Anthony ONeal 💯
Anthony ONeal tell Damarea congratulations on the baby. What I learned from my daughter going to college is to have his friends and family give either money or Bonds to his baby as gifts from birth. This way if his baby wants to attend college, he/she can go without going into debt.
For Connor’s question, I will work every single day because I love what I do. I’m a Cosmetologist. I’m married but my kids are adults. 😩😩😩😩😩 My husband will be alright. I bet we would pay this house off a lot faster.
@@arleneaugustahair8393 I 👀 you! Get that hustle up! Technically, if you worked no days off with triple salary, you could take the next two years off 💪😎
💯
When you invite people to your house, please don't think or refer to it as a "cheap meal". In other countries, when you extend hospitality to break bread with someone in your home, that's an expression of covenant. They are special to you. And the friendship can be expressed in special ways. Loving the program, Anthony! Keep 'em coming!
Know Better TV - Know Better - And Do Better that sounds awesome!
When you have debt you don't have options, you have obligations. Preach!
AO invite Graham Stephan to The Table!
Yep yep yep... every time they said Cheap I flinched a little lol
"I'M NOT CHEAP I'M JUST WISE"
Lol!!!!
I love Dave’s and Chris Hogan’s show, but it’s cool to listen to someone closer to my age that believes in the same principles. Keep up the good work! You’re changing the culture!
Blake Bethel thanks fam!!! I love Dave & Hogan show as well. lol
Me and my friends (entire church) have “fellowships”
Meaning we get together and all pitch in on food. The host cooks the main dish/meat and the invites bring sides, desserts, and drinks etc. You bring what you can afford. It dissolves issues with financial differences. And everyone enjoys the same meal. We take turns hosting. You host when you can afford to. Because we spend so much time sharing our spaces with each other we appreciate when others have a come up. We all enjoy that increase at some point.
Jessica Durant yo! I love this. I need to be apart of this circle. Lol
Anthony ONeal well come on then! You bring the pineapple Fanta this time.
Never, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever loan anybody money. Including family and friends.
Agree! You can gift it if you feel so led but not loan it!
If you lend money, it becomes a burden/debt. I agree with @Shara Skeete, gift it if you really want to and can help. But please, when you give it, cut all strings to it.
Sad but true
I’m okay hanging out with friends who are more financially stable than I am...it’s motivating and it pushes me to step up my game, but not in a self conscious way about my current position in life.
One thing I've learned about friendship: don't keep all your eggs in one basket. It's better to have several lighter friendships than one best friend. You can't count on anybody all the time. If one friendship ends--as most do--you'll need the support of other people.
Yes, money can ruin a friendship especially when there is entitlement. It can also ruin a friendship when people don't understand that you have financial goals, responsibilities, etc... Awesome show. God bless!
Raised my daughter on Dave Ramsey. She’s 22 and she’s been investing for 2 years.
Monique Baskett awesome
People are for a time. Some are for a short time some are much longer. Then you learn your real friends can be counted on one hand.
I love it. The black history month conversations too. Y'all great.
EXCELLENT discussion. Love the candidness, I don't have people in my villages that I can't be honest with. Most of my friends/families are married and operating on two incomes. I am a professional, nicely compensated single mom of one and had to sacrifice to get to where I am today BUT since I can be honest with my folks, I let them know, if you wait me to go on this or that trip out of the country, give me at least 6 months notice and I am there! No shame and no shade.
"When you're in debt you don't have options, you have obligations."👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I like the new show! I’d really think it would be great to have different guests as much as possible and tailor the show to their expertise/background with the overall theme of finances. But you guys could do one about the transition from graduating to real life how to choose right college. Transition from single to married.
I agree with the idea it’s circumstances and priorities rather than income that changes a friendship. My husband and I married quite young and all our other friends are still single. With that, our priorities changed. Now we have a household to run and fund whereas they’re still single and still living at home, and can spend a greater amount of their paycheck on fun rather than necessities. I’m so incredibly thankful that our friendships are so genuine that they respect that our lives changed and our goals regarding our money are different than theirs right now. One of our friends is getting married next month and I think he’ll find that his priorities regarding his money will change too.
Love this forreal forreal. Great work you guys. Shaped > Defined. Affordable > Cheap.
