The first time I saw any live band was PMJ in a renovated downtown speakeasy, and they were incredible. Jaw dropping sax and trombone solos, they had scat singing, beatboxing, tap dancing, all three at once. It still feels surreal thinking back.
I'm a metal head of 20+ yrs and Haley my far without question is my favorite vocalist male or female of any genre. Her voice is velvet for your ears I'd say orgasmic but Haley is above that
One fact that makes her performance here even more amazing is that this was all captured in one (the first) take and she was even sick during the filming of this (you know, back when "sick" didn't mean "quarantined")
You owe it to yourself to check out Post Modern Jukeboxes version of Dream on with Morgan James. Flawless performance and it’s my favorite that they’ve done so far.
Omfg I can’t believe you haven’t seen this?!?! Now you have to check out their other songs with her starting with Black Hole Sun and Seven Nation Army. They will blow your mind! Haley is a truly gifted singer and performer with a voice like no other
Agree. But those talent shows are all about who is most marketable, not who is the most talented. There are plenty of exceptionally talented performers who never made it past the first or second rounds. But Haley coming in second in American Idol was a HUGE mistake. She's amazingly talented and a captivating performer.
I love Radiohead, and I love Haley's voice. She's quite unique, to say the least. I only wonder what Thom thinks of this. And yeah, that tickles the gooch, alright...every single time.
She is an awesome singer.. and this is an outstanding performance,, when she goes into the "Running out" wailing part .. the whole thing is so impressive for a long time, and of course who wants to stop it.. shouldn't be done ! .. when she sings "running out again" and sings the word "again" .. you know there are very few people on the planet who could sing like that.
2 things about this reaction video. . . 1) Haley absolutely owned this song & then some, absolutely flawless ! 2) I like that you don't stop the video every 5 seconds like most do, thank you.
I hope he isn't afraid of clowns! :-D I saw Puddles a couple of years ago and I was the first person in the crowd he went after. He took my phone and recorded himself singing Unchained Melody before giving my phone to someone else and taking theirs.
As a metalhead since the age of 10, I only know pop songs by listening to Postmodern Jukebox covers of them. Haley is the first non-metal singer I fell in love with.
PMJ's version of Britney Spears song "Toxic" is also unbelievable. The band is on fire , the arrangement is stellar and, Melinda Doolittle's vocal creates an amazing environment that harkens back to the 40s. Loved the reaction and that cigar smelled so sweet. Stay safe.
Fun fact: This was done in one attempt, filmed the same day as their "European Tour" version of 'All About That Bass'. The band members thought it was a warm up session, and she comes out and nails this on the first go. That's why the players seam so relaxed and casual.
Haley and Morgan carry that channel imo. Besides that, there's a very special vid of her and her father singing a couple of songs with the dad on guitar. She's one hell of a talent.
DUDE!!! DUUUUUUUDE!! Haley. Is. Fucking. AmazIng!! You absolutely have to check out Haley with Puddles the Pity Party doing "Mad World" and Haley does a bad ASS "Seven Nation Army" with them. Puddles also does "Royals" with them!!
One of the most stunning performances I've ever seen, the original is one of my favorite songs of all time, but this is special. She is worth the listen, specially her and Morgan James duet of "dear prudence" or Hailey and Puddles " Mad World".
Excellent choice for a reaction, Haley Reinhart Is freaking amazing, some serious vocal skills... You should react to more of her stuff she has a lot going on with PMJ
My personal PMJ favorites (besides the typical ones): - Blurred Lines - What Is Love - Stacy's Mom - Wake Me Up - Barbie Girl - Mr. Blue Sky - Call Me Maybe
The cover they did of "seven nation army" and "all about the bass" are also awesome :) Well all their stuff is tbh such an amazing group of talented singers and musicians.
