Potent Robe + Snowburst Ring + Winter’s Clutches + Boots of Stormy Clamour + Necklace of Elemental Augmentation + dual-wield Markoheshkir and the Staff of Mourning Frost and a simple Ray of Frost becomes truly deadly!
@@JasonDunna I believe I have optimized this build to its greatest extent, if you'd like to hear. It involves dual wielding. 1 (tempest) cleric / 11 draconic bloodline sorcerer Coldbrim Hat - adds Frost, which counts as a condition Cloak of displacement - self-explanatory Potent Robe - doubles my charisma bonus to damage when used with drac. sorc. 6 Gloves of Belligerent Skies: Adds reverb whenever I do lightning, thunder, or radiant. Boots of Stormy Clamour: Reverb on status effect infliction. Procs on ray of frost's slow effect, encrusted with frost, and reverb from gloves. For amulet, I have two choices: Necklace of Elemental Augmentation, for TRIPLING my charisma damage modifier - or Spineshudder Amulet, for even more Reverb + prone. Rings are an obvious choice: Callous Glow Ging: to deal guaranteed radiant to illuminated enemies Coruscation Ring, to inflict Radiating Orb whenever I deal spell damage to illuminated enemies. This also counts as a status effect to proc Reverb. I dual wield Mourning Frost and the Spellsparkler (Markoheshkir would be better, I don't have it yet) for Chilled (procs reverberation itself) and guaranteed lightning charges, which ALSO proc reverberation from gloves. Normal procedure looks like: - Cast Daylight on self at beginning of day to always illuminate enemies - Drink Bloodlust elixir - Precast Haste - Enter fight, twinspell ray of frost for chilled + reverb + encrusted - Quicken create water to freeze the Chilled enemies - If one dies, use Bloodlust's free action tocast cone of cold / ice storm for near guaranteed prone / freeze on all enemies inside AOE, if not killing them outright. In total, I'm consistently outputting 40-70 damage per cast with ray of frost, inflicting 5-8 turns of reverberation with every hit on an enemy, and can reliably control an entire battlefield in one turn. This build is absolutely insane and I haven't seen anything quite like it online - the closest thing I've seen is yours, so I'm sharing it with you.
@@incanusgris8134thanks for sharing, this build is insane. Though it's not as explosive as water-lightening sorcerer/tempest build, but it's strong, consistent and doesn't need to long rest frequently.
Will you please make a barbarian/monk who throws the ice block. Exactly how much strength does it take to lift the ice block? Does barbarian bear ability, make it easier to lift the ice block; are there any potions or gear that make it easier to lift the ice block? Can you electrify the block for lighting damage? Can you poison the ice block for poisoning? Can you oil on the ice block and use fire to blow it up?
I think 1 Wizard (maybe even 2 for the sub class) opens up this character a huge amount. With the headband of intellect you get 4/5 spells that can be swapped out at will. That and of course the ability to scribe any scroll is really game changing for a Sorc. I like this the more I think about it, sculpt spell is pretty clutch here.
You’ll lose out on level 6 spells from sorcerer, what would you add from the wizard? Chain lightning won’t hit your team and cone of cold is pretty easy to avoid hitting your team as well. Just curious your thoughts!
@@JasonDunna conjure elemental jumps to mind, divination sub class would also be nice. In general I like the utility of the swappable wiz slots. Misty step is nice one to swap in and out as well as haste here instead of fixed into a Sorc level. The water elemental fits the theme as well. Oh and some ritual spells too, why not
@@ecbrown6151 conjure elemental and globe of invulnerability are nice non-INT scaling spells. I picked misty step and haste in this build and they’re so useful I’d always want them prepared! One level wizard dip with the circlet of intelligence is great though, just means you have to give up create water and heavy armor, or give up level 6 spells and sorcerery points. Depends what you find more useful!
@@JasonDunna it’s all full casters though so you can scribe wall of ice and freezing sphere for that level 6 spell, swap as needed. Sorc 10 cleric 1 wiz 1 gets a ton of options. I do love me some theory crafting PS you gained a sub, fun vids
@@ecbrown6151 Lots of options by adding in Wizard, the water myrmidon can even set up water on people for your cold spells! Thanks for the subscription! If you have any build ideas / requests just let me know!
at around 9:30 Do you mean you can cast cone of cold and it will freeze any blood on the ground, and then you use a fire spell to melt it into water? P.S. its armor of per sis tence. regardless awesome video. i was thinking of doing a sorc as my main on a tactician run. i just beat the game on balanced last night
Yeah come of cold will turn blood to icy surface! There’s a lot of ice shenanigans you can do in this game. I highly recommend opening with create water because it won’t aggro anyone! Yeah I butchered the pronunciation sometimes it’s tricky having my brain running for 20 minutes in these videos 😂 It’s proof I’m not illithid!!
Alert is always a great one! +5 to initiative is so huge, and preventing surprise can let you take out enemies so your other companions can get attacks in
Alert until you get mourning frost and another weapon like the cold snap dagger or the markoheshkir the do dual weapon wielding. That's what I did. I used Ketherics shield before that for the extra spell slot and before that I had used all the lightning gear for a storm sorc. I switched over to cold draconic sorc once I got further in the game. It makes it much easier on your spell slots if you can do more damage with a cantrip like Ray of frost. The middle game I was running out of spell slots super quickly. Once you get the gear (robe/necklace) that ups your cantrips damage then it's easier to switch to cold sorc and do way bigger numbers. Even with the careful spell meta magic I kept messing my teammates up with the water/lightning set up so it just worked better for me to switch to cold.
Friends non-negotiable for the face of the party? 😂 Are you aware how many Honour-Mode runs must have ended because somebody ticked off an otherwise harmless NPC by using Friends?

This is a fantastic build thanks for making this video. Cold damage is so good in this game
It really is! This build goes so hard. Can completely shut down the encounter on turn one
Uh, I like it. Its something different from all this Lightning Builds.
I used withers to get a hireling Uraume with this build to go along with my main character who’s sukuna.

Doesn't changing to cleric mess up the primary stat the spells use?
Only for spells that you take as a cleric which is just create water (doesn’t use a stat to cast)

Snow burst ring and ring of protection, and the amulet of greater health or spellcrux amulet
