I can't wait for this game to drop! I beat the original in 1997. And finished Remake and the Yuffie DLC! 4 more days!!
Based on the demo, seeing how they handle the open world aspect just blew my mind. Like, going to the chocobo farm. Back in the day, you would enter it and the screen would black out. Now it’s just absolutely seamless. Wow. Just incredible.

I feel the same way as you. Time is dragging. I preordered mine digitally so I can start at midnight. I didn't hear it mentioned but if you have a save file for the Remake you will get Leviathan Summon Materia and with a save file for INTERmission you will get Ramuh Summon Materia. Can't wait!

I loved both parts of the demo. I liked the junon part of the demo though more cause of getting to see what the out in the world gameplay was like though.
A couple of big youtubers have around 95 hours for 100% completion in 1 playthrough (impossible to get platinum in one playthrough)
I'm so pumped! The wait seems intense for this game, I remember watching my brother play it on ps1 after school and I couldn't get past midgard for forever 😂😂😂

Man, the wait time is literally physically affecting me at this point haha. Im anxious every day! I cant help it! Its my childhood masterpiece all grown up and fully fleshed out in the way i always dreamed of! And being a big fan of devil may cry, and kingdom hearts, and games like persona and tales of, these games have the perfect blend of gameplay to me. Its chefs kiss. Ive been waiting so long for all of this!

I literally just started my play through again of final fantasy 7 last week just for refresh on memory I gotta finish before launch currently on chapter 16 currently almost there 🙏
I’m so excited I’m finishing up a second playthrough of remake before I jump into this fantastic looking game
In remake, you had to finish the game at least 3 times to get all 3 outfits, all sidequests, which some were related to how many optional sidequest you did in specific chapter, and all 3 cutscenes at Aerith place, which were linked to affinity to related character. And that was IF you knew how to unlock each of them from the get go. I wasted 2 playthroughs getting the same things twice! And with the even more complex affinity system in rebirth, I think there will be trophies linked to specific cutscenes/events that will much likely requires more than 2 playthroughs to get all of them. Just thinking about the gold saucer gondola scene, which you can have with either Aerith, Tifa, Barret and even Yuffie in the original, the odds of platinum it in 2 plays is very low imo
Wish the junon part of the demo said that if you go to far into the town and save you can't leave

Lol, I was planning on re-playing Remake and the Yuffie DLC on the PS5, but we're only a few days away, and I haven't had the time. I guess I'll at least play and finish the DLC before Rebirth drops

I got a little lucky there, I happened to enter the fight with Aerith on my team, and all 3 characters had Materia the boss was weak to. So an Arcane Ward let everyone double cast spells the boss was weak against.
If it wasn’t for it putting me in a water bubble, the fight would be manageable.

Wrong it’s a rpg first mmo second it has the best story in the series.
It’s also possible to play 95 percent of the game solo. The devs have been pushing the duty trust system where players can get through the story with npc’s and the significant characters of the story.

@@pipgaming3410 Lol what the grinding as you put it isn’t bad. A healthy JRPG has a good amount of grinding. The only way you can say that is if you focus on optional content outside of the main story.
My favorite FF has always been FF7. I always made Cloud my character name in every game I played. Lol. It really bums me out that I haven't been able to play the remake. The game play looks amazing and brings back so many memories. 😢

Remake surprised me how well it was done, I feel like rebirth isn’t going to have that same magic but I’m still willing to see as I’m excited for it.

Did they take out cloud arieal attacks? If not how do I do it I played the demo and couldn't for some reason
Cloud can fight near permanently in the air.
Dodge and mash square for ranged attack, dodge and hold square to go airborne. Once airborne keeping dodging cloud stays up near forever
cloud is the only one in the junon demo who can create air combat on his own. You press Circle then Hold Square to create air combat solo. Then either dash constantly in the air to stay up forever or keep your air "getsuga tenshous" with basic attacks and Triangle to end the air combat with a nice finish
Wait, so there is a reason to play the Junon demo? I wanted to just stop after Nibelheim demo and experience the rest of the game blind but if I have to do both for those extras that's actually annoying.

Demo was awesome, but didn't want to do all of chadleys tasks. Since they don't carry over, would rather wait. Did all the 'learn how to fight' tasks tho.

