I would like to see McCarthey start when he is ready to start. If it takes the whole year so be it. Sam Darnold is here to give him time to get ready.
Odds are he is ready to start game one this year.
I want to see JJ compete. If it takes a year to prove that he’s better than Sam so be it. I want Sam to do the same. Prove that he’s better than JJ. The best will leads us either way
10 million isn't huge but they paid it for a reason. Darnold will absolutely start. Koc always sticks to his formulary.

Penix got Washington there on himself passing McHandoff didn't get Michigan anywhere it was their running game thus the McHandoff title. 2 years before he's ready in my book if ever.
@@jamierask8527 He threw about 65% as many times as Penix IIRC. That Bowling Green game was so strange, but after that one Int is incredible.

Why do you feel the need to cut JJ down to build Penix up. You're the first person using the McHandoff title that I've heard. It's really childish. I could talk about what a shit game Penix had in the finals, but that's one stupid game. McCarthy came up huge whenever Michigan needed him to and his passing stats are amazing just not high volume. They both have very good NFL careers ahead of them.

A Cutler comp isn’t bad. Cutler had all the talent with none of the drive. McCarthy has a bunch of drive with the talent.

I'm a lifelong Michigan fan and I wasn't really impressed with JJ McCarthy. Blake Corum was the heart of the national championship team. McCarthy did make some clutch plays at times but I wasn't really impressed with his overall play and unless he improves tremendously I don't think he's going to do very good as a pro.
