The term “exotic” is subjective/relative. When I went to the Middle East as a black woman with locks I was considered exotic and received compliments from both men and women. My husband is from Sri Lanka and he’s considered exotic here in the U.S. So from my experience “exotic “ is anything/anyone that’s different from the usual.
Black women please stop waiting around for or chasing down Black men. If marriage is a priority for you, open up your options and thoroughly vet other races of men but please keep the bar set high.
Girl please. Black women aren't waiting for nothing. They ( many, not all) think they are too good for most regular guys. 1) Stop Lying to them and setting them up for More failure. No men from other races are checking for or wanting BW, for the Same reasons brothas are walking away Too fat, too masculine , big mouth, uncooperative, disagreeable, argumentative combative, disagreeable, non feminine, nor Non submissive. If you have black kids, they are likely more comfortable w a same race parent, step parent. Pretty much goes for every race. @@rgtunderworldrgt7773 you do realize that women of other races/ nationalities have the same issues right? In fact.. a black African man was just MURDERED by a woman other than his nationality.. a white woman. This isn’t a race issue.. it’s a sin issue..
Thank God we don't look like what we've been through. This woman has been through a tough journey. It can add insult to injury when people look at you and think they know your story. We're all on the journey. God bless this woman. Great episode.
@Roots, I totally agree with you. Thank you for stating exactly what I was thinking! Blessings to this woman & blessings to you and everyone in the comments! Great podcast L W, continue blessings to you as well!
Hey 👋 Laterras, the Bible says as Christians we should not be indulging in sex before marriage so why would you suggest sex to this woman? Is it a case of accepting the word of God fully or when it suits us?
She just exposed his true persona. He's been on this interview tour, trying to improve from his former marriage. With all this knowledge and experience these guests are pouring into him, why did he have ANOTHER toxic relationship BEFORE this proposed relationship and AFTER his marriage? This dude is a fleecer. Ladies beware.
@clybrokeagaincausemonareve9753 For clarity, this episode was recorded 2 years ago, AND he said this happened after ending the toxic relationship he was in. He was at the beginning of him healing. You have to listen to the details, to the FULL interview and not just hear sexuationship!! He's not the same man you've been learning about in the last year!
“It is my desire to marry an African American woman!” Thank you baby, and you just went up 10 points. You are so fine! As much energy and great chemistry that y’all have you know that there are millions of black woman out there and you can find one just as dope and just as beautiful as this wonderful woman!!
Girl... I need to be deliverT because I was tense from the very beginning when I seen the thumbnail. Then like you said, their chemistry was undeniable. I was like, I know this ain't going down on my new favorite RUclips channel... After I stopped shacking up and this is the thanks I get?!🤨 🤣😂
This was good. I knew Linda years ago when the boys were very little. She’s a good mom and from this episode shows that she hasn’t changed. Great episode sis!
Even while discussing the most difficult times of her life she has such an awesome energy! I love this lady! Have her back on the show! She is the epitome of LIT! God bless her!!!🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽
Awww thank you so much Mrs. Baty... I wish there was enough time to dive into certain areas more but given it was off the dome and our nerves were nerving lol.. we were a tad sprinkled. But I'm so grateful for your kindness and truly grateful for your energy❤️
The Energy, Transparency and Honesty that was displayed in this episode was so refreshing. If we all could effectively communicate with others on this type of level we would be so much better as a people. Another Great Show please keep them coming at 55 I have learned so much from watching.
@CaSandra Williams Totally in agreement with you! Love, love the transparency, I really wish some will have a more open mind...just my thoughts! Blessings everyone!
I was hired on as a black nail tech at a Vietnamese owned nail salon. I was so surprised to see that my “Vietnamese fam” had come from such humble beginnings and were battling some of the exact same generational family patterns as the black community is better known for. Was literally like “dang y’all got black folks problems” 🤣 And yes one of my good Vietnamese fam has 2 boys out of wedlock from 2 different fathers. She’s a fantastic mother and has her own shop and house now. You just don’t know what people have been through. Linda is beautiful does not look her age or what she’s been through and her sons are grown! Her story resonates with mine in similar ways; maybe not as intense! I felt her when she said she’s been a workaholic all her life trying to gain her own independence without using her looks and/body to get ahead! The Holy Spirit really has a way of drawing a line FOR YOU when you’re a woman of God! Lol I’m sure Linda will finally have her happily ever after soon and she definitely invited to the cookout!
