i love to think that one day this will turn into a welding channel where she just makes intricate pieces of armor all day long from real metal and has her own entire forge and everything.
I love this channel so much because it takes the "why shouldn't I wear socks with sandals" vibe, makes it fantasy, and morphs it into "Hey, why shouldn't I make a fully functioning set of armor complete with accessories and then wear it in a public setting?". I wish I had this much confidence because this is absolutely awesome.
If you get bumps in your worbla, they're air bubbles. While it's still warm, you can pop them with a pin and gently smooth them out. Or you can heat bits up in small sections for larger projects. Hope this helps for anyone crafting with worbla. 😊
I have yet to try crafting with worbla, but I suspect my first project will go much more smoothly (pun intended) thanks to your comment. Thank you for sharing this information. 😊
I saw a meme recently that said "you can't make your own day good, but you CAN make everyone else's day chaotic" Your armor looks will definitely bring an amount of chaos to others!
You said the bracer looked like a pop tart and then I noticed how much the rest of the pieces resemble gingerbread (the white parts being icing), and I couldn't stop thinking about like, Hansel and Gretel have to fight the witch so they make armor out of her house. Also, the hair extensions do be looking real cool. 🗡⚔
🗡 so cool, would definitely love to have some things like the more casual combinations. Would be great to see casual armour become a thing, i remember seeing someone add metal to a jacket, it was a nice touch
Loved the entire look. I have an idea that was given to me by a clerk at a convenience store. "neo-celtic" I was wearing my moresca cloak and a poets shirt with a pair of jeans and a belt pouch at the time and she said she loved the whole neo-celtic look, and thought more people should do it. maybe an idea for a future video along this theme?
Nailed it, amazing. I especially adore the chain mail skirt and the arm braces. I am delighted at the return of the outfit styling ! Also, Pit Fighter Vi mentionned, makes my sad broken Arcane fanheart happy.🗡
Free replacement to poster board: cereal boxes, cracker boxes, any food box of that nice crafting thickness. I have a stack hanging out on top my fridge for all my crafting needs.
@tstymctst Well, I ended up staying up into the AM hours binging Suits with my mom bc we're two peas in a pod, but I slept like a baby after that, so... cheers? XD Sorry for the late reply btw, yt didn't notify me 💀 hope sleep found you too, friend :)
Some things that came to my mind while watching this video and might be helpful to someone who wants to make an armour: - I once talked to a guy who made a roman legionary armour for a historic festival. He told that he took an entire winter to make his chainmail. Those rings he used were a bit smaller than my pinkie's nail. So yes, it takes a loooot of time. - making more ancient inspired armour pieces like shin guards could be made of leather or use a soccer shin guards as a base. - though more expensive in material (and tools, paints etc.) I think using leather would be a more comfortable and longer lasting option for doing fashionable looking armour. - for that chainmail skirt, maybe it would be a good idea to wrap the belt‐chain in leather or a thick linen tape so it's 1) more comfortable and 2) lasts longer
⚔ these were the only sword emoji's I could get from my laptop mi'lady, thank you for blessing the lowly peasantry with your presence this humble day... I have no idea what possessed me to type like that, but i'm sticking with it. the armour looks great!
10:41 Hey small tip as someone who loves to make props for cosplays. Plastidip spray not only makes an even base but it helps fill holes and othe small gaps to help seal and protect things! I used it for some Shadow the hedgehog shoes and they've worked wonderfully
These are so cool, together and in different combinations. Trying to think what version I could make that I'd actually wear. Armor as decoration is just so fun.
Congrats on this new project ! I don't know how you find time and energy to be that productive but I'm here for it ! I love the idea of incorporating cosplay/medieval stuff in casual outfits ! It's so interesting and I like the outfits you've created with it !
7:21 Medical shears! Works good on fabric, probably perfect for this situations too. Pretty cheap and likely every pharmacy has em. Do recommend for safety 👍