This is awesome I wish gf 16 got this high of a score cause I’m in love with the modern style of FF I’ve completed 15 and 16 loved both learned about versus 13 and cried and started playing the original ff7 and the first 5 FFs

But I grew up with the original final fantasy games
16 was a minor entry and shows how stagnant this franchise has gotten bruh. Anything less than a re7/botw reinvention will cause the entire franchise to fade into obscurity.
This looks nice, I like the game mechanics of fight, so fun to play with :))
only problem i'm having with the junon demo (albeit a small issue!) is constantly being interrupted no matter what character i use, while annoying it does make you reconsider and plan out what to do so you don't get interrupted and lose an ATB charge.
I like to call it no-poise-itus.
Something i learned to do in Part 1 was to switch characters to build up atb. One it was stacked up i would switch to other characters and dump their atb whilst i built up atb with that character. Enemies always aggro the player controlled character (unless you use skills to provoke or taunt enemies) so you will have less issue with being interrupted
@@SirSabzZa yeah that's pretty much what i was doing in the junon demo, in remake i found it easier to get ATB attacks off while tanking hit, while in rebirth it's much easier to get interrupted when trying the same strat/tactic
I still haven’t progressed in the main story in the demo, still trying to kill Phoenix 😭😭
Full Might Phoenix is harder than the boss of the demo. What I did was beat it on a lower option, save, go beat the demo boss (which ends the demo), then reload and challenge Phoenix some more (you can re-fight it as often as you like even after you get the Materia). I think even one notch down was still harder than the demo boss.
How will the main title know you finished the Demo if it doesn’t let you create a save file at the end? It’s weird that it lets you create a save file during the ~2hr playthrough but then doesn’t let you create a finished save state at the end.
Is there anything left for the game to surprise us with or have we seen it all?
I just hoping ps5 doesn't overheat since I will play this like crazy, FF16 overheating ps5 was real pain.

Yeah these guys definetly need to be involved in the next numbered game, you want a team that's going to push themselves to make the best game they possibly can.
For sure, they need to make this as their standard for main ff games. Ff is all about good story and good cast. Ff16 would have been great if they added a full party gameplay amd customization like ff7 rebirth. I dont know what yoshi p was thinking focusing on one character gameplay.
@@King-2077 I actually think 16 is a great game and does feel like a Final Fantasy game, most of the time. The story felt really engaging and the gameplay was good, however as I got to the end I found myself not wanting to make excuses anymore for why they don't do a more traditional rpg when we have other companies proving those still have a place in gaming.
Then of course there was the R rating, 16 had no buisness being an R game and I will stand on that forever. None of the other games ever needed to go that far to be good and neither did this one. The way they put in the R elements was so damn forced like the DMC reboot. I could feel the desperation to chase trends from Square in those moments. So to put it simply even though I really did enjoy 16 I did not want it to be the standard going forward, I want Square to either go full turn based again. Or stick with the 7 remake game's combat, I feel like that's created a nice happy middle ground where it can feel like Final Fantasy completely just with a modern twist.
@@Cloud-dt6xb i dont understand why turn base is still being requested because it will never happen anymore. Square has to cater to new generation as well. But i do agree that the happy medium is the ff7 rebirth combat and they should make it like that from now on. Also, they should stop trying to be something they arent. Ff16 though was great was copying GoT amd the witcher with ff elements into it. The combat was ok but bored me. I play ff games for party customization and party synergy, ff16 could have focused on clive, jill and cid as the main playable characters, it would have been a better game if they did, but no, the game constantly kills off their characters and leave characters that are useless amd we dont care about lol.
@@King-2077 Simple because again other companies are showing it can still work so I will no longer accept the excuse that modern audiences won't be into it. I'm tired of accepting that excuse and Square of all people should be pushing to prove that one wrong. However like I said if they just went with the 7 remake combat I'd be happy with that. It still felt like tradtional Final fantasy when I played.
@@Cloud-dt6xb it works of course if you’re target sale number is low. A Triple A game with turnbase will never work unless you want them to go bankrupt. So yes they have an excuse to not go back to turnbase. Rebirth combat is the happy medium they should stick with but pure turnbase is dead. Low budget game is the only game they can apply it with.
Unless it’s PC release.. I’ll wait 5 years.. :(

Well according to leaks: Aerith still gets stabbed and dies, but the she's alive and well with Zack in the other timeline. The two timelines are going to merge, which means Zack and Aerith will rejoin the fight against Sephiroth in Part 3.
Game ends with so many questions and mystery that it's basically a cliffhanger.

It did reach as high as 94 metascore at point. To me it's a 93 metascore, the second highest rated ff game of all time. It went from 93 to 92 too fast to count in my book.
It’s pretty meaningless when you consider how there were far fewer reviewers in the past. Chrono cross getting a higher metacritic score than Chrono Trigger also calls its value into question.
It’s only worthwhile mentioning because it’s been a long while since a FF got over 90 on metacritic and shows that they finally have a very good FF.
Review scores mean nothing, I mean shit mass effect 3 is over 92 and was ass compared to its previous entry. People putting any substance or weight on review scores likely can’t think for themselves, it’s an old system and narrative that needs to die. Watch gameplay, listen to the opinions of people you trust to decide whether you want to play a game, and not a pointless scoring system that’s outdated.

I highly doubt the game will be a complete 1-1 of the OG, this map we are shown is probably a continent and the far east area such as wutai will be released for the 3rd installment, as for mideel they will probably make it a seperate region also, after all if we explore the whole map in this game we wont have much left for the finale.
62 Side Quests isn't that much considering Skyrim has over 270 side quests, lol way more with modes