I would have liked for the conversation to have expanded to Ms Ngo's spiritual walk since leaving her grandmother's home. Usually, that's included in your other guests interviews. I don't think that we in the Christian community have a chance to frequently hear publically from Asian Christians' perspective. I appreciate her talking a bit about her upbringing. If she has time to do an Instagram live one day that would be great.
AWWW . Thank Youuuuuu so much for that. I'll definitely be there to answer any questions you have and I'm thinking my social media may give you a tiny grasp on my walk.. but you're so sweet and I Thank you for your Kindness❤
Chiiiilllleeee, if THE Laterras R. Whitfield wasn't the host I wouldn't e'en watch this episode - BUT - with him at the helm I have faith this conversation will be enlightening & educational.
@@gck_replayzz1029 No disrespect, definitely not here to be disrespectful to anyone, but his titles are REAL life stories, that we all need to hear...in my opinion. Am loving where he has taken his podcast in the last couple of episodes! Great job Laterras!!!! Many blessings to everyone
I was upset at the title. Texted a friend and we've been having a conversation about exoticism. I'll read the comments to see the outcome of this episode.
It goes back to White supremacy and the buy in that dark skinned women are not good enough - not feminine enough - and now that an African American woman period is not good enough no matter the skin tone. It’s very sad and it’s entrenched in many families. The sad part about this is they lack knowledge and fail to realize that the Fulani and the Tuareg and the Ethiopians and Egyptians and many ethnic groups within Africa look what they call “exotic” which is ridiculous terminology and thinking. My prayer is that our people will be liberated from this type of thinking, but sadly I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
@@houseoftravson3162 just because you haven’t experienced a nice feminine black women doesn’t mean they don’t exist lol. Saying you don’t care about generalizations and then generalizing black women is hypocritical.
@@houseoftravson3162 Wow. That actually doesn't apply to me. I'm kind, giving, a woman of God, graceful, and although I've been through a lot, I still have faith that God is still in control. I'm great at customer service and have received many awards. And I know many other darker complexion women who have done the same. I'm sure you realize that your complaint is baseless. So consider this. Prayer - ask God to help you deal with the root of your complaint. I'm sorry that it happened to you, but you can't throw away an entire group - your sisters - because of a compilation of incidents. Perhaps self-reflection is in order.
But I also consider it as schizophrenic cowardice. It was fine to force themselves on black women during slavery (and after) but then spread the narrative that they're not desirable. If I recall correctly, that was a former senator's (or his family's) story ref. Strum Thurman.
I love the darker skin tones, they are so beautiful.i do agree with you. When you choose that Asian man they will judge you harshly. I will date out of my race ,just because I can. Other men of different races are a lot of fun.and they treat you so well.i want the man that wants me.
This lady needs to either be on radio or a voice over actress. She has a very very lovely voice. It's melodic, I can't quite explain but - she needs a gig.
@@jocelyngardner5711ou better say it!!! Things we have been doing for centuries, that were frowned upon is now “exotic” when other nationalities do it. We’re our own downfall in this world.
She had a great personality and I think the episode revealed how often people miss out on great encounters and experiences because we are so stuck on external versus internal. I appreciated Laterras is committed to marrying a black woman and his podcast proudly speaks on Black Love because any Asian person that wants to can have a Asian Love, Mixed Love, Hispanic Love podcast if they want representation. I feel too often other groups continue to ride the backs of blacks and always expects inclusion from Blacks but they are 100% dismissive of us in their lives! Asians benefitted 100% more from the Black Lives Protest and work than even black people, they got a Anit-hate bill while Blacks still do not but are they out there fighting for our Bill since they got theirs (NO) they are not! LGBTQ has benefitted 100% from our civil rights fights and committment and have been given rights galore, while we got Juneteenth as a National Holiday but notice how all companies have a LGBTQ logo they proudly display during their month, but what do they do for Black History not one dang thing. I found this young lady to be great and awesome I'm hoping she will start a mixed family podcast, I'm just totally over everyone feeling entitled to be included in our work but they don't ever do anything to promote us! I'm a Cornell University Certified DE&I professional and I have to really let these other groups in workshops know BLACK folks have done enough for your benefits, so don't expect not one more thing from us when we have yet to see you sacrifce for us and we honestly benefit. I'm all for people loving whoever they choose to love but I'm not for people thinking because you have mixed babies with Black people, we as a cultural have to look out for you!
Yes, Vee, well said. Every other group loves to ride our coattails, because we let them! And they could care less about us. Heck, I can't even shop in some of these Asian-owned beauty supply stores without being watched like Imma steal something.
