    I never really thought about the history of fitness tracking devices before! This is really interesting. I had no idea there were ways to track the composition of things like sweat and urine. We've certainly come a long way from only counting steps.
    Personally, one of things that has helped motivate me is playing Pikmin Bloom. Combining in-game goals and rewards with step counting is very effective. Plus, it's easier to just turn it on and put it in your pocket, so you can be present in the moment. Games like Pokémon Go are too attention-seeking, in my opinion. It's harder to just go on a walk and be in nature when you're supposed to engage with the game every 5 seconds in PoGo. Pikmin Bloom is much less demanding and calm.

    off topic but i have the same sweater jacket. Great choice. Very comfortable
