Awesome! I’m glad you liked it. Part 2 on Sunday at 3pm. We get the moose on the next video. Thanks bro! God bless y’all as well. How the weather over there?
Thanks! My wife put this 3 part series together. I tried but I couldn’t bring myself to cut most of the river footage out, but if it was left in, the raw video would be 2.5 hours long. Hope everything goes smooth with this premiere setup. If the live chat works I’ll try this setup on a lot of my uploads.
Thanks! We got a lot of footage on this hunt. I’m glad it turned out so well. My wife edited this 3 part series, she did an awesome job. One day I’d like to be able to film and edit my life for a living, that would be awesome. God bless
amazing what a wonderful talented faimly you have and came from when you pulled out the birchbark for a moose call i had fond memories of my dad he used birchbark aswell for his moose call.im pleasantly on my way to part 2.much Respect
Patrick you make great video's. That reminded me of hunting the Tanana River in my 18 foot boat, back in the 1980's, man I miss those days. But as an old guy, I don't miss shoveling snow and I can harvest 5 whitetail deer and the season is 30 days long. Greetings and good health to you from Southwest Virginia.
Thank you sir. I’ve gill net fished in high school in the early 2000’s for dog salmon for 4 fall seasons. One muddy river but there were definitely moose around. I’ll make sure to get more river adventures on video this summer. Oh man what type and HP were you running on that 18’?
@@enigmaticgwichin1630 It was a semi-v with a 25 Johnson with a prop. I had a friend who had sled dogs and we fished with a gill net under the ice on the Tanana. We caught dog salmon and silver salmon.
Oh yeah. 125 miles one way to where we shot the moose. But by the end of the trip we went over 300 miles because we ended up driving a ways back before we decided to go all the way out. Burned a lot of gas but totally worth it, we handed out meat to most of the village. Thanks for watching👍
Oh yeah beautiful country in my backyard. Part 2 is uploading now and will drop tomorrow at 3pm Alaska time. The weather turns a bit in the next one but it turns out great
Beautiful out there. Did you modify your flat bottom boat to cover you in case of rain and cold wind. I see those boats mostly in videos of the north. How much gold you get in a year? Where is this? I been to Whitehorse a few times, Minto Yukon and also a couple times to Norman Wells NWT. Was I close?
Oh yeah amazing place I get to live in. When I bought the boat from a friend it came with the canopy. There is a place in the next city that can fabricate the canopy for these allweld boats. I don’t get much gold. Most pans spit out just a few colors. We’re on the Chandalar River. My village is called Venetie, Alaska. So not to far from your guess. Most likely similar terrain. Thanks for watching
Wow, looks like you guys had some great weather! Looking forward to part two. Have you been over to Ambler on the Kobuk? That is where my friends live.
Yeah the weather was amazing the first couple days. Sunday at 3pm part 2 will drop. No I’ve never been to Ambler it’s around 300 miles west of my village. What were the years you lived up here?
@@enigmaticgwichin1630 Oh, I didn't live there, just went up and hung out in the hills with my friends, Scott and Becky J. Went up there 3 times in 2000, 2004, 2009 then we did a float trip together in Kodiak on the Karluk River. Need to get back up there. Last trip was as a packer with my buddy from Wasilla on his sheep hunt in 2017. I lived in Kodiak in 1977 and 78.
We climbed around 1300 feet in elevation. It’s crazy the temperature difference. The red color on the trees was from a camp fire. At the end of the second night we camped with a couple friends
Appreciate it sir. Just asking but would you watch this video with no music and background noise? I’ve thought about dropping some videos with no music, but there is no consistency in sounds from background talking to loud sounds and outboard/atv/snowmachine sounds. Thanks for watching and yeah, let me know if that’s something you might like. Have a good one
@@enigmaticgwichin1630 I love the natural sounds of the hunt. Everything but music. I would appreciate it more if there was no music. I like your talking and narration. It's perfect. Just no music. Takes away from the vibe. Thank you for asking btw. I just subscribed
Embrace the beauty that surrounds you, indeed. Look forward to Pt. 2.
Thank you sir! Next video Sunday 3pm Alaska time
Great video. What a sky!
Thank you sir. We sure love our countryside and open skies here.