You know the standard for “blackness” is low when you have people asking this woman if she has black in her or trying to claim her as black when she’s clearly and Asian woman. Her sons are not black. They’re biracial. Black is black and biracial is biracial. Why is this so hard for some people to understand?
@@shaniharris2395 To me he's Mixed. I NEVER saw him as Black and you guys use him like it's going to change someone's mind. And he's NOT all that too me either.
This episode seemed lighthearted in comparison to others. I enjoyed Linda's joyful spirit and would have liked to dig deeper into who she is and how she is dating. As a woman of color, I think everyone becomes exotic when dating outside of one's culture. Also, I don't see & feel a significant amount of support from men of color. I'm raising a son and although he may choose outside of his race, I'm raising him to love, appreciate and cherish his culture first. To see the beauty in our curly coily hair and our dark skin. Black women have to be strong and sometimes we may come off as "too strong" because oftentimes we are left carrying our families. Operating in roles that are designed for men through the grace of God. As an educated black woman and single mom, I can speak for some...we look forward to submission. It's seemless when we have learned to submit to God first. I find there is amazing value and protection in submission. My prayer is that God will raise up more black men who have eyes to see the value that we possess.
She is a whole vibe! I really enjoyed this interview. PS, One thing that struck me when you were describing what you were offering her as a friends with benefits friend, it felt like prostitution. I know that wasn’t your intention but that’s how I felt when I heard you recap it to her. If someone I considered a friend offered me a FWB situation the way you offered it to her, I would’ve rejected it too. Funny thing is, if you had just offered her the FWB without the financials, you would’ve have been having a much different conversation with her.
I absolutely unequivocally hate that term Exotic. There is nothing more Exotic then a full blooded black woman! There's no other race of women that look act feel like a Nubian Mahagony woman.
Exotic means different depending on the person using it. As a black man I don’t find black women exotic because I grew up around them but a white man that grew up around mostly white women would view you as exotic because you’re different than what he’s accustomed to.
Even though it can mean different things, depending on the situation.....I agree....most of the time, in the US, if someone uses that term, they are referring to someone who is of a mixed /biracial background
I Love this Episode, I like Linda was Honest and living in her Truth. We all been Hurt, felt used, and abused no matter what Ethnic Background We Come From. Thank you for Enlightening All of Us about Your Vietnamese Culture. Sending Prayers, and Blessings to All of You.🥰💝🙏🏾
33:15 is a perfect place to show why you can't sleep around, especially with women who are broken. She says it jokingly, but I perceive she truly felt used. I know a lot of women like this...heck I've been there. It's a spirit of rejection. Sounds like something she's dealt with on and off throughout her life with family and relationships.
I agree! Often Men say they want a Sexationship, and we as women go along with it knowing the feeling we get afterwards is a feeling of being used. Our nature wants more. Our heart can’t always handle what our Vaginas may need or desire. Sex breeds emotion, and Attachment from at least one party involved.
@@claressajackson773 LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN! Sometimes women agree with that. STEVE HARVEY said "Act like a Lady"...in other words stop opening your legs so freely....and "Think Like a Man"...that means understand he means exactly what he says. Some women think once she "puts it on him sexually"... as if she is the only or has the best vagina in the world...she secretly hopes the man will want a relationship or more. I seriously think she wanted more. Hearing Laterras say he wanted a black women did something to her spirit... aka spirit of rejection.
@@claressajackson773 true, I recently slipped up from my 2 year abstinence journey. I only fooled myself. Im a whole wife out here trynna have a fling.. done got my feelings hurt LOL that’s what I get… cried like a baby running back to God. My physical body desired it, but spiritually and emotionally, that is NOT what I need
Exactly. The feeling of rejection hits hard, especially at a young age. If we don't heal and know that one person's rejection does not define us, we can easily search for love in the wrong places. Ex: drugs, alcoholism, various men's bedrooms, etc.
She was pre-abstinence. I salute her honesty. She was a joy and just what the podcast needed. Great name for episode. She had you sweating Laterras. Loved it.
Very intriging episode. Every culture has dynamics that contribute to how we view relationships. Getting whole and knowing who we are and what we need is key to having quality relationships and marriages that last and thrive.
I really appreciate that she listened to herself and understood that it was not a good idea to get into a situationship. When we're broken, we attract situations like this because we're open and loving at our own expense. Because of past trauma, we don't have the boundaries or alarms that we should have and people feel comfortable proposing things to us that would hurt us, ultimately. That's a great takeaway from this episode.
Trust me if a man only wants you for friends with benefits your worth is being diminished on both sides. Regardless of what's on offer it's diminishing and will end in chaos. You cannot use another person to heal from another.
