This is the way I see it: If you're an intelligent guy, you get the BMW; if you're a practical guy, you get the Kawasaki; if you're a passionate guy, you get the MV. At the end, it's not about performance (nobody is actually going to a race with any of these), but about how the machine makes you feel and how it represents you. Personally, I'd get the MV as I believe that motorcycling is a matter more of the heart and less of the mind.
For racing Kawasaki, for street Bmw is the king (the engine of this bike is other level) but i prefer Mv Agusta; it's most beautiful and agressive than the others.
I have a 2010 MV F4 and an 08 R1 and hands down the MV is a show stopper. The R1 gets almost no looks, whereas the MV has almost caused an accident due to a guy not paying attention to the road because he was staring at the bike... lol. And yes the sound from the intakes alone is amazing! I love my R1 but the MV is on a whole different level, and no one will ever understand that if they've never owned one!
this is the reason why the Italian motors are the best, the last sentence: this is the bike I want! after say the others are better for rational reasons.. Italians build motor with passion and the feeling of the driver or rider is different, no excuses.
MV Agusta should really team up with Pagani, they are the same, raw, fun, visceral, powerful (same philosophies on performance), italian, beautiful (well Pagani looks are subjective, I love them, but still), small artisanal companies, both with AMG partnerships, both aren't the fastest on their categories, but still faster than almost everything ever made and still, they are prefered for a special group of crazy interesting people, that choose them over something "better".
the problem with Italian bikes are there reliability and maintenance cost !!!! I'm 46 and since I was a child I've had Ducati posters on my wall and it hasn't changed but I've owned many super bikes and and race and ride with many many crazy wealthy riders ranging in ages from 20 to 75 that have all different super bikes and between all of is we came to a conclusion and that's that Ducati and Aprilia Are not worth the trouble .. they are pieces of art but for the money and reliability they are not worth owning especially Aprilia , I live in Raleigh NC and the closest certified Aprilia shop is 3 hours away as foe Ducati we have a dealer close by and he rides with us and at his dealership he sells KTM , Ducati, BMW and for the money BMW owns sales and reliability out of his three .... but like the man said in the video he still wants the Italian. ..
Matthew Sprague BMW isn't that reliable either. The thing with italian bikes (hell, all european bikes) is that you will have to mod in order to fix. Point in case, Mv agusta, since the first f4 all of them overheat or tend to overheat, the solutions are a dozen, none really expensive and most are actually useful performance wise. With this, they become crazy reliable, like 80k no rebuild reliable. Plus who doesn't work on their bike / does maintenance?

If you want reliability, there is just two words: Japan and Honda.
I think the MV would be a nightmare to ride in a busy city, that clutch seems brutal, but my god does it look amazing. I would ride it every day just because it looks like Aphrodite. I wouldn't give a shit about comfort or how hard it is to ride it.
MV Agusta is the bike we all want to have in the garage. I have MV Agusta Brutale 1078rr. Only 38 years to know what is a motorcycle. God bless MV Agusta is the best.
Mv is gorgeous! The other bikes are beautiful too of course just the mv is a step ahead in terms of looks and two steps behind in terms of everything else lol
They forget to mention that BMW is also the worst to actually own.. Great if you never need to go into a dealership but when you do you wish you bought anything else..
The one thing you can't put a price on is exclusivity. If you pull up whether people know what an MV is or not they ask you about. There is no getting around the fact that they're special. If that isn't what you're looking for go for zx, if you want a great performer the BMW is hard to beat but if you want to feel special an MV does it in spades.
For me it's not all about performance. I'm more than a hundred per cent sure that the ZX-10R is a great machine. However, I believe there is more to owning a motorcycle. It is that sensation you wake on a Sunday morning, you open up the garage and there is this Italian machine sitting in your garage. Well, just my opinion really I had the money, but still I'd get the S1000RR rather than the ZX-10R.
