Hi! Hope you're good, just to let you know, i was amazed with this monitor and this is just the first video i saw about it, but in the minute 12:05 you said "wait until trust wordy resellers like amazon" i checked Dough Spectrum website and at the monitor configuration page, in the bottom, they say "also available in amazon", im talking about their most cheap option monitor that they also say it is available, my question is, does that means that is save to buy this exact monitor im talking about from their website?
Why did such an ideal monitor in terms of display quality, specs, ports, and design with a GLOSSY option have to come from such a notoriously scummy company 😭 why hasnt a reputable company made something on par
They are NOT scetchy, they are complete scammers, thiefs. I was waiting for a year for my monitor to be shipped, after not getting it for that long, claimed for refund, now been waiting for half a year to be refunded. 1 and a half year and No monitor and No money back.
Feel bad for you man. Any update? I feel like if you want this monitor you need to buy it from another retailer, with their own warranty etc. That’s what I did, and it’s been great
I've been eying one of these from years but it's just so sketch. I am excited to see B&H will soon be stocking it though. Once I can get it from a retailer and not direct from them, I'll make the decision.
@@andy5434 I did! Came in like 2 days (i’m not far from NYC where it was shipped from). Ordered the glossy model with no stand, and am happy with the display
I have a first generation tablet from them. When I asked for a repair that was in warranty, they said they're a different company, i.e. they changed their name and their legal status changed too. That's one more reason why they changed their name: to get rid of their legal responsabilities from the past. I really liked the idea of products made with input from the users and it was a fine product at the end. But all the rest is simply unacceptable.
Hlo sir i have a big request to you regarding macbook air m1 plzzzz make a video on 3d rendering and blender and other performances test how capable is it plzzz . Thank you love from India
Hi! Thanks for the review mate! Could you explain how was your 2022 setup connected through the dock and the monitor to be able to switch with that easy. I wanna do something similar with a laptop and PC. Thanks!!
It says on Google that The Dough Spectrum ES07E3D OLED display has a typical brightness of 150 nits, a maximum one of 450 nits, and a peak HDR brightness of 1000 nits
It's actually 450 nits typical (non-HDR) brightness which is decent for monitors. Not super bright but not dim either. I personally never go much above 350-400 as it's too bright!
Would it make a difference if you bought this monitor from a 3rd party seller like B&H? like the refund/return policies and actually receiving the product.
You know it’s not good when literally, not a joke but literally the only positive reviews are from tech reviews, there’s 0 positive reviews from customers
i really wish companies like DELL, AOC and LG copied this design language for some of their gaming monitors, i'm tired of red lines of plastic and RGB on the back that i'll NEVER SEE..., idk why they keep making monitors with designs for teenagers.
They have returned my emails but they were just a generic messages. i ask them every 30 days where's my refund at but i know other buyers have been waiting a year or more for their refund. @@CreatedTech
Good luck and tell your lawyer. Im serious. I was burned by them once, but had no legal insurance back then... in 2017... never got a cent back, but got locked out of my account immediately.
I've connected windows and mac and it's clear 4k is not a perfect choice for mac, even basic webapps/apps like gmail or evenote looks better on windows
I tried ordering an 27" OLED display months ago and its been a mess since. I ordered a display, then a few weeks later they removed that model for a newer one with additional features. They could not give any time frame and looking back through their project map, it seems this is their current trap. Update a product and then push back the release going through the entire manufacturing process all over ago. I asked for a refund after a few months and still in the process of getting my money back; its been nearly three weeks and they have 'submitted the refund request' twice now. Just do your self a favor and wait until 2024 for ASUS QD OLED 4k display or see what other companies release in the next few months. Dough is just not to be trusted.
This monitor looks amazing but it's a shame that the company is filled with tons of controversies. And the fact they keep changing their name is super sketchy in itself.
99% of people just dont recieve their order. Like me. Ordered almost 2 years ago and nothing, They dont even respond to my e mails. They used to reply something like "very soon", now nothing. Thera are no controversies, it is just a big sad scam.
I always wanted a spectrum monitor cuz this is the cheap version of apple monitor but the reviews make me kinda scared to buy lol…i dont like most monitor with matte screen, thick frame, big ass logo and chunky
Stop making advertisement for that scam. I ordered the screen, it worked only a few weeks, then got problems, I passed so much time trying to get a reparation. When I got it, meaning that I sent back the screen with my own energy and money, they send it in the exact same package (I think that they didn't even touched it) and I had the same problem and the screen is unusable (700 bucks flushed in the toilet)
The stand is pretty thin, great for looks but not so good for cable management. You can use velcro zip ties to cable manage though, looks pretty good and neat.
Oh, great. I wish I'd watched this before placing my order for a 32" Spectrum Black earlier today... I put it on the credit card, so I should be able to cancel it easy enough.
You should be fine if it's on a credit card. Worst case scenario you can do a charge back if they refuse to refund you. I put an order in for the 27" OLED Black a few months ago (to review on this channel) and I paid an extra fee just so I could use my credit card and not my debit card...
This is just a horrible company, they did the same to me, asked for a refund, and would not give it to me, had to go thru my bank, and even then they made some false claims, thankfully my bank gave me my money back, but they never refunded me directly, stay away from this company, unless you can buy from another retail, and even then, think about support if something goes wrong, sad, since it looks like an amazing monitor.
i just buy a piece of glass for 20 euro and put it on my DELL U2720Q, it's little tricky to find mechanism how to fit it on display but effect is beautiful
Glossy display ain’t worth gambling for with a scummy company like them. We’re already getting a flat 4k qd-oled from ASUS and now we just need a better flat qd-mini led display from either Samsung or for Corsair to improve their’s. We need more brightness, better HDR functionality and better color space coverage than we need a glossy coating.