I can relate to her on many levels. As a Vietnamese American, my parents never gave me the opportunity or sense to feel I belong. I’ve been rejected by my family and never felt welcomed or loved. I have to present myself as this person or have to have this kind of money to be able to fit in. The Asian family roots is toxic. I will have a platform for Asian to speak up one day. Laterras, God bless your soul. You’re an amazing man for having her on. Appreciate your Podcast.
Laterras, this was a beautiful episode. I enjoyed the transparency and genuine mutual respect you both showed while talking about the hard stuff. I can tell she's a great person.
Once again you displayed your transparency and that is so awesome! Linda Ngo's take on Exotic women was refreshing and not being apologetic regarding her feelings and her life experiences.
After this episode. I just feel difference about LT. I mean the arrangement has me judging him. Are all men who send the vibes of a man who’s waiting on their wife despite their past. Are they doing things like this. I hate that I’m single and not Alr married. Because men are out here making arrangements. idk. I pray for our men and women. That better can come from us all. I mean to each their own. But sheesh 💯

Although, my friend, this didn't actually answer the question, Linda was such a delight. You should have her on more often. Also, may I suggest a real delve into this topic. Maybe a panel of black men who feel they gravitate to the "exotic"...who are willing to have a candid discussion. New to the Channel but loving it. Godspeed
This was a great episode, the other topics about interracial relationships were good but the personal relationship and your own experiences gave it the different spin of what it’s like to experience these concepts from 2 people who are marginalized in society. Plus there were so many really deep sub-topics that were covered with an ease and it’s great to see that type of friendship. The whole convo was LIT and the shamelessness around such delicate topics were 👌🏾
Not to get all the way off track with this but I strongly believe that a lot of people got the wrong meaning of “Exotic”, I Truly believe and know that Exotic is Very beautiful and Very different , unlike any other. I believe that beautiful black women and men are the REAL EXOTICS, the beauty in Afros alone are unlike ANY other hair texture….💕☀️
Yesssss. We are....and our swagger is off the chain. Every other race tries to imitate us but can't ever duplicate. I like black men who rock with black women. That's it.
Absolutely right, I have been called exotic before ( in my young skinty days 😆) and I am a 100% black dark skin girl. Many other black women have been called exotic as well, Im not sure about the title of this vid. Maybe they should have said women of foreign nationalities.
And this is the beginning to an answer to my wish/prayer. I literally commented in the comments' section last Thursday (after the IG Live was posted), that I hoped we would have the opportunity to hear from Blasian couples, and from Latinx and Black couples (since this season is about having uncomfortable conversations, per Laterras). I love that some attention is given to interracial couples this season, and with this podcast. Adding some intercultural couples would be great as well 🙏 (Black couples, who are from different cultures, and/or from different countries as well, i.e. American and African, American and Jamaican, etc...). God is starting to answer my wishes/prayers. Thank you Laterras for listening to the suggestions made by your audience members, and for listening to God (I know you always do, especially when it comes to the podcast). I'm sooooo excited about this episode. Thank you Dear Lord for listening 🙏🙏🙏 and for responding. It feels so nice to know that one is heard, and that God listens to even our suggestions that might be/look trivial (though they matter to us). Thank you again Laterras for this episode, and thank you for continuing to be obedient to God 🙏 Ok, on to watching this episode.
Ok first of all love her!!! And totally agree the topic of discussion was genius. It’s something that we have all wondered but never get to hear what the “exotic” girls think about being represented in such a stereotypical way.
This wassssssssssssss soooooooooooooo good!! She's so authentic!!! Laterras I love how you broke down the difference between honesty and transparency.. I am letting you know I am definitely using that and I will always give you the credit!!!! I love it.... "Honesty is telling the truth when asked a question..... Transparency is telling me what I don't even know to ask" Laterras Whitfield~
I love how comedy is included in this video. I also love how straightforward both of you are. I just want to say thank you so much for opening my eyes about some things even if it was way far back in my mind. And absolutely a woman stressed out makes her vagina stressed out therefore us females aren’t able to enjoy the moment. I’m so grateful that I have an amazing fiancé who does what he can to take my stress away so that we can keep the reciprocating cycle going. Girl, I love how transparent you are, you’re honestly a lot like me. Right because I look white but I’m also Hispanic/latina and everyone just automatically assumes that I’m full white because of my skin color. I love how accountable you hold yourself girl. Does she have a Facebook or Instagram that I can follow or add her on? I love her energy!
