Hawaii born and raised here 🤙🏽 the uncooked Ramen was our legit, schooltime snack. Everybody brought a packet to share with friends, and it was such a big deal, and it made so much crumbs and mess all over the school yard that it was banned. 😂
I also used to get the ramen and crack it up then toss the sauce packet and shake it up. I went to Toyo’s Superette after walking over from Noelani Elementary to Japanese School. Reading your comment reminded me before I saw Mike. I follow your page too. Didn’t know another Hawaiian watched Mike.
@@J.Young808Used to eat my ramen raw when I was a kid a loooong time ago! Also from Hawaii and love this channel! Mike (LLOD) is da bomb haha! And I was surprised he used to live in Hawaii!
Hitting the ol' "reset button" and purposely leaving comforts behind is a refreshing challenge that we should all do from time to time. Love it, Mike 🤝
Can I recommend moving blankets to add to each vehicle’s gear? Harbor freight has all sizes and they’re $5-$10 each! I just use them for EVERYTHING - I keep some clean to sit on or lay on, I have a bunch in my bed for whatever! I cut them up as well if needed and if they get nasty, throw em away and get another! LOL. They even double as a blanket to keep you warm!!
Love the blizzard camping idea. Don't see any snow in Louisiana, so it'd be a cool change of scape... Well I don't see any mountains either, but you get the point.
Born and raised where you drove threw on this trip. Grew up camping off that road since I could walk! Love to see you exploring new areas. My dad had to help save a guys truck that slid off the road with a steep drop off. Drive safe!
Hi! We in Russia have been eating dry ramen with seasonings all our childhood. It was popular among children in 1999-2005. Thanks for the memories of childhood :D
Eating ramen dry is honestly the way I prefer it unless it’s really cold out then I’ll cook it to help warm me up! Plus I’m in the army so most of time it’s just easier not to break out a jet boil and warm stuff up when you’re busy training.
In the Eighties, had a 1976 f150 w/ cap. In the winter would buy a couple of bales of straw and lay it out in back. That was our bed. We slept like kings! That was roughing it.😂

I 100% used to eat those ramen noodle packets either as a dry brick or by breaking them up in the bag and eating them. Same thing with the cup a noodle's too. The cup a noodle ones you had to pour a splash of water on so they'd actually come out of the cup, then you could eat it as a nood log.
I have a 2015 tundra with a tru sport bed cover that I usually sleep under when camping, you can also slide an inflatable mattress in there just for extra comfort.
Mike, do you plan on putting aside some land for a food garden? Maybe setting up a bunch of raised beds now, even if you don't use them, might prove useful in the future. Cheers all!
Anyone know of anything similar to the DiamondBack for the Ford Next Gen Ranger? They don’t sell these kind of covers here in AUS. Love the idea of a hard top and ability to access the front and back. Cheers👍
Do you have a telescope? Last time I was in Colorado, I was hangin out with my buddy and his family in his backyard at night. Sky full of stars. It was great. Then I saw what looked like stars but were moving in weird non directional ways. thinking they were aircraft’s but they weren’t. And he says he sees them all the time. I think your property without any dufusing city lights would be perfect for possible ufo’s sightings. I love that kind of stuff
@talonsei I ate Ramen like Mike did after school elementary days when I was going to Japanese classes. I crushed mine up first then added the sauce packet.
Well as a man that camps in a gazelle hub tent similar to what Talon was using I have to agree it's basically a Condo. Lol though I guess I have to try the "San Francisco" camping experience in the bed of my of F-150 at some point 🤣🤣

Born and raised in socal, dry ramen is definitely a thing and in school the worm thing was a legit story going around. Mike isn't crazy, Talon might be lol. Great trip down the ramen memory lane.
I’d only eat uncooked ramen when there were some crumbs in the bag. Never felt the need to eat the whole thing with its seasoning. Plus I don’t eat it often due to still being hungry from the empty calories
Just curious, why don’t you have a Mountain Hatch tailgate cover on your Tundra? Probably one of the best upgrades for the money, especially when you’re doing anything on the tailgate like cooking or kneeling! Cool company too ! Just wondering, and great video!
Nice basic camping video, how do you like that Leatherman Arc? Like you have a used a skeletool daily for years and recently picked up the arc. I like it better than the wave I tried to switch to a couple of years ago. one handed operation makes it nice. See I am not just hating on your videos
Sleeping in a diamondback is like sleeping in a coffin. Reminds me of hearing about kids playing hide and seek in an old refrigerator outside and nobody can find them.
Dry Saimin is the best! But only us locals from Hawaii know! IYKYK lol I hope it's Ichiban Chicken flavor! I was told that it gives your worms too lmfao. It must be an Hawaii asian thing lol 🤣

random but the dry noodle/ramen thing I do in south africa. so defs a supporter of it. Not common but its good!

Put a lot of time and effort into building a valuable platform and the “sponsors” figure out how to ask if they can sponsor you.