The recent content with the panels and now with George/Damarea have been fantastic! Really enjoying these conversations and learning from you all! Thank you! Keep it up!
100 🙌🏽 yes money CAN ruin a friendship. I lend a friend some money first time, at that time she was my ride to work and we both work at the same job. I always gave gas money that was a must. But, I didn't get it Why she was asking me for money, when her parents pay All her bills, she also live with them as well. Than, she ask the second time, I didn't gave noooo money, she was mad and told me she couldn't bring me to work any more. I said, Okay, no problem. Friendship was over.
That happened to me also but months later she came crawling back apologizing and paid me back. She's going to miss your gas money. Hold your ground!
@@mcarthurspark8636 Thanks. I learned also don't let anybody, family members to use you up like ATM machine. You lucky that your friend gave you that money back. Me, nop, I get zeros.
My new favorite show from Dave Ramsey Inc. !! Keep it up
I worked for Section 8 in Detroit and from experience I can tell you the communities on the program DO NOT KNOW THIS INFORMATION.
We should do free public speech + q&a outreach at the project houses !! You should take this on the road to section 8 centers and urban inner cities
An ex-friend asked me to borrow $15k to pay off student loans. After refusing, she ended the friendship of over 10 years.
I am sorry that happened. You did not need that freind at all.
Who asks for these INSANE amounts??? You ain't no bank! She wasn't a friend, she was looking for a bank teller.
@@Nepthu lol.. I guess so.
You dodged a bullet anyways. She probably would have accepted the money and claim that you gave it to her as a gift and dodged any attempts to contact her.
@@akikiya6409 you are right! Also, its funny how she asked for an amount right under the gift tax bracket so she wouldn't claimed it as income.
YES MORE VIDEOS like this please!!!! I love the money talk, the realness, the different perspectives and the Godliness!!! LOVE IT!
Nicole Duque thanks Nicole!
I loved this episode.... When G said "when you're in debt you don't have options, you have obligations" 👀😮🙌 I FELT THAT! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lol
Money can absolutely ruin a friendship. Even if you don’t write you’re friends off after they can’t repay the money you lend them and you don’t hold it against them sometimes they will feel embarrassed and will avoid you because they’re ashamed.
That’s why you don’t lend money. If you have the capacity, give it as a gift. Anthony said once - give it. Don’t left them say they’ll pay you back. Tell them shush and it’s a gift. If they ever want to give it back, let them turn up a random day with it in full. But if you let them say they’ll return it, then he’d have expectations.
Love the idea of not saying it’s ok and letting you’re feelings matter. When people ask me that I often say “thanks. That’s really good information. I need to mull over that and I’ll come back to you.”
LOVE THIS AO!!! Please make more on topics like this!
I’m really enjoying these conversations, especially the black history month panel! It would be great if you could drop your guests social media and where we can find them at from now on! 💯
Nessaa Nurtures I can do that!!
AO you are the best on making it fun saving money & debt free thing I love it. You are a great example for us and keep up the good work Love the Black history talk too
The vibes from this are wonderful! Lots of gems being dropped! Love it! Keep up the great work AO! 💯
💯 Loving the new show. I had it on in the background while I worked in the kitchen. It was a fun and light show but still deep. I especially liked the segment about books your guests are reading. Keep up the excellent work, brother.✊🏾
I really love the panel discussions. Please
continue these videos because you have a natural knack for this!
Love this new format and style of raw conversation! Would love to hear more about mindset regarding money. Whether it's abundance, scarcity, etc.
This is great. I also loved the Black History Month (as a ethnical Norwegian in Norway :-D).
I would love to see more of these videos, a deep conversation between smart people with different opinions. There's been a Hollywood table talk, where they invite producers, actors, actresses, directors, writers etc. To have something similar, only about personal finance, with people from different situations (young, older, students (both high school and university), different religions, different jobs, etc) and ask their opinions on these difficult questions that you've been asking.
You could change the life of those sitting by the table and us watching.
This was so awesome and refreshing to watch. Please continue the show. It is needed!
When you have debts you don't have options, you have obligations. POWERFUL

Awesome interview/conversation.
Yes patience! Something that I work on everyday.
He's definitely right about busting your budget when going out if you do not have the money.
That was good what George says when you have debt you have obligations not options, I'm going to hold on to that one!!0
"When you have debt you don't have options, you have obligations."
Woo!