I loved this episode! It touched on many taboo topics and gave a fresh perspective from a woman that has been put in the "fetishized" category. But I also appreciate that Laterias didn't back pedal when Linda mentioned that he said he wanted to marry a black woman. HE SAID WHAT HE SAID! This episode was truly L.I.T. I like Linda. Her vibe is so dope.
Awwww.. thank you so much Beautiful for allowing me to be human. I know taping for live without edits can leave things sounding a tad off, so I truly appreciate you for allowing me to have human error and fun lol.. xoxo
@@Ngolimittv I appreciate your honesty, it was quite refreshing. There's rulebook when it comes to love and dating. We just gotta ask God to guide our decisions and put our best foot forward. For the record, in my head you're gonna be my friend ✌🏾😂😂😂

Really just getting into or being introduced to Dear Future Wifey. This was one of the best episodes I’ve seen. So enlightening. Opening our eyes to the views of a woman from another race. In the end, we are all just people, experiencing the same ups and downs in life no matter the color of our skin. Thank you sista.
I really enjoyed this episode and I love the transparency!!! The one thing I disagree with is when Linda describes her children as "black" and that's just because I see mixed people as mixed which acknowledges both parents. Again terrific episode- New subscriber :)
Interesting conversation. The diversion back to Black women towards the end (when the question was asked if Asian men would marry Linda with 3 half-Black sons) was extremely thought-provoking. Great job in asking the question and also redirecting! I also find it odd that Black love: whether romantic love, self love, love in unity, always seems to be a point of pause or question for other groups.
I appreciated this episode and loved Linda's openess and humor. I enjoyed hearing the "exotic " conversation from her perspective. I think you guys did a good job of talking about the reasons you guys saw. Exotic still pretty much means different, Bw have been exotic to wm since the beginning. Love who you want to because you love that person for who they are. I always cringe when I hear bm say they only date, outside. I'm like you don't love your mom? Anyway Thanks bro for sharing a vulnerable moment in your life showing that you can make bad decisions and then recover Thanks to God's grace. I'm sure I wasn't the only one wonder who the "Situation " you had lined up when that sermon started to convict you. I'm proud of your growth. Also reminder to the masses, He is a Christian on a journey, this isn't specifically a "Christian Podcast."
I also appreciate his honesty. He gave a look into the mind of a man. We often demonize men for proposing situationships, but it can be coming from different places.
Black men date out the most especially if they make over 100k in that group they are the least likely to get married or get into relationships .. the marriages don’t last with black women or with any other race .. the relationships that last the longest is white man black women…Black men leave everyone baby mothers they create the same dynamic no matter what race they choose
This woman has much integrity and a great personality, besides Laterren, most black men will not be with her for that, it would only be for her aesthetics. She has a lot to offer someone worthy.
One of the most LIT episodes but it was good to hear y’all being honest about the Friends with Benefits situation. Definitely one of the episodes that kept me intrigued of what she was going to say
This was SOOO good. Thank you both for your realness. Your honesty. Life is not black or white, no pun intended. Experiences, mentalities, are so varied, There is no one way that we experience life, nor should there be. We all go through so much as humans, worldwide. Thank you Laterras and homegirl Linda for not fronting, but speaking oh so truthfully about your lives. It gives many of us more courage to live ours.
Wow you never really know someone’s story, I was not expecting her to say that her father shot and killed her mom when she was 3. That’s a traumatic experience to live with and I pray she is healed from that thought and memory. But as far as why I think some black men want “exotic” women is because that’s how they were trained. I think since the beginning of time black people have been conditioned to be against one another and with the addition of social media it doesn’t make it any better. They are taught that black women aren’t good enough and there’s always something better. But I don’t believe that all black men think this way. There’s nothing wrong with dating outside of your race as long as you’re not doing it because you hate your own race.
@@adeolaadebiyi7618 well maybe I should have used the word “influenced” instead of train but either way it’s the same concept. Also notice how I said some black men, meaning that all obviously don’t think that way.
Black women are the only race that looks different from each other. They are extremely gorgeous and look better as they age. Most races are always trying to look like a black woman . And black women age well.
Linda would be my friend if I lived by her. She is Real Real and that's how I roll!! Thanks for sharing her Laterras!! I know she is part of your personal business, but it was nice to see 2 grown folks grownin!! 😁
I love this. I'm an open mind that loves to hear everyone's perspective. We all make up this world and we all go through. Never would of guessed everything she has endured. She's a beautiful Vietnamese woman who deserves love too. When it boils down to it, we are all searching and seeking for something. Whether its love, prosperity, purpose, relationship, etc. Thanks for another awesome episode Laterras. She tickled me lol. 😆
I have mixed feelings about this episode..and LT don’t be giving husband benefits to friends with benefits…your future wife is holding you at a higher esteem. As always it was LIT.
