ANET needs to show off player builds in the trailer of the expansion! 100% need to let some Guild Hall builders loose in a beta and then use that footage in trailers

Why stop there, they should make a weekly spotlight of build showcases when they come out. Like Poe does.
They did something similar with thy weeping willow... They let her access an early version to show case the new masteries in soto related to grifin and skyscale, made a video featuring her skill in grifin riding
@@someone_7233 true they just need to post the footage themselves and not just community members. imagine having the insane roller beetle racers construct something alongside an insane jumping puzzle or recreations of famous landmarks. The trailer would go hard af

I had very little expectatives on personal housing, i thought most of the things would be pre-made, fixed placement things, where you just pick a style of furniture and only that...
Seeing those 3D handles for height, width and rotation... Man, im actually blown away.
This is totally remiscent of WildStar housing, and this is an absolute good that exist.

I would love a dungeon builder in a future expansion
Player built mini dungeons where you can learn to create traps and puzzles and rooms where you place hologram enemies
Even better if you can set difficulty on it and enter other player's dungeons like strike missions

I'd like it if they added an event involving homesteads, like a stampede of mobs just trying to get a capture point in your area.

I hope that there would be possibility to remove that wooden shack and build house in the style you like. Would be cool to see decorations for all 5 cultures, also Cantha and Elona inspired.
Also I hope it would be possible to set the places for Alts, i would be furious if they would be dancing all around. Btw, teapot, push the idea up through your ways, It would be cool to make some idle animations for alts. Like seating sipping tea, reading, gathering resourses, taking care of the mounts.
I hope they add something like bestiary type trophies from killing world bosses or other unique monsters.

Would love a way to share a decorated homestead. PoE has this for their hideout feature which is similar but, to be fair, a bit simpler. I love having a cool hideout there but can't be bothered to do the decorating xD

wonder if you'll get to change the biom from autumn to like Jungle or winter, making a Sylvari oasis or a Norn log house with a cosy fire. weather chooses would be something, but it may be to much :D

Really cool feature they aint coming out of nowhere a lot of mmo like Phantasy Star, Black Desert, FF XIV... had this feature but guild wars probably gonna win by far on the level of polish and feedom cant wait to see whats next
I wonder if I'd be able to use the decorations I put in my guild hall, things like the HoT exclusive deco you got from pre ordering HoT and all those... or at least take them deco out of guild halls to put in home

No, I don't think they talked about minis. But hey, the system seems very rich and generous already. I wouldn't mind if minis were not included. Besides, it could just be for a future update. I'd like to also have libraries to stock all the books and lore documents you can find in the game.
@@Ojyh Ye if no minis now then definitely later, heck they could expand this system so player make pvp/gvg maps that can be shared. Listing your homestead and joining matches etc.
Wildstar lives on, this is literally a clone of Wildstar's housing system and this isn't a bad thing.
Wildstar is well known to have had the finest housing system of any multiplayer game.
Now if ANet could clone the raids from Wildstar they might be actually onto something ...
The first few months after Janthir Wilds go live thew world will be empty because everybody is at home decorating.
IF Anet intreduce some little custom scripts they NEED to port this feature to custom arenas
imagine getting pre scripts or trigger, for dolyak routs like in wvw or making units like in stronghold. we could create new gamemodes
Actually i am impress about how they are doing the feature.
Still looking if homestead will have a progression system like Guildhalls have, because always having a number going up is a good carrot in a mmo or they are going to stay with masteries... or a mix of both.

Years ago i would be against one click collect all. Years after doin that....idc give it to me now. Aint nobody got time for that
The thing I like about that - if you are there for the experience, maybe hanging with some friends, you can do it the old fashioned way. But if you are in a hurry or don't wanna gather right now, you can just take the short cut :D

Homestead templates when?
Something that i definitely think is an advantage to developing gw2 is that because there's no level reset and gear treadmill, the developers can actually give some time to new features and masteries, and they kinda have to, because if they don't, then the experience as a whole is poor
Sadly I wont be able to see all of my alts at once 😅
1k build limit is NOT enough. if we are going to build lighthouse like structures with multiple wall and pillar sections we need that upped closer to 4-5k
I guess there will be a way to upgrade that - with gems probably 😬

Several times you mention things you'd like to see added to the homestead in the future, but you know as well as we do that one thing Anet does better than develop quality features is abandon those quality features. Fishing, WvW, dungeons, fractals, raids, underwater combat, jade bots, etc.
For those who played it.
This feature screams. City of heroes base building quality and I for one cannot wait.

First Rifts now Rift Dimensions (Player Housing System which looks a lot like Rift's confirmed). Good thing I liked Rift.
This is just like ESO player housing. Not complaining at all, because there are ALOT of ppl invested in that in ESO, and the player housing community in ESO have competitions where you can win alot of different things aswell. Might see that in GW2 also.