My 47 yo godson has these three along with the RSV4 factory aprc, Duc's Pani, 1098R and 999R. All are full on - ecu, Ti exhaust etc. with the F4RR dropping the most weight / 40 lbs. Real world straight line - 1st BMW and MV tie with ZX10R close behind. Track day these are the last three - 1st RSV4 followed by 1098R, 999R, Pani, R1, GSXR. Up Mt San Jacinto on hwy 243 from Banning,Ca - 1st - 999R and then RSV4, R1, 1098R, Pani, BMW, ZX10, GSXR, MV. Fun factor - 1098R, RSV4, Pani, MV. WOW - MV.
But the Agusta looks SSOOO much better, and you feel like you have something special. I work at a motorcycle shop/service&repair place here in norway, and there are 3 ZX-10R (1 to be sold, and 2 to be repaired), And there are 2-3 BMW S1000rr and they look so ugly!!!
This is the best version of the F4, THE 2011/12 Corsacorta. Later version has more electronics and that awful ride by wire throttle which is too abrubt and snatchy. Same power from both motors though.
MV Agusta > BMW > Kawaski Do you buy a bike because it has 5 more hp or do you buy it because of emotions? How can you dare to compare a cheap Japanese bike to a MV Agusta which is an italian legend?!
OF COURSE IT IS THE BEST LOOKING BIKE. ESPECIALLY IN ALL WHITE!!!! WHO CARES ABOUTT HE FASTEST WHEN ALL 3 OF THESE BIKES ARE FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYBODY ON RUclips CAN HANDLE. 90% OF PEOPLE WHO WATCH THESE VIDEOS ON RUclips ONLY STREET RIDE OR DON'T EVEN OWN A BIKE!!
Very true, must adjust my figures... lol. But I still feel the same way. No sane rider can use all of the bikes capabilities on the street - so arguing about one bikes slight edge over the others is silly. Just buy what you love and continue to love and enjoy it
They are all great Bikes... I have added a full race Ti Akrapovic system and a power commander V with custom map by Factory Racing to my BMW S1000RR and it picked up 17 rwhp in the midrange. If it wasn't insane enough before, it's flat out bonkers now! You have to love the amazing choices we have in terms of sportbikes these days. Add the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE to the list of mouthwateringly great bikes available to us.
To the new rider that asked about the quick shifter. The BMW does have a quick shifter. However on any bike if you back out of the throttle and up shift the bike will engage the next gear because you are taking the pressure off of the transmission. That's why he quickly rolls out and back on during the run. He basically has his toe under the shifter rolls out and clicks up at the same time. Helps to keep you on the bike when it tries to run out from underneath you.
I have only ever owned 2 bikes (I'm 21 years old), both were ninjas. 250 while I was learning and now a 2008 zx6r and I have to say that Kawasaki really do make beautiful bikes to ride. I never would have said that they are my favorite brand but now it is difficult to imagine buying anything else. The BMW just has that little bit more technology and power though, and of course, the MV is gorgeous. Probs end up with zx10 tho cause its the one I can afford and I know I can trust it to be awesome!
R1, GSXR, F4R, RSV on the Bridge to Gantry (nurburgring) did 7:20 +/-10. If you add 5-10% for the last section, then you get a time from 7:40 to 8:10, which is slower than a 911GT3 or CTSV (respectively). Top gear measured the Arieal Atom to be 4 seconds faster than a CBR1000RR. Braking on a MotoGP bike maxes out at 1.5g where as a car you can max out at +2g depending how much you spend, where as the bike is hard to get greater deceleration.
I'm pretty much new to motorcycling and I love it, I just have one question... How come they aren't using the clutch when changing upwards on the ZX10 and the BMW? Is it like an autoclutch thing or something else?