I think he was explaining about how his mentality was when he used to be sexually active outside marriage. Since he took the vow of abstinence I’m sure he’ll be giving those benefits to the future wife now since that’s where his focus is at. At least that’s how I understood him.
This was great! I have laughed so much from this episode. I have to admit when I first saw the title, I kept scrolling because years ago, I was in love with a guy that told me he wanted to marry an exotic woman and I’m a Black woman. His statement left me feeling unsure of my place in that mans life. I happen to look mixed-raced so I’ve always been told that I looked exotic whatever that means, but Im a proud black woman❤️
This episode is LIT!! Love the transparency...dnt judge a book by the cover, there is always some stories behind those covers!! Another job well done Laterras.
Yup Black women are exotic! Me, I'm Haitian 🇭🇹 from the Caribbean, also called West Indian, also part of the Hispanic culture. Latin people are like our cousins because our ancestors helped different Latin countries gained their Independence. I speak different languages. Influenced by French culture; was raised multiculturally. Educated in different environments. Like many other Black women, we can stand on our own in the boardroom, courtroom, classroom, corporate world, entrepreneurial world, non-profit efforts, parenthood, and the hood all at the same time. By the way, good episode 👏🏽 👌🏾 I love her energy!
Lisssseeennn Lindaaaaa…everything she said about the Asian culture being loyal, prideful etc. can speak for most minorities it seemed. Also I keep telling my friends ASIANS ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN AFRICAN DECENT PEOPLE! Ms. Linda is my whole self in a different body!!! 😍😍It is so important to realize we are much more similar than we think. I also appreciate acknowledging how there is a reality that it is much more value placed on nonblack women in society for them just existing. It is not pleasant to hear but being honest about it and repenting is the way to healing. Peel back the curtain, we trying to walk in truth over here🙌🏾
Folks need to know and remember, Africa is called "The cradle of civilization" for a reason. I've known and seen Asians darker than me and hair curler than mine. Why do y'all think they try to stay out of the sun🤔? Folks better start shaking their family tree because African blood maybe dilated over centuries runs through the veins.🤷🏽♀️
Thanks for bringing Linda on the show. She represents well. Not just for asians but women overall. My 2 siblings and I were raised by a single mum and now that I am older I get it. Thanks to the both of you for keeping it LIT. Keep doing what your doing. Glod bless you.
This was a fun episode. Linda was cool and her story was interesting. Having more perspectives on love helps us all think of things we might have missed or to confirm what we knew.
Love, love this episode. If everyone could talk to their exes or situationships and explain to them the space they were in they both got together, we would have better relationships overall. A lot of people don't understand that your lack of transparency wounds. It hurt, it alleviate a choice that could have been made (good or bad). What a lack of transparency also do is show you up further down the road. It may even cost you your family.
I will not be watching this at all. I hate that we can't promote black love, black folks are being attacked and therefore we need to promote it. Period!!
Linda is a beautiful and a great guest.. her spirit is amazing! May she have her heart desires granted cos God knows she deserves all the goodness in this world
This was tough for me! I was in a relationship with someone that was married to an Asian woman. The comparisons were non stop. It triggered something knowing you (LT) were more honest and received more honesty in this connection. An almost "sexuation" with someone that had the least amount of spiritual experience (that I've heard on the podcast) than any other guest. 🤷🏽♀️ Just keeping it LIT. Please forgive me if I'm out of line.
I enjoyed the transparency of both your conversation her heart and personality is sweet..I relate with her and her experience with relationships. Great stuff ♥️
Ironically she has children by two different black men. Consequently who did not keep their commitment to the relationship. And as a result she's just a baby's mama who's looking to be in a committed relationship 🤔
I also have mixed feelings about this episode but I will say that she is real comfortable and said some things that didn’t settle well. I really just wished that black men and woman could explore love that no one else can infiltrate.
Forget black men and explore your options with other races of men. Black men date/ marry out of the black race all the time with no remorse. And they will do it with a smile on their face.
@@ReesesCupsPieces I personally didn’t care for the first clip in the beginning or the very end. Idk why other races of women get offended by “black love” or feel like they need to be included in black conversations. It’s so strange. I would never try to include myself into conversations dealing with asian men and women because I don’t understand the dynamics of the culture. The fact that she thinks she’s getting overlooked as an asian woman in a black space sounds very entitled to me.
