Got my old F-91W beeping again. I'll be back in another 18 years!
lmao
how you made it. i have the same prob. in mine?
@@tirmikj5 ruclips.net/video/MwnjTBURH7Q/видео.html See that gold thing at the bottom? Bend it up so that it hits the back of the watch back plate when you close it. Also make sure the back plate is not upside down. On my watch the gold thing goes from right to left instead of left to right, but should be the same.
Did you really have yours last 18 years? Casio themselves say it's only rated for 7
@@KhaledAlfaris yes, although not in constant use for that time. In the last few years of the battery life it was sort of half alive, a bit of the display and a very weak beep. Every Casio watch seems to exceed expectations though. That particular watch has been through a how wash cycle in a washing machine and half an hour in a dryer. Funnily enough the plastic has now broken on the main body of the watch where it fixes to be the strap, so it's finally done for in its original form :(
It's probably cheaper to just get a new one but after you've had a 8 year streak with this 10 dollar watch you get sentimental lol.
Its not. A 5-pack of these batteries costs about 5 dollars
These watches cost $33 in my country now. Insane inflation
Bought a pack of 5 cr2016 for less than $2 usd.
Changed the battery of my casio f105.
So happy that the illuminator is working perfectly wirhout dimming the lcd display.
These watches are 30-40 euros in my country. Battery costs 1-2 euro.
"Or dislike it if you don't like me."
haha this bruh took it personally.
Thanks for such a clear and simple to follow demonstration!
You save my day. Now I dont need to go to the watch technician to change my legendary f91w. This is RUclips supposed to be.
youtube is eating up lots of jobs it seems
Hi bro can I use 2032 battery for Casio f91w .
@@variousartists11 i think it is better to replace battery by mechanic because they will offer you a good quality battery and you don't need to buy a tool for 1 time use
Same
I changed my watch battery! Can’t believe it. Thanks for the instruction 🙂
Oh, a CR2016 is inside this watch! Now I know, why this battery last so long. I have my F-91W now for abaout 6 years. Thanks for this video.
Mine lasted 13 years.
@@bestopinion9257 Good that's what should be expected from Casio
I've got two F-91W watches. The older one I got it in April 2008, and we are in January 2022. Almost 14 years and the battery is not dead yet!! 😮
@@luc5798 Has the display got dimmer though?
@@patscanlan2678 No, the display is as good as with a new battery. 14 years in a few days! But having another f-91w, and also recently a very cool ca53w😎 , I don't use this watch much anymore except in chrono mode when I develop a film or make a print in the dark room... So most of the time it stays on chrono mode at zero, that must help. I also mention that I always deactivated the beep and that I never used the alarm much...
Just changed the battery following your tutorial, everything perfect!
If possible, the gaskest should be re-greased with silicone-based grease. Other than that, nice step by step tutoial vid.
Thanks for the info! I didn't knew about the re-greasing.
TipsTricks
No problem! Re-greasing the gasket is necessary, otherwise the watch might loose it's water-resistance/tightness.
@@ET42Driver I read on a forum that if you don't have access to silicone grease then using vasaline is better than nothing
Can I re grease the gasket using coconut oil or semi synthetic litium grease ( usually used for greasing bearing on bicycle)?
@@alimpurnomosidi3261 Personally, I wouldn't do that. Coconut oil and lithium grease react with rubber making it hard and brittle. It's either silicone grease or vaseline.
Thank you so much. My watch life extended.
I Love the 10 years battery life Casio models.
Thank you for this super helpful video! Detailed and to the point!
Got my F-91w working again see you in 12 years
You put the caseback upside-down
Haha true
Good eye
If it fits the window, that would be rebel mode.
Thank you Sir For this wonderful replacement watch battery tutorial video. It was such a blessing
very helpful video! i will change my battery when it runs out. does replacing the battery cause the watch to lose its water resistance?
Battery for me this watch lasts for ten years, but I say change it before because the light in the display becomes weak. In the beginning of the replacement battery is a little complicated, but in time you will learn how to change and it's not hard. You need to be gentle, patient and persistent and you will succeed. The battery is long-lasting, and it's nice watch makes it special.
thanks pal
A very welcome and concise video. Many thanks and well done.
Thank for sharing this video.
I noticed that you put the case back up side down.
Great instructional video. One of the best I've seen, well done.
Thanks so much, that was easy thanks to your great demonstration.
excellent tutorial👍 quick and to the point
EXCELLENT presentation. Thank You!
My favourite watch I hold this watch in my hand for 7 years made in Thailand
After you changed the battery do the WR change? Becaused you already open the case??
possibly the gasket probably need replacing but parts for these watches are almost impossible..need to buy a new one
there is something so nice about this video
Great video with all details needed👍
I have a Canibal watch where it'sworks are similar to what is shown in the video. I bought it in 2016 and have replaced the batery in about 2020, Now as the light seemed to be diming I am trying to get it to start on the second new battery: but it is NOT starting. On the the removed back plate is written "short the AC circuit" However in fitting the battery, where the letters AC are stamped on the inner metal of the works there is an arrow pointing towads the middle. I have yet to find out what/where to touch with the tips of my tweezers ? I wish I had seen this video before trying this 2nd battery change, There is so much usefull information . The first first of a replacement battery was so simple, now3 years later I run into trouble ?
Thanks a lot
Great tutorial, it really helped me. keep it up! 👍
thanks :)
very useful
I've got a casio w215h. Its batery can last up to 10 years! The battery of my fathers f-91w can last 15 years!
My f91 battery is getting weak after 28 years
Clear demonstration
check it works b4 screwing up... helpful thanks
Thanks I can now replace my battery.
Thanks
Best and good batary is what
I did a battery replacement for the f91w I removed the white tape now it does not have any sound.