2012 specs - MV Agusta F4RR - 423lbs, 185mph top speed, 201hp, $30,250 at current rates ZX-10R 436lbs, 190-196mph top speed, 200-210hp, $13,999, $14,999 with ABS BMW S1000RR - 442lbs, 190mph top speed(tested by Colin Edwards), 193hp, $22,290 ultimatemotorcycling calls the 2012 ZX-10R the "ultimate in performance" and "the front runner". topspeed considers the ZX-10R to be "in a class of its own". totalmotorcycle claims the ZX-10R "can take you places you’ve never been before". Easy choice.
and those factory spec superbikes are about as close as these are to scooters. ducati built the best wsb for years but was out done when it came to their road bikes
The top speed difference is mostly due to gearing. Notice how quickly the mv raps out in sixth gear. The other two bikes take longer to rap out due to higher gearing. Stock front sprocket is 15 tooth on the MV, and 17 tooth on the BMW. Makes a big difference. The MV looks more aerodynamic. With higher gearing it may beat the BMW in top speed.
It's no wonder there are so many fatalities in the UK. Those green lanes are lovely riding but the number of times I have come up on farm equipment or horse manure when rounding a bend would make your heart stop. Look bikes are fabulous, speed is addictive, I'd rather be riding then dead in an ugly. I regulate my passion in the longevity mode.
i do believe they can. shifting up without using the clutch won't harm the transmission if you let off the throttle when shifting, even on older bikes. at least i've heard so, correct me if i'm wrong, cuz i might be. and i like to be corrected, learn a lot from it :P
Why pay more for less performance? It's not as if the MV lasts longer. I personally choose a model based solely on performance as I'm more interested in how well it performs on track. This being the case, the Kawasaki, in my case, would be the right choice. This may not be the case for others and I don't expect to be criticized for my choice. Kawasaki has an outstanding development team and is world-renowned for their quality in engineering. Have you been living under a rock?... Seriously.
Who needs 200 hp to enjoy a motorcycle? Not me that's for damn sure. I can't imagine what it must feel like and how quickly you can get to 100mph without even thinking about it. 190 plus top end, I'd never even get close to that. I'd be thinking about a ground hog or a bird taking me off the bike. We have a lot of critters littering the road around here. On a road like the Dragon's Tail not many can keep up with my 22 year old BMW R/100/GS. You won't find any chicken strips on those tires.
Actually to get kawasaki is practical.
For racing Kawasaki, for street Bmw is the king (the engine of this bike is other level) but i prefer Mv Agusta; it's most beautiful and agressive than the others.
and for all go for yamaha 😂😅
Mv Agusta's piece of art
I have a 2010 MV F4 and an 08 R1 and hands down the MV is a show stopper. The R1 gets almost no looks, whereas the MV has almost caused an accident due to a guy not paying attention to the road because he was staring at the bike... lol. And yes the sound from the intakes alone is amazing! I love my R1 but the MV is on a whole different level, and no one will ever understand that if they've never owned one!
MV Agusta is like Pagani among motorcycles. Not the quickest but sure is quick and just beautiful 😍
Mv agusta f4 rr is really wonderful
this is the reason why the Italian motors are the best, the last sentence: this is the bike I want! after say the others are better for rational reasons.. Italians build motor with passion and the feeling of the driver or rider is different, no excuses.

Not any more sunshine.

Sounds amazing? Lol, these inline-4 all sound the same.
MVs can’t be ridden on the street at all, it’s a pain in the @ss, it better to hang it on the wall of your living room
Well not everyone races, nor do they want too. The MV is all about style, class, and uniqueness.
Really wish they would actually list the MPH these bikes hit... Why do the test and not give us the numbers?
gtiiiiiiii
The MV Agusta F4RR indicated 192 mph, and it was the slowest of the three.
I help anytime nah they are just pussys the mv has the most power if I was on it I would fuming destroy the fukers
I couldn't care if I could buy three kawasakis for the price of one MV. I would rather ride that gorgeous and rare MV.
MV Agusta is the bike we all want to have in the garage. I have MV Agusta Brutale 1078rr. Only 38 years to know what is a motorcycle.
God bless MV Agusta is the best.
mv is more beautiful
that's a matter of opinion but you're probably Italian so of course you're going to think it's better looking
no, it's just my opinion!!!