Another great episode, definitely LIT! That took a lot of confidence to be that transparent. I loved this young lady and I pray all the best regarding her future endeavors in the arena of love.
I like her but it always floors me how women of other races just cannot understand the beauty and necessity of black love. Black love does not erase the potential of you having love or having love with a black man. It's just that black love has been under attack in this country through social engineering for hundreds of years, so we need to preserve it and protect it and promote it at all costs. It's okay to just not have an opinion on it because you don't have a dog in the fight. It's not a part of everyone's experience and just because you're not at the center of that experience doesn't mean that there's something wrong or off about it. Celebrating black love is absolutely necessary and it is unique and deeply beautiful. I have very much enjoyed her insight and transparency.
Thank you for sharing your truth. One of the things you said was that some of us did not have someone to teach us, to influence us on relationships. We had no idea, just looking for love in the wrong places, but thank God were still alive to share and influence others to do different and better. To make wiser and smarter choices ❤️.
I guess with the culture today love has to be achieved however it comes. So many African American men want other races and even other men. God Please help my AA sisters that desire their black King!
Exotic just basically means from another country

Black women please stop waiting around for or chasing down Black men. If marriage is a priority for you, open up your options and thoroughly vet other races of men but please keep the bar set high.
Black men marry the least so if marriage is the goal most likely it won’t be a black man
Girl please. Black women aren't waiting for nothing. They ( many, not all) think they are too good for most regular guys.
1) Stop Lying to them and setting them up for More failure. No men from other races are checking for or wanting BW, for the Same reasons brothas are walking away
Too fat, too masculine , big mouth, uncooperative, disagreeable, argumentative combative, disagreeable, non feminine, nor Non submissive. Men in other races by and large Don't have these issues w their women. And You, Everyone knows that

Please.
Their weight, masculine energy, mouths and attitude, multiple kids by multiple men out of wedlock, unnecessary combativeness and head shaking, neck twisting uncooperative disagreeable argumentative temperament, are World known attributes the women have. That's what limits their ability to date non black men.
Not to mention, you don't often see cross racial family blending.
If you have black kids, they are likely more comfortable w a same race parent, step parent. Pretty much goes for every race.

Hey 👋 Laterras, the Bible says as Christians we should not be indulging in sex before marriage so why would you suggest sex to this woman? Is it a case of accepting the word of God fully or when it suits us?
He lost me on this podcast. I thought he was on a celibate journey. I now have no reason to subscribe

Exotic women to black men equals not black.
There’s plenty of Black women, black men deem exotic. From Grace Jones to Lupita Nyongo!
Black women are exotic.. exotic is actually not white.

🙏🏾

Great points! 👏🏾
Perfectly stated.

I do absolutely love Linda’s foundation of truth & love! I see her energy & her hurt through her laughter… I hear her laughing through her past pain
Definitely
She is a whole vibe! I really enjoyed this interview.
PS, One thing that struck me when you were describing what you were offering her as a friends with benefits friend, it felt like prostitution. I know that wasn’t your intention but that’s how I felt when I heard you recap it to her. If someone I considered a friend offered me a FWB situation the way you offered it to her, I would’ve rejected it too. Funny thing is, if you had just offered her the FWB without the financials, you would’ve have been having a much different conversation with her.
I came here because of Tony Gaskins 😭😭😭
Same 🤦🏽♀️🙏🏽
I absolutely unequivocally hate that term Exotic. There is nothing more Exotic then a full blooded black woman! There's no other race of women that look act feel like a Nubian Mahagony woman.
Exactly
BOOM 💥
Exotic means different depending on the person using it. As a black man I don’t find black women exotic because I grew up around them but a white man that grew up around mostly white women would view you as exotic because you’re different than what he’s accustomed to.
To me, the term is misogynistic as women are not cars or commodities.
Even though it can mean different things, depending on the situation.....I agree....most of the time, in the US, if someone uses that term, they are referring to someone who is of a mixed /biracial background
This was refreshing. Linda brought much energy, happiness, and light.

Yup!
Loved it.
Yes! She was very transparent and unashamed. I hope she gets married soon.
Very intriging episode. Every culture has dynamics that contribute to how we view relationships. Getting whole and knowing who we are and what we need is key to having quality relationships and marriages that last and thrive.
