I really wanted DP in A, but re-listening to Hang again it's just so good.. Definitely have nostalgia for Plaidinum but I like to show love to the new stuff if the band is still kicking.
Let's Talk about feelings is one of the best rock albums let alone punk, or pop punk albums, ever made.. it's literally flawless beginning to end, and it has a general feeling/sound continuity throughout the whole album literally from the first to the last song, and stood the tests of time
Blaze edges it out slightly for me, but I agree it is a masterpiece. Some incredible dueling guitar riffs on there and not a lot of bands can touch Joey's melodies.
Lagwagon is my all time favorite punk bands. Listened to all their albums hundreds of times and seen them live 9 times. Started listening to them when Plaidinum was out right before Feelings came out. Here’s my list: S: Feelings and Blaze A: Trashed Plaidinum and Leftovers B: Hoss Railer Hang C: Duh Resolve D: Older Brother Hoss would be S tier but I actually don’t like the recording. I actually think it’s one of the worst sounding Lagwagon albums despite the great songs. I like Leftovers a lot. Bring on the Dancing Horses is a great song, though not very punk. Wind in your sail, Brodie, Feedbag and more. Not a fan of Resolve even though it is a tribute album, just never got into it. Older brother is their worst IMO. I actually liked Railer better than Hang. Didn’t realize it got that much hate. Definitely not my favorite of theirs, but Hang is borderline C tier for me, but I definitely like it more than the C and D albums. Once again, a great episode. I enjoy these tier lists!
Thanks so much for watching! Our lists are pretty in sync aside from Railer, idk what it is about that album but I can never make it thorough a full listen.
Nice lists and glad I found this channel. Gotta start diving into the rest of these videos! My S tier would be a mix of both (Hoss and Blaze). I would also consider Hang for S tier. That album blew me away, after them not releasing an LP for so long. It met and exceeded my high expectations. Agreed on Railer as well. Not a bad album, just kind of a bummer with nothing that stands out to me.
Thanks so much for watching! Sounds like we see eye to eye on Lagwagon. Have some cool videos coming up - Millencolin, Leftover Crack, Strung Out, AFI, if there is any bands you would like to see, just let us know!
@@PunkRockRadar Oh, man. Millencolin and Leftover Crack... looking forward to it. I'd like to see Frenzal Rhomb to be honest, especially after watching your Top 10 list episode.
Hi guys , recent started to listening to Lagwagon (I’m 36) actually started with the railer album and I really like it , seven or eight solid tracks here IMO
It's definitely not a bad album, but I think (although possibly letting years of adoration cloud my judgement) that the earlier stuff just hits differently. Out of the later albums, definitely think Hang is a better album
@@PunkRockRadar working my through , moved on to let’s talk about feelings now. I think a lot of music for a lot of people is often shaped by nostalgia though. Certainly for me anyway.
Nice channel just found this video my list is S Blaze / Trashed A Resolve / Hang / Duh B Feelings / Hoss C Double platinum / Railer D Used to listen to Lagwagon / leftovers
Before I watch, 'Hang' better be up there. Sure 'Let's Talk About Feelings' and 'Double Plaidinum' got me into them and they had good early stuff, but 'Hang' rules as a complete album.
I always liked double plaidinum, and it has the only Lagwagon song, other than May 16th that I regularly remember because in Vernon BC the main street is called 27th Street.
In honor of May 16th I watched this vid....Lagwagon is one of my all time fave bands...and I agree with a lot of what you guys have to say .. My top 5 Lagwagon albums 5. Let's talk about feelings 4. Trashed 3. Blayze 2. Hoss 1. Double Plaidnium (in my top 5 albums all time ) I agree that hang is an underrated album...and railer is fine...but forgettable....
Looking forward to Millencolin. All the American punk shows and people I follow never give enough repsect to the Swedish punk bands. They were very well received down here in Australia. So many good bands from there.
Yea, fuck those re-releases. They might sound a bit better and super fans will enjoy listening to them a couple times. They should be separated somehow so we can enjoy the album the way it was meant to be.
Damn, I really liked Railer. I feel like Lagwagons weak point is that they dont consistenly nail the chorus. They do everything else right but a huge chorus is pretty much the backbone of any punk song. Railer had big chorus's throughout, with a couple exceptions that I though were decent regardless (Surviving California, Parable), and Thoughts and Prayers which was meh. Too, I liked that they incorperated heavyer, more punishing metal riffage.
Resolve was the only Lagwagon album that I bought. Others I borrowed from a friend. Automatic is the worst song on the album, I think, its a shame it was the second song, because it kills the great vibe you get from Heartbreaking Music, which is a banger. The Contortionist might be the best song on the album, though and is probably top 20-30 Lagwagon songs of all time.
Wtf I'm the #1 The Bonus Ballad of Bilbo Baggins fan, and I think there should be even more songs on duh. In fact they should stop releasing music and keep releasing duh with new tracks
Facts Duh is an outlier it’s so conceptually rich and heavy if they had just recorded it in 96 instead of 92 I think it would’ve sounded better but still great
B through D for me are pretty fluid outside of Older Brother, I can definitely see Railer rising eventually just haven't spent a ton of time with it compared to the others. But from what I listened to it didn't immediately click like Hang did.
@@manuelmendez6022 We appreciate it! Having a blast doing them. Have Millencolin, Leftover Crack Family (LOC, Choking Victim, Morning Glory, INDK, etc), then possibly Strung Out coming up!
You kinda drop the ball on this one guys. But it was really entertaining ;)
Not sure how you can say Hoss has a weak second half? Razor Burn is one of their best songs!
I agree, Hoss has a special place for me as it was my first Lagwagon album
Let's Talk About Feelings is punk rock perfection, not a cup of French onion soup to be found. LTAF and Double Plaidinum are my S tier records.

