, there is eye salve that speaks of clear sightedness, clarity of vision and seeing the consequences of life.
He is my Counsellor I have been tried in the fire and purified, what is that gold we buy of him?
Proverbs 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
His Gold is wisdom, His silver is understanding.
Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
Proverbs 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
      Praise the Lord

      Lol. Ha ha.
      You got a point.
Also, most board games you need two or more to participate to play and in person.

I’d say chess is definitely dangerous as I can say I got addicted at one point. It’s all you think about (openings and strategies) and the thought of losing to someone really hurts your pride. I’m so glad the Lord humbled me and made me see that it’s just a dumb game that someone outsmarted you in. Woo hoo lol. You win some you lose some.

Snakes and Ladders. That is a family game. People play for half an hour tops.