It's like bathing in warm whiskey and silk with the smoke hanging in the air!! Just wow! I don't think there's anything she can't sing. Fantastic reaction man!!! subbed
Have enjoyed this rotating group of performers for nearly a decade (Scott Bradley not only handles most of the rearrangements with PMJ but has done work on things like the some of the music for "Bioshock infinite"), and have founded some astonishingly talented people (Sarah Reich, Ariana Savalas who also happens to be the daughter of Telly "Kojjak, Who loves ya baby?" Savalas, Robyn Adele Anderson, Von Smith, Sara Niemietz, Aubrey Logan, Mario Jose, Spencer Day, Rayvon Thames, Hudson Thames, Tess Mohr & Morgan James) that I've come to love. Additionally, you might want to check out similar acts that have shared performers with PMJ like Puddles The Clown (yeah okay, it's a little strange, but that's it's charm plus he has a golden voice) and Scary Pockets (who do funk based covers). And hey, since you're in Texas, PMJ will be there around November this year, in Midland, Lubbock, Austin, Houston & Dallas, so if you're anywhere near those locations at that time, I'd suggest grabbing tickets (worth the performance, which sell out fast) and checking them out in person (bonus because it would top off a great holiday, vacation and/or date night too).
Great reaction. This was done in one take. They were on a day off in Zurich on a European tour and had already recorded All About that Bass and Seven Nation Army and Scott asked Haley if she was up to it. She didn't want to at first as she feared her voice was tired from all the singing. He promised they could do it in one take - and they did. Also, there is no auto tune or other refinements to her voice or the music. When you see her in concert, you hear the exact same thing. Check out the other two videos recorded that day "All About That Bass" and "Seven Nation Army". Then you go down the PMJ rabbit hole. It's awesome. Wait till you hear Morgan James since Aerosmith's Dream On. They also do Rhianna's Umbrella and Lady Gaga's Bad Romance among many many other songs.
I was hoping you would come across this music there awesome any musicians that put a smile on your face like this does are in the right profession in my book.
This was recorded on a day off during PMJ's first european tour. They had been performing it for a couple of weeks in concert. They had recorded other songs that day and Haley felt she was in need of vocal rest. Scott thought they could do it in one take so she agreed to attempt it.
Haley is a jazz queen. Since you like her, you would like Angelina Jorden singing Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" (B&W version). Intense performance by another jazz queen, truly memorable.
I fell in love with her voice as soon as I heard it I'm a classic rock guy, but she got me everything she does is just beautiful awesome I mean check it all out.
There's a reason this video has well over 100,000 views. She does several others that are mentioned below but also, Black Hole Sun as mentioned below and All About the Bass. She also does an acapella version of "Dear Prudence" (Beatles) along with Morgan James (another singer that works with PMJ).
Haley is a goddess you should 100% listen to more pmj songs she has sang on
Morgan James blew me away!
You have to do Haley and PMJ's version of Seven Nation Army. Seriously.
Was gonna say the same thing, she's incredible and that cover is so damn good!
Seriously.
And that dress she wears is AMAZING too :)
@@dianalog4760 Oh yeah. Full Jessica Rabbit vibes.
Just did. OMG!
Haley Reinhart is like a modern day Jessica Rabbit in the flesh. God I freaking love her!
That is so well said it’s not even funny! 👀
seriously, one of, if not, the best cover I've ever heard. I get goosebumps and teary eyed each team I hear this.
People who don't react in that way are suspicious!
One of the greatest female vocalists on the planet
And Morgan James is too.
The woman can SANG!! Easy on the eyes too. Wonderful talent.
Her voice is velvet for your ears I'd say orgasmic but Haley is above that
From what I understand, this was the first and only take. No rehearsal.
I’ve heard the same ma dude
And she was sick, too...
Damn straight. Morgan James' version is friggin amazing.
Yes Yes YES YES YES ..... please!
There needs to be a super 👍 or something bc this needs to happen that woman is a godess lol
@@stewiegriffin88 yes she is
Morgan is one of my favorites. It's a Man's world and Maps with PMJ are favorites of mine. And her cover of Prince' Call my name is INSANE!
Omfg I can’t believe you haven’t seen this?!?! Now you have to check out their other songs with her starting with Black Hole Sun and Seven Nation Army. They will blow your mind! Haley is a truly gifted singer and performer with a voice like no other
This young lady is a breath of fresh air.
Vocal chops like I haven't heard in a long time.
BRAVO!!!!!!
I liked her when she was on Idol. Always put her spin on the songs. Loved her House of the Rising Sun
Benny and the Jets was also incredible.
What is and should never be ! !