@@guilhermenunes8486 Yes, it's better to buy directly from Amazon because they have a really good return policy.
If you buy cheap, you pay twice.
Words to live by.

Yep. It ticks all the boxes except for the most important one lol.
yep
I'm still buying 😎

The tech specs on this monitor look great, and ill be getting it in just 2 days thanks to Best Buy, cant wait!
It’s either risk getting scammed or get a studio display 😅 why aren’t there any glossy screens
4:19 well, between a single great big monitor or two smaller less good monitors, I take the one everyday with no hesitation.
I prefer a single monitor too and I'm a developer. 1440p scaling has more than enough room for me

how did you set up using the same keyboard and mouse for dual computer setup?
I have been waiting for my Eve-V ever since Dec 2017, they still have my money.
How can you switch from source wile using the SAME keyboard and mouse? I mean the monitor has no KVM switch.. Can someone explain this?
Hi! Thanks for the review mate!
Could you explain how was your 2022 setup connected through the dock and the monitor to be able to switch with that easy. I wanna do something similar with a laptop and PC.
Thanks!!
The good news is now they sell through amazon and b&h which is good news for the consumers
Which cable do you use to connect display and the caldigit dock?
There is no glossy oled monitor at the market, that's what's spectrum oled only monitor I can consider.
My Alienware is a Glossy Oled but only 1440p I love it tho!
@Doctor0Who its the ALIENWARE 34 CURVED QD-OLED GAMING MONITOR - AW3423DWF the best 1k I have ever spent on my gaming setup!
What's the screen brightness though

Yes I recommend buying from reputed third party sellers like Amazon etc rather than directly from Dough.

1440p, like the monitor I had in 2010 ?

i canceled my order back in June of 2023 and have joined the "wait for your refund indefinitely or not at all club".
Ouch, any updates? Or have they just ignored you?

Great and all, too bad they charged me $1000 for one of their monitors, never shipped it, then refuse to issue a refund 1 year later.
this company is so sketchy
Your argument about selling the stand seperately is so stupid.