Good album...full of solid/punching/ fast riffs. But for me Trashed, Hoss, and Blaze are better!!
Just discovered this channel. I really enjoy this format. Its really fun to see you argue your rankings.
Thanks so much for checking out the videos, I really appreciate it! Descendents/ALL is next!
Blaze is hands down their best album
'Let's Talk About Feelings' is their masterpiece, 'Hang' is of one best punk albums of the 10's.
I agree with both of your points ;)
Great job guys! Keep it up. I was never as into every lagwagon album as some other bands but still awesome.
Thanks Aaron! Yeah we were both shot on this video, looks like I made some factual errors too haha, Hopefully Millencolin goes a little smoother.
Thanks for sharing the name tidbit, thought I was the only one that liked bringing that up.
Thanks for watching! Matt loves his tidbits haha

S Blaze / Trashed
A Resolve / Hang / Duh
B Feelings / Hoss
C Double platinum / Railer
D Used to listen to Lagwagon / leftovers
Trashed is the best Lagwagon album.
When we originally did our list it was in my S, I love Know it All and Island of Shame are some of my all time favorite LW songs.
@@PunkRockRadar I like stokin the neighbours, give it back, dischords, coffee and cigarettes.
YESSS HANG is so underrated! sorry for the caps :p
Hang rules! A lot of LW fans stick with pre-2000s but there are a lot of gems over the past 20+ years

mine goes like this...
S - Hoss / Feelings
A - Trashed / Blaze / Plaidinum
B - Hang / Duh
C - Leftovers / I Think..
D - Resolve / Railer
This is pretty spot on! It's a combo of both of our lists pretty much. Thanks for watching!!
Weird to not look at the original "Duh" album, which has 14 tracks. "Mr.Cofee" alone should keep this album out of the D category.
Yeah definitely not a D Tier, Not sure why we looked at the re-issues, in retrospect definitely an odd choice
In honor of May 16th I watched this vid....Lagwagon is one of my all time fave bands...and I agree with a lot of what you guys have to say ..
My top 5 Lagwagon albums
5. Let's talk about feelings
4. Trashed
3. Blayze
2. Hoss
1. Double Plaidnium (in my top 5 albums all time )
I agree that hang is an underrated album...and railer is fine...but forgettable....
Yeah we are pretty damn similar!
I will agree on 'Railer' though. They went from absolute awesome comeback to album to back to one of their worst.
Looking forward to Millencolin. All the American punk shows and people I follow never give enough repsect to the Swedish punk bands. They were very well received down here in Australia. So many good bands from there.
Later comer to Lagwagon. So far favourite album blaze, then double pladinum,
I'm right there with you on Blaze!
My wife's favorite album is Hoss (she actually likes one most people like) Ironically I love the 3 albums that have western themed cover photos
Never made the Western Themed connection until right now, haha
I would swap Trashed and Blaze but other than that pretty spot on John!
Yea, fuck those re-releases. They might sound a bit better and super fans will enjoy listening to them a couple times. They should be separated somehow so we can enjoy the album the way it was meant to be.
Yeah it is way overkill, I think the original mastering sounded pretty good too, perfect for the era
Trashed is probably my favourite. To this day.
Yeah such a hard band to rank, such good songs on every record
Hoss is absolutely S tier.
And Bro Dependent and Razor Burn blows up your "back half of the album" letdown theory.
Originally planned on S Tier for it, but ended up liking a few better. Thanks for watching!
@@PunkRockRadar Thanks for making this. Great memories.
Yeah I think Hoss is their best album !
(Or blaze)
Disrespectful putting 'hang' in A. Man, it is S tier for sure!

I think Automatic is a decent song, my wife always says it sounds like a Nirvana track though, But The Contortionist rocks for sure!
Wtf I'm the #1 The Bonus Ballad of Bilbo Baggins fan, and I think there should be even more songs on duh. In fact they should stop releasing music and keep releasing duh with new tracks
Haha, that's awesome, Duh 5X LP 31st anniversary vinyl incoming!
Facts Duh is an outlier it’s so conceptually rich and heavy if they had just recorded it in 96 instead of 92 I think it would’ve sounded better but still great
I prefer Railer to Duh and Resolve. But I understand why people don’t really like it
B through D for me are pretty fluid outside of Older Brother, I can definitely see Railer rising eventually just haven't spent a ton of time with it compared to the others. But from what I listened to it didn't immediately click like Hang did.
That horrible version of LL cool J's song is on Trashed; Duh has the excellent Bad Moon Rising cover.
Oh yeah! you are definitely right, my mistake there.. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@PunkRockRadar lovin' these teir videos, good stuff.
@@manuelmendez6022 We appreciate it! Having a blast doing them. Have Millencolin, Leftover Crack Family (LOC, Choking Victim, Morning Glory, INDK, etc), then possibly Strung Out coming up!
Railer is better than Hang, but no one listened both alnums equally.
It's a good point, I know I didn't give Railer a ton of listens, but not a lot made me want to
On a side note, the rolling stones will be playing shows from the grave.
Hahaha hopefully Lagwagon will be too!
Hoss and trashed and slightly behind let’s talk about feelings. Then blaze and resolve. The rest of the albums are mediocre
HOSS!!!