PMJ with Morgan James doing Dream on is a must listen for you!! 👌
oooh, didn't expect that on this channel ;o Can you also do Seven Nation Army (Haley) and Mad World (Haley + Puddles), both done with Jukebox
mad world is a must see
And while you're at it check out Puddles Pity Party by himself as well
Haley is the most underrated singer to come out of that shitshow American Idol.
Indeed.
Agree.
But those talent shows are all about who is most marketable, not who is the most talented.
There are plenty of exceptionally talented performers who never made it past the first or second rounds.
But Haley coming in second in American Idol was a HUGE mistake. She's amazingly talented and a captivating performer.
PMJ's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" (Cage the Elephant cover) done with Joey Cook is another must-hear.
Hailey is crazy talented. This is my all-time favorite PMJ video. I must have seen it at least a hundred times. Seven Nation Army is really good too.
Haley is a treasure for all humanity.
I love Radiohead, and I love Haley's voice. She's quite unique, to say the least. I only wonder what Thom thinks of this. And yeah, that tickles the gooch, alright...every single time.
You should listen to their version of Black Hole Sun.
And Seven Nation Army.
Black Hole sun is wayyy better than Seven Nation Army, deeper song, longer, more emotional and a huge tribute to Chris Cornell
PMJ are amazing all on their own, but Haley Reinhart is the one that stuck with me for years and years
Yeah Haley Reinhart is a Badass! Unique spin on this song.
I didn't know this song was on Ride the Lightning.
But for real, this girl's voice is so good for this
Bonus track
You have to play the album backwards to find it.
Lars is actually singing
@@dietaryselfdefensefoundry6657 well Lars couldnt play a ghost beat to save his life, so I know he’s not on drums
hahahahaha
2 things about this reaction video. . .
1) Haley absolutely owned this song & then some, absolutely flawless !
2) I like that you don't stop the video every 5 seconds like most do, thank you.
Yes! PMJ and Haley doing Seven Nation Army in a New Orleans jazz style. Even more face-destroying than this one. Haley is a gift.
I LOVE PMJ, everyone is good, but please... please please please, ANYTHING by Haley Reinhardt is AMAZING!!! Watch more of here please!
You have to listen to this group doing "dream on" absolutely epic
Now watch her and them along with two other ladies do "It's all about that bass"
The European Tour version. It was filmed the same day as this video (and a third I can't remember which).
Haley Reinhart gives me chill and goosebumps, she is phenomenal and disgustingly underrated.
PMJ, Hayley, Puddles Pity Party, doing Mad World. Perfect for our times. And an excellent rendition all around.
I love introducing people to this cover and watching their reactions. It's incredible.
This is INSANE!!!!! So glad you led me to this band as you have many many before! KEEP FEEDING ME GREATNESS LIKE THIS!
I found them early and every tune is pretty much quality, welcome to the awesome!
Oh you absolutely need to check out their covers of Mad World and their jazz remake of sweet child of mine
I hope he isn't afraid of clowns! :-D I saw Puddles a couple of years ago and I was the first person in the crowd he went after. He took my phone and recorded himself singing Unchained Melody before giving my phone to someone else and taking theirs.
100% mad world
If you have time PJM's version of Blackhole Sun ft. Haley Reinhart is amazing!
Also PMJs version of Maps ft. Morgan James is a must see!
I didn’t realize you hadn’t heard this. Awesome! Haley’s vocals are bananas on this.
Please, PLEASE go down the PMJ rabbithole. It's such a fantastic band, and I'd love to see you react to more.
Haley is hypnotically mesmerizing , she is goddess with these kind of songs !!
PMJ.....Maps Maroon 5 cover with Morgan James singing lead is fire 🔥
You really need to check out PMJ with Puddles the 7 foot clown.
So this!
"Royals"
Alex would lose his s*** over Puddles. And I definitely want to see that.
@@ronparsons8786 agreed
I've seen Puddles' show 8 times. Definitely an amazing performer.
Puddles with Haley doing Mad World is such a great vocal match....cute but strange visual match.
As a metalhead since the age of 10, I only know pop songs by listening to Postmodern Jukebox covers of them. Haley is the first non-metal singer I fell in love with.
