    Nice Mark. I don't know why Tamiya had not done this themselves 👍👌💪

    You should make a video showing the parts that you used to adapt the wheels to the Blackfoot axles.

    Very cool looking and handles those larger Clod wheels excellently!

      Thanks. I'm waiting on an adjustable motor mount to come in so I can gear it down some to compensate for the larger tires.

    The company should make a limited edition Blackfoot like this it will probably sell pretty good.

      I was thinking the same thing while putting this together. I mean it is what a is, a 2wd monster truck, but it's cool building it up and trying to make it work.

    How has the axle shafts held up over the year?
    Do you have the dawgbone shafts or the dawgbone/CVD's?

    Hi there. That’s seriously bad ass 😲. You need to put some bump stops on your shocks you know like the lunch box has to stop the suspension going all the way down and hitting the wheels.

      I forgot to mention it but if you want more toque have you tried the Tamiya super stock bz they have like 500g/cm i have one of the type RR in mine that only produces 225g/cm and it does Wheely off the throttle. With those big wheels you might also need a Mip diff thats if you don’t already have one.👍

    How were you able to do this this truck looks real nice with those bigger tires tires does it wear the battery out faster is El faster and did you have to put a better servo in there for Turning the truck please comment back and let me know thank you for this video this video the truck looks real nice I oh nice I like the height of it

    I hope you put a more powerful motor and if it pull those tires around and you think it performs better than with the original tires?

    • @videobymark
      @videobymark  3 года назад

      I put a sport tuned motor in it powered with a 2S lipo on the included Tamiya ESC. This was with the stock pinion, I have a 7t pinion to try in it but Im waiting for the adjustable motor mount to install it. With the stock pinion the gearing is too tall with the Clod tires and it doesn't take long for the ESC to go into thermal protection, the re-gear should help this.
      Im not looking for crazy speed or power with this, it is just a Blackfoot, I just want to make it drivable with the Clodbuster tires.

    Oh and I bet you would need a servo upgrade to turn those things.

    • @videobymark
      @videobymark  3 года назад

      The servo I have in it turns the wheels with no problems. I did have to put a heavier duty servo saver in it. The stock servo saver was way too weak for the Clodbuster tires.

    How did you adapt the the wheels for the front and back? I wouldn't mind doing this to my Blackfoot. Thank you

      GPM DT3010F-BK Aluminum Front Wheel Hex Adapter for the fronts along with some homemade spacers and for the rear 12mm Hex Hub Extension 20mm Offset Wheel Spacers Adapters. It really needs a gear reduction, I just got a smaller pinion and adjustable motor mount Im going to try out.
