- In this video, I’ll show you how to get to Paris from Charles de Gaulle Airport using public transportation (RER B).
I landed at terminal 1 from Zurich, Switzerland.
Follow exit signs (« sortie » in French).
Then, follow directions for Paris RER B or trains to Paris.
Use CDGVAL to transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3/Roissypole where the RER B station is located.
Once arrived, purchase a single ticket (11.45€) from one of the machines located at terminal 3/Roissypole.
Select, Tickets to Paris, single, confirm, then pay.
Retrieve your ticket.
Go to the RER B station.
Board the train bound to St-Remy-les-Chevreuse.
Get off at either Gare du Nord, Châtelet les Halles, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Luxembourg or Port-Royal for central Paris.
From there, you can use the metro (underground/subway).
A single ticket costs 2,10€ and is valid for one ride only.
Good luck! Welcome to Paris and have a nice stay! 😃

I’m literally typing this as I just arrived at my hotel here in Paris right now from CDG after a very long flight from the west coast US. Everything was going smoothly from the airport all to Gare du Nord (where my hotel is close to). The tiny paper ticket you receive from the machine at CDG didn’t work as I was about to leave the city center station. You can’t exit the station without a ticket or a Navigo pass. France phased out the paper tickets sometime this year, so the turnstile won’t take it and you’ll be stuck. I had to walk around the station and asked store clerks and security with my broken French for help. Luckily there were a few nice security personnel close by and they had to use their cards to tap me out so I can exit. Just putting this out there to help a fellow confused traveler. Maybe it’s not just me. Bon Voyage!
Best tutorial I've found! No more those expensive taxi. Thank you so much!
You’re welcome ☺️
Great video. Appreciate the arrows and the close-up with the ticket machine! Thanks!!
Thank you Christine ☺️. You’re welcome!
The best details I have seen on RUclips. Thank you very much. I hope you answer my questions❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! ❤️
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you.
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank you very much
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank you very much from Brasil
You’re welcome ☺️
Thx. for the detailed video. How much time did it take from getting of the plane until getting to Port-Royal in Paris?
You’re welcome ☺️. About an hour but I didn’t have a checked bag and didn’t have to go through customs since I arrived from a European country. If you have a checked bag + customs, probably an hour and a half or two.
Excellent, thanks for the step by step. Do they also have an express train, with no stops in between?
You’re welcome Gaby ☺️. No unfortunately, no express train but you can use Roissybus (14€) that will take you directly to Opera station in Paris. The trip is about 60 min.
Yes, but it's rare and there is no single track on the express train but it does exist, the train announcer indicates each time at CDG 1 or Aulnay Sous Bois if it's a direct train to Paris Gare du Nord or not
did not you need to validate the ticket before riding a train? if so, how? this is to prevent the tickets given by the ticker checker
You’ll have to validate the ticket when you enter the metro.
Excellent video, thanks for everything, but I still have a doubt. The Round-trip ticket, is 24 hours? Or I should use the ticket in a specific time limit?
Thank you! ☺️ The round trip is valid for two trips, it is not valid for 24 hours or a specific amount of time unfortunately.
@@guillaumelaporte1478 Thanks so much for such a quick answer, that means that if I buy Round trip from CDG on Monday and I go to paris in the morning, I can go back to CDG the same day in the afternoon without any trouble?
@@jorgecarlosfernandez4785 yes 👍😊
@@guillaumelaporte1478 so if i want to come back to the airport i just keep it with me when returning back
@@medicenpeludo4751 yes. You will need it to enter the metro.
Hello Does all metro stations has lifts or elevators is some one carries luggage
Not all of them unfortunately
How do you know which train to take while on the platform ? Is it labeled ?
There is a screen that indicates the direction 😊
You landed at terminal1 but rer-b is only at the terminal 3 ?
The transfer from t.1 to t.3 is free ? you need a reservation ?
Thank you
Yes the transfer from terminal 1 to 3 is free and you don’t need to reserve. Best. 🙂
After you get off the trein can you also take the metro with the same ticket?
Yes 👍
@@guillaumelaporte1478 Do you have to buy additional ticket?
@@guillaumelaporte1478 th, dude
How do you know which train you are hopping in? Im confused.
It is indicated on the screen 📺 you need to take the train towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse
Where to buy the navigo weekly pass
Load your Navigo Weekly Ticket with the Ile-de-France Mobilités app in the Buy section. You can also load it onto a Travel Card at sales points.
What is the price of a ticket from Chardoucault Airport to Paris?
11,40€ ☺️
This has too many fast cuts. I had to stop and rewind several times to keep track of the signs and stops I would need. Appreciate the video regardless.
👍
Did you get off from Sherdogul Airport and take... RER b
Who brought you to Paris?
Yes I did. You can take RER B directly from the airport and then it will take you to the city Center. 🙂
