"I had to work hard to create thoughts that were louder and more important than my eating disorder thoughts and my OCD thoughts…" -when I heard this I stopped the TedTalk and just sat for a second. This sounds so simple but for someone with OCD this is one of the most challenging and difficult tasks! You've left me inspired~

Why are obsessions and compulsions about food/weight seen as an eating disorder and not OCD? If those obsessions etc were about something else apart from food /weight it's OCD. Why is this lady categorising her thoughts about food obsessions differently to other obsessions she classes as OCD? They're just different subjects of the same disorder
