Montvale fire department Working House fire 7/23/12

K so I herd over my scanner Woodcliff Lake and Park Ridge have each an engine respond to #2 Windsor RD. for a house fire. So I rode my bike all the way up there and met my dad. They evacuated the building when fire was coming through the roof. I met up with Homer218 and we both got some good shots. They had about I think 10 or 9 towns there. I was there with a Westwood jacket and a radio off of rescue 17. We were there for about 4 and a half hours.

One of my best friends grew up in that house. Alot of childhood memories went with it. I'll never forget this day. I still live across the street and sat with the owners as we watched the home they kept so beautiful destroyed. I've never felt so helpless.

That house was renovated into the "Italian villa" by my great-grandparents, Frank and Vitina Bellafiore. The family lived there from the early 20's to about 1970. I never got to go inside. Sad.

Orangeburg, NY. 11-2000 I think. You can see the 11 on the chief's SUV tailing the engine, as Department 11 is Orangeburg.