Scott Rosenboom but it just is though
Mv is gorgeous! The other bikes are beautiful too of course just the mv is a step ahead in terms of looks and two steps behind in terms of everything else lol
red ryder I’m English and let me tell ya kid you have a lot to learn Italian bike are beautiful
The MV will turn heads. No disrespect to the others but that thing is gorgeous.
1.) f4rr
2.) zx10r
3.) bmw
I love the Mv Agusta ! :)
I love Kawasaki, I own a ZX-14, but that I agree, the MV is the bike I'd rather see when I open my garage.
As a owner of mv agusta the comment section makes me proud
They forget to mention that BMW is also the worst to actually own.. Great if you never need to go into a dealership but when you do you wish you bought anything else..
lol my friend has a 2012 s1000r and he hates going to the dealership but he has to cause he doesnt have the knowledge to work on it himself.
Anthony H Is it costly?
He has a protection plan for 3 years, but yes it is expensive like anything BMW or German made.
Perks of living in Germany, cheaper servicing and Autobahn!
The one thing you can't put a price on is exclusivity. If you pull up whether people know what an MV is or not they ask you about. There is no getting around the fact that they're special. Agusta is the shit you just cant beat its style and performance. Just wait till the new F3 comes out and destroys the middleweight class.
Jesus Christ mate I hear you. I ride a slightly modified Sprint 955i and it has PLENTY of power. These things are INSANE.
My 47 yo godson has these three along with the RSV4 factory aprc, Duc's

MV.
1-F4
2-Zx-10
3-S1000
That MV sounds gorgeous!
Some very high speed wheelies.. At the end of the day they are all nice bikes and basically just boils down to personal taste..
MV sounds awesome!!!
MCN, proving what we already knew.
But the Agusta looks SSOOO much better, and you feel like you have something special. I work at a motorcycle shop/service&repair place here in norway, and there are 3 ZX-10R (1 to be sold, and 2 to be repaired), And there are 2-3 BMW S1000rr and they look so ugly!!!
wow that mv is still the most beautiful bike here. gorgious
MV out front, Catch me if you can!!!
love MV's sound :x
No throttle issues with the 2011 F4RR unlike later models.Only 500 were built. What a beauty.
Tom Sykes and Johnny Rea, enough said
Great vid. thanks guys
130 mph wheelie ! That's fucking epic . Fair shout
+Eggy 750 Grease 1200 You'll LOVE my 165 mph wheelies !!!!!!!!!!!
+lou30088 you joking ! Thas legendary shit if it's true
The MV has the sound looks and pedigree, and more than fast enough for road use.
Ahhhh, this is great, I wish all MCN vids were like this!!!
that mv is a think of beauty what a great bike
This is the best version of the F4, THE 2011/12 Corsacorta. Later version has more electronics and that awful ride by wire throttle which is too abrubt and snatchy. Same power from both motors though.
I'll take one of each if you don't mind! Love your work guys
i am so happy i found this channel
5:39 ...but this is the bike i want :D
I didn't think the BMW would ever come down!
that MV Agusta sounds more than an F1 and less than a superbike, amazing machine
also the reliability and price is a major factor
If you are, you have the money to buy the 3 bikes!!, just kiding.
MV Agusta > BMW > Kawaski
Do you buy a bike because it has 5 more hp or do you buy it because of emotions? How can you dare to compare a cheap Japanese bike to a MV Agusta which is an italian legend?!
Brutale looks awesome.
@Bartholomeusismyname
Speed isn't everything. I'd choose the MV anytime. It's just so drop-dead sexy! The best looking bike of the three! I think!
OF COURSE IT IS THE BEST LOOKING BIKE. ESPECIALLY IN ALL WHITE!!!! WHO CARES ABOUTT HE FASTEST WHEN ALL 3 OF THESE BIKES ARE FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYBODY ON RUclips CAN HANDLE. 90% OF PEOPLE WHO WATCH THESE VIDEOS ON RUclips ONLY STREET RIDE OR DON'T EVEN OWN A BIKE!!
hooray.. a MCN video longer than 2:30 min.
