Happy Mask Monday! Interesting info on butterflies in this collab. I try to plant some of the flowers that attract butterflies in my garden each year because I just think butterflies are so beautiful.

I go to a park that has a butterfly area that has flowers that attracts all kinds of butterflies and its so beautiful to just sit there and watch all of them especially when they land on me. I love Monarch butterflies. We only get them in the Summer (and early fall) around here (NorthEast US). Growing up we kept milkweeds next to our house. As a child I loved spotting the Monarch caterpillar and chrysalis on the plants. My mom still has milkweed plants. I don't have much yard at my condo but you are right I should plant some milkweed and other wild flowers to help the pollinators. 🦋🧡🦋
I’ve visited the monarch forest near Pismo Beach. It was breathtaking. Binoculars really help so you can observe them from a distance. I have planted native flowers in my backyard as a haven for butterflies. Thanks for the great information. ❤

My area is a monarch city so we have a visitor center with beautiful butterflies and flowers in a caged area. they eventually release them and get new ones year round😊

Happy mask monday! I love the butterfly mask. I didnt know that cali had tons of butterflies. The fact that santa Barbara has tons of monarchs is pretty cool. Im surprised your mask stayed on the whole time. ❤
Hey Theresa. Love that butterfly mask from Mary Catherine. They are so pretty. Love that you all are giving info on butterflies. They are so pretty. We even planted specific plants and flowers for the Monarchs. We have several here in FL. Have had at least one do it's cristalist (sp?) and come out of it. They do most of their eating and breeding here...lol. We also have a bottlebrush tree that they love. So do the bees. It is always humming with wings. Thankfully. So sorry that they are having a hard time in CA right now. That's so sad. I hate that you are having so many wildfires. It's just horrible!
Loved the fun facts. What a cool place to live. We have the monarch look alike here in Florida. 🦋 Not sure if we have actual monarchs. Nice to hear they are helping their habitat

You have the same mask on as Mary had on this morning as well, and Earline's mask was a bit different, but so very cute as well. I wonder what Christine's mask is going to look like? I have lots of lovely flowers. They have all been coming up in my little outside garden, and yes it does have lots of different kinds of butterflies in there some days. Hey Teresa! 👋 We have milkweed growing wild here and I refuse to let my husband cut them down. They naturally grow here. We're nowhere near a coastal area. It's just going to stay wild & free! For the other butterflies I also refuse to get rid of our dandelions. My younger grandkids love ❤️ blowing the dandelions, too. To me, that's way more important than the "look" of our lawn. All our pollinators are so welcome here. I'm not entering, it's probably too late anyway. I love your headband btw. ❤️ Tfs and I'll see you again in a second 🌈 🌻 🤗😘🥰