Siempre recuerden que las baterías no se tocan con la mano ya que podemos quitar energía de la misma
This helped a lot. So easy to follow. Thank you!
Thanks, good video. + Dig the Music.. sounds like Casio keys in da mix:) xx
Take comfort that over 2K like you, and only 107 dislike you. That’s pretty good going.
yes and the dilikes are now no longer public..to prevwent the trolls i guess?
Great instructions on how to replace coin battery in f-91. Also thanks for saying we need to make sure the silver buttons need to be pressed out. Am interested where you got your ctoss-point, flat-head screwdriver from. Very handy tool. BTW I have a f-94.
Thanks! I got that tool a while ago from ebay to repair my glasses, I think I typed something like '' eyeglasses repair tool screwdriver.
@@TricksTipsFix thanks fella, notice a 3 in 1 tool for glasses repair. Only £1.18 with free p+p.
I only read about pushing the buttons AFTER I started reassembly. Easily sorted eventually. Moral... RTFM.
What size Phillips head? #0 or #00?
SEU VIDEO ENSINA MUITO BEM. PARABEN
If I will change the battery of my watch after that does it take the water inside..?
Many problems with what he did, first, he touched the screen many many times. And second, I cant believe he didn't notice this, but he put the back upside down. :) Good video though.
Well done! Thank you
great education video اخي
If my Casio is really new but I wanted to open it up, do you recommend still re-greasing it or should I be fine for a while?
some sites say if it is made in Malaysia it is a fake..mine is made in Malasia..is it original?
Original watches are made in Japan, Thailand, chaina or maybe Malaysia
Very good video, tank you.
Will there be any effect on the waterproofing ?
What to do with the very little spring? I don't know where it came from...?
Very helpful. Thanks dude i did it
I have other digital watches and just cannot get the screws out. The Casio watches though look much better quality screws to remove?
Yes i get one
Thanks. Very helpful 👌
Nice tutorial.
I like your video
great video dude
Thanks!
Gracias por el video 😊
I order for one to replace a battery of one of those Casio watches it had to be purchased by your great grand pa.
Thank you.
hi may i know the use for the white sticker?
yes i am also wondering its purpose may insulate the battery from the metal back ?
hey good video i have one of these at my house its a pretty good watch
Thanks! :) I got many watches but this one is still the one I choose for most situations.
Hi! Love your vids. I am having difficulty changing this watch buckle and the strap retainer, I can't seem to push the spring bar to release them, and i searched EVERY where to find if anyone did it before on this watch but no one has. Do you know how to do it? If you do a search, no one has it on RUclips thus far.
Is it an old one? Maybe the spring bars springs has rusted up.
what kind of battery does the casio w217h watch use
Great tutorial, thanks!
I love casio f91
ótimo, vc é 10
I got a f-14 casio that works on the same principle unfortunately after changing the battery it’s not working so it’s dead
Great thankyou
3:53 Reverse cover mounting !
Nice. SOng name pls
Good Job!! 👌👍
When i press "mode" button, the current time resets, why? Help!
Thank you!
Perfect,thanks
Good video
Simple
Your bezel cover is put reverse . Could not alarm sounds .
" or dislike it, if you dont like me",. lol, not related..
He made the video, he can say what he likes, nicely of course
@@simonmesure6863 agreed
Would never touch the digital display with my bare fingers, if I can help it, as you'll very likely grease it up that way.
Would also be sure to wipe it down with a lint-free cloth before reinserting it in the case (not all of us have the luxury of replacing watch batteries in a 100% dust-free clean room...).
Oh, and as others have mentioned, you screwed the caseback on upside down.
You didn´t tell most important. Watches are not working after battery replacement. You must put them back into case, screw the screws and after that you must press buttons to light up the LCD.
I've seen some videos where the watch need a reset button or else it won't work ?
Mine worked without any need to press any buttons after replacing the battery.
@@TricksTipsFix aightt , and please can you tell me the exact size of the Screwdriver?
i love casio
I'm a big fan too from calculators, watches to music keyboards.. it's really an iconic brand
hello i was trying to change my casio f-91w battery somehow it lost its beeping sound after I finished, do you know a way I could regain the sound?
normally set in the alarm section..google.Mine stopped beeping too and settings did not help.
Good job ⌚⌚⌚
Perfeito esse vídeo
hello, ive destroyed the head of one screw on my casio watch. Is ther any way how i could remove the srew?
Try getting a grip on the screw using pliers and then turn the screw until it comes out.
@@Brainman_2331 or use flat tweezers
Can you buy the gasket any where. Mine has broken.
no ..cheaper to buy a new watch
What would you have to remove to get rid of the beep completely?
Pablo Andres speaker probably
There's a small spring that conects to the back of the watch. To stop the speaker you need to remove it.
ruclips.net/video/MwnjTBURH7Q/видео.html Bend the gold thing right there down so it doesn't touch the back of the watch face. it will disable the alarm too.
Replaced the battery but the watch didn't work , it only shows time when i press all of the 3 buttons at once
take mod=ule aout again..make sure all buttons are fully out..then caregully replace.Check all buttons are out
Where should I find a new resin strap for my f 91w .......after 3 years
parts can be expensive if you can even find them ..cheaper to buy as new one
I didnt changed the hour and date right away after changing the batteries and it turned off😢😢😢
What's that white square paper stuck on the watch?
yes ..perhaps insulte from mental case cover?
Tenkiu
does this affect the water resistance
Yes it does affect the water resistance. You should take it to the service, so they can check the water resistance.
But a service center costs more than the $10 watch is worth. So it's better to DIY the battery replacement and just buy a new watch (and use the old one as a backup or spare).
Mine doesn’t have any screws in the back... so I’m pretty lost
possibly a fake ?