Youre the definition of trust the process, the more chaotic the process is the more mind blowingly incedible the finished result ends up. you ate those outfits uppp
Chainmail Butcher's Aprons are a great source of fine chain that is already in sheets. It becomes more about linking instead of sewing, but it looks amazing!
Really hope this trend will continue, I love it. I am wearing armour on a pretty regular basis. In two ways: whilst cosplaying as a Mandalorian. And as a motorcycle rider. Both get hot really quickly when just standing around. The bike armour is fine as long as the iron steed is moving. With the Mandalorian variety I have to remind myself often to hydrate enough. Otherwise, I would just faint. Using the bathroom is a hassle, because I am female. Also, the pieces have to be very precisely tailored to your measurements and you have to know how real armour works. I recomment Dr. Tobias Capwell's lectures if you seriously want to get a grasp of it - i.e. study it. It is really fascinating and fun.
I just finished watching some Larp videos a few days ago and have become obsessed with that and anything to do with art or crafting. This came at the perfect time to fuel the obsession lol. Seriously, this looked amazing!
21:39 I love the casual looks! That's so great! I am in love with this! I would not be able to pull it off but it's amazing and you look incredible and fierce and gorgeous and I'm really excited for you
Your transitions during the fit test were slick. You go Glen Coco! The last two outfits (pants + button up) are my favorite. Without the jacket, it looks like something a fantasy Librarian would wear. With the jacket, it's giving Sephiroth in the best way.
🗡️ oooo i really want to make my own now. The past couple years that ive watched you my taste has slowly started embracing fantasy nonsense and ive finally started working it into my wardrobe. It is time
This is such a vibe. I have none of the materials needed but I really would like chains and chain mail just everywhere now. New hobbies and fashion items for the new year. Huzzah! 🗡
Always love seeing more casual (or not so casual but we don't care anymore as we have to deal with living so why not be fun and whimsical) armor!!! 🗡️ Going to have to start learning to make chainmail soon myself now!
Watching PricklyAlpaca videos just reminds me that it would be a TERRIBLE idea for me to pick up crafting hobbies like this. Not because I’d be bad at them, but because my room would absolutely overflow with _stuff_ and I would have no place to sleep. And I would definitely wear said stuff exactly once before relegating it to my “I should wear this again but I inevitably won’t” collection. It’s already happening with my existing hobbies of knitting/sewing. :( So I content myself with watching hehehe. 🗡️🗡️🗡️
I love all the outfits! That’s honestly what I was waiting for. To see how you could casually wear all the different pieces. Again, I’ve said this before you remind me so much of my daughter and her friends who are probably in your age range of 26. Love your channel keep up the good work.❤
I love the skirt so much! Those wrist armor thingys (v technical term) took me back to the early 00's when goths and some emos wore those all the time, the black leather/pleather ones with spikes. Gosh i remember it causing "such fear" in people
I've also been thinking about making some form of armor recently. I'm glad all of us got the same idea at once and I'm definitely going to use this video as inspiration 🗡️
eek omg new video! ilysm!! i have to go to bed tho lowkey so ill watch it in the morning… but honestly so excited! your videos are always super entertaining and fun and i love watching them!!
I was skeptical that any of this could be considered "casual armor" when I saw it all on at the end, but those outfits you put together with them actually pulled off the idea. I think you succeeded!
🗡️ I love everything about this video! Your last chainmail vid inspired me to make a chainmail necklace for my sister in laws wedding gift, she loved it! Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful work with us ❤
This looks sooooo cool! Maybe you could make the wrist armour using those large cuff bracelets (you know the ones I’m referring to?) and add spikes to them.
I dont know how to add a sword emoji. But i did want to say "WOW!" I especially loved the magical girl wardrobe segment at the end. Very cool video and products!
we love the armor ladies 🥹🙏🏼🗡️ been craving plate armor & chainmail so bad. i think chappell roan’s was made from leather painted to look like metal. def a goal to craft something like that !!