Very true, must adjust my figures... lol. But I still feel the same way. No sane rider can use all of the bikes capabilities on the street - so arguing about one bikes slight edge over the others is silly. Just buy what you love and continue to love and enjoy it

The MV might be the slowest but, it definitely sounds best
good summary thanks but your teasing us by doing all those data tests and then not giving us the figures!
I was thinking the same thing !!!!
It's not about numbers, it how it makes you feel.
i love the ZX10R. the MV is awesome as well!
Wow. Just Wow.
Yeah... right...
Kawasaki is still The Best Powerfull+Speedy
MV AGUSTA ... i feel like Homer while watching a donut..
Exactly. That's the challenge and beauty of bikes. :)
Yeah, it's awesome.
@Zavach85 You're thinking of WHP (wheel-horse-power) BHP is the power at the crank, if these bikes had 200whp, they would be producing about 230Bhp.
@supersayin1 Come on, the 1199 Panigale is nothing special, the 999 and 996 are better looking bikes, the MV Agusta F4 RR Edizione Finale is amazing!!
I'll take any of these.
I agree about Reliability being a big factor when it comes to these bikes... I've crashed my R6 several times racing and she's still rides like new.
Braking on a MotoGP bike maxes out at 1.5g where as a car you can max out at +2g depending how much you spend, where as the bike is hard to get greater deceleration.
remember mv agusta is handmade bikes.
I'm pretty much new to motorcycling and I love it, I just have one question... How come they aren't using the clutch when changing upwards on the ZX10 and the BMW? Is it like an autoclutch thing or something else?
ill chose MV!
Yeah i'd get the MV just for the name
12 years later, The MV agusta has become almost a mythical entity. You literally never see one.
2012 specs -
MV Agusta F4RR - 423lbs, 185mph top speed, 201hp, $30,250 at current rates
ZX-10R 436lbs, 190-196mph top speed, 200-210hp, $13,999, $14,999 with ABS
BMW S1000RR - 442lbs, 190mph top speed(tested by Colin Edwards), 193hp, $22,290
ultimatemotorcycling calls the 2012 ZX-10R the "ultimate in performance" and "the front runner".
topspeed considers the ZX-10R to be "in a class of its own".
totalmotorcycle claims the ZX-10R "can take you places you’ve never been before".
Easy choice.
love the MV, but BMW unbeatable ??? dont make me laugh. RSV4 beats it hands down through the corners on track every time
I'll take the RSV4 APRC over any of them all day long.
Kawasaki is the best among those 3. Should i remind you? It is the 2013 WSBK champion!!!
bout to be the 2014 champion as well.
Thumbs up Mykell!!! Go Sykes, Baaz and Sufoglu
and those factory spec superbikes are about as close as these are to scooters. ducati built the best wsb for years but was out done when it came to their road bikes
Froilan Rabang Yep
And now Kawasaki has been sbk champions for 4 consecutive years.
didnt mv forget about the limiter with the 1000?
So what was the top speed of the Kawasaki ZX-10R?
BRILLIANT JUST BRILLANT CHAPS.
very good review!
That single headlight just kills the looks of the bike for me. The rest is nice.
taken from wsbk official, 2012 pre-race test @ phillip island 21st Feb. sykes nailed it both rounds :p
Agusta is stunning.
This is the bike I want too..!
It's no wonder there are so many fatalities in the UK. Those green lanes are lovely riding but the number of times I have come up on farm equipment or horse manure when rounding a bend would make your heart stop.

Although you've been marked as spam, I agree 100% Now, if this was the Brutale, we'd have a problem.

Agusta = me gusta :>
ABSOLUTLY RIGHT...PLUS YOU GET A R&D MACHINE MADE IN ITALY
literally nothing can beat the s100rr. its the best for the track and for the street and is the best in every way except for some people the looks.
