  • EPISODE 29
In this episode we cover a few topics that are all major components of the build.
First i get the saloon sole levelled to match the galley creating a larger usable floor space.
Then after a couple of coats of concrete bilge paint, it's time to make a basic template for the stainless steel water tanks so i can get it sent to the manufacturers.
Now i've collected the oak boards for the capping rails, i can get on with the task of making the templates ready to mark out on the oak in the best position to follow the grain as possible.
It is now time to make a start on the cockpit floor framework and marking out and fitting the dividing bulkhead between the cockpit locker and engine room.
There has also been a few conversations with a couple of different companies that are helping with designing supplying the components to power the electrical systems for the boat!
    Very Exciting!!!

Get yourself some chalk or a felt tip marker pen for that initial over-sized roughing out. Mark to the template and leave the line when you cut. No more running around with a pencil spaced off the template. Oh, and cut off those over-length bolts holding the bulwark boards to the stanchions before you gash your shin open on one.