Better put a ring on it!😆
PMJ's version of Britney Spears song "Toxic" is also unbelievable. The band is on fire , the arrangement is stellar and, Melinda Doolittle's vocal creates an amazing environment that harkens back to the 40s. Loved the reaction and that cigar smelled so sweet. Stay safe.
Haley’s voice is butter. I dunno how else to describe it. Been saying that since she tried out for American Idol with Oh Darling by The Beatles.
DEFINITELY check out Areosmith DREAM ON! on PMJ!
Fun fact: This was done in one attempt, filmed the same day as their "European Tour" version of 'All About That Bass'. The band members thought it was a warm up session, and she comes out and nails this on the first go. That's why the players seam so relaxed and casual.
"Dream on", mate. Their version is stunning.
Haley and Morgan carry that channel imo. Besides that, there's a very special vid of her and her father singing a couple of songs with the dad on guitar. She's one hell of a talent.

Haley is AMAZING, you should check out seven nation army, and all about that bass, she sings on those as well

"All about that bass"

PMJ is a serious rabbit hole - so have fun ^*^ and I LOVE your reaction to her singing - perfect
Love the way she stunned you into silence

My personal PMJ favorites (besides the typical ones):
- Blurred Lines
- What Is Love
- Stacy's Mom
- Wake Me Up
- Barbie Girl

this is an incredibly good reaction and eye-opening analysis of "Radiohead" and the mentality of the postmodern jukebox
Great reaction. This was done in one take. Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden) by Post Modern Jukebox is the best soooooo far, and sang by Haley Reinhart as well. Goosebumps guaranteed 😎👍
Ohh yesss, they're amazing!!! I'm happy you reacted to them
Stacy's Mom, that cover is pure gold!
Classy, divine, amazing.
Haley Reinhart IS this song! She's fantastic & Anything she does!
I was hoping you would come across this music there awesome any musicians that put a smile on your face like this does are in the right profession in my book.
This version of the song makes me happy hahaha
Absolutely beautiful! Her voice was perfect for it. I am so listening to this over and over again
Her cover of Black Hole Sun also with Post Modern Jukebox blows me away every time.
Haley did that in one take, my man. They did Dream On, which is awesome. There's some great stuff.
I remember seeing Haley on American Idol originally. She's so damn good.
This will blow your mind; They did that in one take without a rehearsal. The band was just responding to what ever Haley was doing.
This was recorded on a day off during PMJ's first european tour. They had been performing it for a couple of weeks in concert. They had recorded other songs that day and Haley felt she was in need of vocal rest. Scott thought they could do it in one take so she agreed to attempt it.
Hahahahahaha! “Does anyone out there not like this? If so, FU!” Perfect comedic timing! 🤣🤣🤣 Great reaction! 🥰
I’ve seen them in concert twice, they are amazing!!!
"That really tickles the gooch!" Omg im rolling 😂😂
PMJ - Take Me to Church is amazing too
Haley is a jazz queen. Since you like her, you would like Angelina Jorden singing Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" (B&W version). Intense performance by another jazz queen, truly memorable.
Sweet child of mine!! Love these guys! Bad Romance is actually done in the 20's style.
I fell in love with her voice as soon as I heard it I'm a classic rock guy, but she got me everything she does is just beautiful awesome I mean check it all out.
My absolute favorite song on RUclips!!! So glad you reacted Alex !!! Loved your reaction the cigar was the best 👏👏👏
With PMJ starting to tour again I think it should be noted that both Haley and Morgan have left the building 😭

I'm so happy that you finally know about them! You're gonna have a ton of fun listening to their songs
PMJ are pretty epic. Their whole catalog is amazing.
OMG Yes you need to do more of these as quite a few Alternative songs are re-worked into the Swing / Vintage Style!
React to her rendition of Seven Nation Army with PMJ.
So glad you are expanding to something new! Love PMJ! They are amazing.
" Does anyone here not like this?? " That got me hahahahaha
Please do not elaborate on 'hahahahaha'! 😂
Phenomenal!! You should 100% check out their collaborations on Black Hole Sun and also Seven Nation Army. Superb!!
The song, the stache, the cigar... ya boi DRIPPIN' with swagger!
