Really happy there will be a kit coming soon. Had a week long visit in London, and just got back. Enjoyed several museums, but saw very little in the way of medieval history. Will keep watching for the kit release date.
Hi I came across your book Lost Art of the Anglo Saxon World (I’m interested in Anglo Saxon history as a lay person not an academic!) and went on to find your web site and channel which are fascinating and I’m I’m looking forward to seeing more about the Bayeux tapestry. I’m not an embroiderer ( my passion is hand quilting) but I’m fascinated by all things to do with sewing and history and I love to learn about tools, stitches wool dying etc. etc. So I can’t wait for more videos from you! 😀
That's so lovely to hear and I'm really pleased the book, website and this channel are helping to fuel your interest (there's definitely no escape from the world of early medieval embroidery now 😄). I admire anyone who does hand quilting. I've tried but its just not for me. I don't know why really. It was just one of those things. The next Bayeux Tapestry video should be out soon. We're just finishing the editing of it. I'm already researching and building up for the one after that so hopefully that won't be too far behind 🤞
Definitely interested in a kit 😊, I did one about 30 years ago and I have another that I haven’t started as, until I found your videos I was unsure how to stitch it
Hi Thanks for replying! I forgot to say in my earlier comment that I would be interested in the ‘inspiration packs’ that you mentioned in another of your videos. I think it’s a wonderful idea. 😀
Thank you so much! I'm so pleased you enjoy the videos. This kit is due out via my website at the end of September, so keep an eye out! I'll also make a short video for this channel announcing when it lands on the webshop.
Thank you, that’s very kind! I’m using a handwoven linen that’s been made to the same specifications as the original BT fabric. It’s an evenweave (plain / tabby) with approximately 22 warp threads and 18 weft threads per cm

Wat een mooi borduurwerk maakt u. Mag ik vragen welk soort fabric gebruikt u voor dit borduurwerk.
Thank you, that’s very kind!
