My one and only incapacitated younger brother was killed 6 years ago. His death was a shock to all of us, and I thought many times of dying with him. I would have given my life in exchange for his. This song is heartbreaking to me, as I contemplate the song with " take his" instead of " take my". The last lines were the hardest to take, literally, and no matter the day or season, tears would overflow, to think how he, a gentle soul was manhandled... Lord, take his breath that sang Your praise...
Beautiful. We will never know how much Jesus gave up for us until He brings us to heaven. Let us surrender all of ourselves to God daily, for we never know not which day shall be our last, and from moment to moment so that we may have strength and power to live for Him who died for us