I love how Zendaya and Chappell Roan have inspired us to shop for our milk while looking like we're on the way to defend Gondor.
Look.
Sometimes
You just need
Some milk
And
Some armor.
😆
What else are we to do? Gondor calls for aid!
@@annaabney1420 Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!
You look like a medieval Sailor Moon and I'm totally here for it !
You look amazing and I love the armor and chainmail !
I was looking for this comment ❤ 100%😮😊
So that... needs to happen entirely. Kira, can I be sailor mars? 🗡
I was just going to say the same thing! Awesome look!
i love to think that one day this will turn into a welding channel where she just makes intricate pieces of armor all day long from real metal and has her own entire forge and everything.

This is the best and funniest threat I have ever heard, thank you for the smack talk I can say to ppl I don’t want to talk to🙏🏻
And just like that, there's wine up my nose. Thanks, I needed that laugh 😂😂

Girl! Watching your chain mail journey has taken me from, "I'm not really into chain mail," to "OMG I have to get some chain mail!"
Yes, yes, good. Give in to the dark side

That sounds like an awesome idea!
Gingerbread house armor sounds so cool!
I can't imagine how fast you are at this, a project like this would take me 6 months in bits and pieces
Omg yes, Chapell SLAYED every single one of these three outfits she wore omg. And you nailed the armor look lets gooo.
That's an understatement ❤❤❤
i often wished for armor when I worked retail Black Friday sales. spiked elbow pads would be my first attempt.

I can confirm that is a term that applies to me.
For me, it’s giving Alice on her way to slay the jabberwock
PricklyAlpaca in prickly armour!!!!
🗡🐀 sword with a bonus rat. The outfits all look amazing, the spikes at the end of the chainmail skirt look incredible!!!

The 'sword' emoji she uses is labeled as a knife, for some reason.
I found it as a "dagger."

I stole the sword of someone else in the comment 🗡 but here it is!
I love seeing you living the medieval dream we all have! Thank you !!! :D

Your hair for the reveal looks like my Tav’s hair in my first Baldur’s Gate 3 run!
LOL... Casual armor is literally what all clothing is! LOL I love this video!
I love all of these. I love how you are like "I'm going to make casual armor" and then you make SO MANY COOL THINGS IN ONE VIDEO 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖⚔

Every time I watch one of your videos, I realize I need to learn how to make chainmail like now :D love this!
Nailed the armor and some of those casual looks! You are my inspiration for wearing actually fashionable and interesting things out into the world!
The armor with the flowy shirt and pants was my favorite. But every look was fantastic. Living for the medieval Sailor Moon vibes of your reveal look
I was already obsessed with Roan’s outfit but now I HAVE to try and make my own casual armor omgggggg this is gorgeous you did so well

Love love love the casual looks. gotta add casual armor to my diy project wishlist! Thank you for the inspiration, it all looks amazing!
The hair extensions with the armor look divine ✨️
Omg yesss more armour for casual outfits PLEASE it looks sooo goooood actually
The skirt came out really good. I like the chains on the sides.
Beautiful and epic! And honestly such a good idea to have all the pieces as options to be worn on their own 🗡️
🗡I love all the looks! The weathering really did the trick. Good job! I hope you're feeling better.
🗡🗡🗡
my crow brain is like: SHINY.
My chainmailing hobbyist husband was intrigued by the skirt and epaulets.

🗡 Looks GORGEOUS! As well as those hair extentions, those make the look so effective!
those transtitions when you were showing the warbla pieces (8:36) went so hard istg
Ugh that reveal look is MAJESTIC
This looks sooooo cool! Maybe you could make the wrist armour using those large cuff bracelets (you know the ones I’m referring to?) and add spikes to them.
Omg I love the armor and the looks so much, the braids are *chef's kiss* as well. Super cool and inspiring video!!! 🗡
Well done and enjoyed the styling possibilities at the end. Super helpful!!
Great...now I have to make casual armor for myself, like I don't have enough projects on my plate... but I want to look as amazing as you do!
Oh this makes me want to get back into my abandoned fantasy corset projects so bad! It turned out awesome! 🗡
It’s giving medieval sailor moon at the end and I love that