Absolutely
I really appreciate that she listened to herself and understood that it was not a good idea to get into a situationship. When we're broken, we attract situations like this because we're open and loving at our own expense. Because of past trauma, we don't have the boundaries or alarms that we should have and people feel comfortable proposing things to us that would hurt us, ultimately. That's a great takeaway from this episode.
Thank you Latteras and Linda for an awesome and transparent interview. May God continue to bless you both🙏🏽
Trust me if a man only wants you for friends with benefits your worth is being diminished on both sides.

Not to get all the way off track with this but I strongly believe that a lot of people got the wrong meaning of “Exotic”, I Truly believe and know that Exotic is Very beautiful and Very different , unlike any other.

LINDA, thank you for your transparency.
THE SELF-HATE IS REAL !! and a lot of black men don't want to be truthful to themselves.
Black women as well.
Black men date out the most especially if they make over 100k in that group they are the least likely to get married or get into relationships .. the marriages don’t last with black women or with any other race .. the relationships that last the longest is white man black women…Black men leave everyone baby mothers they create the same dynamic no matter what race they choose
@@tbcreloaded7529 deflection. Per usual
Thank you Linda and Laterras
You all were very transparent and kept it LIT! I 😮 Linda for keeping her Godly standards!
I loved Linda’s energy🥰 Great episode!
This was funny and refreshing to watch! I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this episode ☝🏾
Nobody trained black men like that…they are not dogs, they can reason for themselves…the excuse is becoming lame!
@@adeolaadebiyi7618 well maybe I should have used the word “influenced” instead of train but either way it’s the same concept. Also notice how I said some black men, meaning that all obviously don’t think that way.
@@ChristinaCoriolan Trained=Influenced=Programmed All the same sis, you are absolutely correct!
Well said!!!
@@ChristinaCoriolan Nah, you are 100 percent right
Loved this video! It was so refreshing! Thank you Latteras for the transparency! I wish more people in this world were open, transparent, and honest!
You are so welcome!
I love this episode, she says, mentioned everything what's always on my mind. Thank you Ms Linda
I have mixed feelings about this episode..and LT don’t be giving husband benefits to friends with benefits…your future wife is holding you at a higher esteem. As always it was LIT.
I trying to hold my tongue(fingers) on this one. 😬🙄
@@jnunn79 lol
Lol me too, keeping my thoughts to myself 🫣🫢
I was thinking the same thing. You gotta hold yourself to a higher standard.
I don't understand why he would say that you. You look like his preference.
You are a beautiful exotic black woman. God has someone who’s going to prefer you over any and all!
You look biracial, which is why he said what he said
Love the transparency and honesty on this conversation.
Linda is a strong woman who has endured a lot. She deserves good love
Peel back the curtain, we trying to walk in truth over here🙌🏾
Same thing I said Ms. Hooper when she started talking, I was like, does she have some black in her. May God bless & keep her!
Enjoyed. Linda and I went to HS together. Always great to see how my classmates have evolved over the years.
When I hear men say exotic women, I think they mean foreign women.
Yep, definitely needed you to pep it up ... She is so cool. I am enjoying you so much.
Exactly. Growth and healing.
I will not be watching this at all. I hate that we can't promote black love, black folks are being attacked and therefore we need to promote it. Period!!
The subject line of the video is misleading. Only black men can answer this question.
Just keeping it LIT. Please forgive me if I'm out of line.
Lol!!! This was definitely LIT!!!🤣😂
The level of transparency was absolutely refreshing while at the same time 🤯. Thanks again for another great show🎯
Thanks for being you Linda!!! You are genuine 🖤
Loved this episode! Her transparency is definitely refreshing!
I also have mixed feelings about this episode but I will say that she is real comfortable and said some things that didn’t settle well. I really just wished that black men and woman could explore love that no one else can infiltrate.
Care to elaborate?
Forget black men and explore your options with other races of men. Black men date/ marry out of the black race all the time with no remorse. And they will do it with a smile on their face.
What did she say that didn't settle well? I'm looking through the comments, and commenting while it was playing... I'm going back to listen.
@@rebe2330 completely agree! I think it's a low lack of self- love and esteem for her whole self and her own culture not ours.
I enjoyed this conversation!
Love her transparency and truth! I totally can relate to her in many ways..its not even funny! ❤️🤣.Great episode Laterras
Another great episode, definitely LIT! That took a lot of confidence to be that transparent. I loved this young lady and I pray all the best regarding her future endeavors in the arena of love.
Once again...." I like them....because they liked me!" None black women often get with black men for this reason. Not a compliment at all!
New friend here! I have listened to a few episodes, but now I am here to listen to more enlightened conversations!
