    To whom it may concern: perfect video again! For my 2012 Nissan Juke SV this worked perfectly. Just did the other side (Driver side) and it is the exact same except there are no bolts holding the axle into the transmission! Even easier!
    No bolts holding axle just take pry bar and pop it out. I was scared at first and used pry bar with little force and nothing happened.... just slam it out and it will pop out Easy then to put it back in grab axle and push it in hard and it pops in again!
    I saw an 1A auto video and they removed the ball joint.... don’t waste your time, came out way too easy without taking balljoint out.... not sure why 1A auto added that unnecessary step?
    Either way this video will get you thru both sides.
    Best video out with this type car and axle.

    Excellent video presentation- just exchanged my CV Axle on 2013 juke and did exactly as you did- mine just popped out too. Had everything out within 30 minutes, took almost an hour to put it back in...that c bracket was the trickiest. a thousand thanks!!

    This video made my replacement exponentially easier, knowing all the steps and possible pitfalls. I did disconnect the brake caliper from the bracket which gave ample room to get the splines free on both ends. Would highly recommend anyone doing this to follow up with a front wheel alignment. Any time you start fiddling with the steering knuckle and hub, it can throw something off. It did on mine.

    Super helpful my guy, gonna tackle this today. Replaced rear shocks yesterday, still got the wobbles. Did more digging, found cv could be the issue, watched this, checked mine and the passenger side dumped grease everywhere but I can't find the tear. 118k on a 2017, went ahead and bought both cv axles and both front shocks as well...$750 later, hopefully no more wobbles after tonight. But this was very helpful, greatly appreciated

      Did this fix your shake? I just got my cv axels in and am looking to change them as I have a bad shake when accelerating until I get up to like 65mph

    Okay just found your video brother so much appreciated I'm finna work on mine and re watch your video thanks so much just saved me a load of cash and then I live in my car and all shops said they need about a week or so with the car no buddy I can't do a week or 2 or 3 days I need to be in and out so watching your video has gave me the courage to take on this job on my own I just need the tools 🔧

    My mom got ripped off too many times when I was growing up. That's made it hard for me to trust mechanics. I've made it my business to find out how to do things so I won't get ripped too.
    As has always been the case, things are a lot more scary when I don't know how to do something. A mechanic who clued me in on what the problem is. He said a lot of things have to be taken out, like the transmission, the fire wall... I know enough to know he was probably feeding me a line of bs.
    The biggest aggrivation is that they don't take me seriously at the auto store...

    Love the video! One big thing, though, is you definitely don’t wanna put anti seize on anything going inside the CVT/transmission (I believe those splines on one side are going in and will be direct contact with trans fluid), as it will contaminate the fluid and could really mess up the transmission over time. Love the video other than that!

    Whew how I hope I don’t get a hard juke on this project if I ever do try and I say project for a good reason because my only grade will be if I can put it back together in and out successfully within a short time frame🙌🙌🙌

      The job itself was not that hard for me and didn't take too long. But I research and am prepared before doing the work. What honestly took the most time doing this job was having to retake shots using the camera because people would walk by and start talking to me ( I did this job near a bart station so people were curious as they walked by). The tasks themselves for this job aren't too difficult. It's mostly just about knowing what your doing ahead of time. And just double checking your work to make sure there are no mistakes. The job probably takes a couple of hours or so maybe, give or take your experience working on cars.

      Thank you for the positive response. The camera work is a bit tough at times. But I am pretty good working on cars with both hands so I guess I got lucky in that sense

      I can never get a camera holder to hang out long enough. All girls in the family. My oldest daughter would but she is off to FSU She built cars with me when she was just a wee runt. Knew all the tools back then.

    Mine was seized in there pretty tight. I had to remove the heat shield (13mm I think) then it with the bracket that held it to the motor and pound it off with a hammer. NOTE (16mm or 5/8"), one of the bolts that held it to the motor had to be removed with a wrench as a socket wouldn't reach it as the CV was in the way. Once the bracket was free, I was able to mount the bracket back to the motor, then the axle slid right in, then the heat shield.

    Do not put antiseize on the inner splines or the outer diameter of the transfer case housing! That shaft goes through the transfer case to the transmission. Doing this places aluminium shavings (antisieze) into the inside of the transmission!
    Also, the brake caliper is attached with two 16 mm bolts. You can take it off in 20 seconds, and make this job much easier.

    Super useful. I have a question though. Last night, for some reason the ball joint bolted to the wheel and the lower arm sheared (thank goodness we were not on a motorway!) As a result this got pulled out. You mentioned the reddish hexagonal thing... The axle got pulled clean out of that. Does that make things easier or harder? Currently the axle is just hanging out, still attached to the wheel.

    Don't use anti sieze on anything that's going to be in contact with your Trans fluid or gear box. You will get aluminum powder in the oil. Use assembly lube, oil, or grease.

    I love just how nissan decided the juke was the best name for this car it possibly explains why nobody really works on these things but hey it’s fun to learn on something new that is why I am here so if I fuck anything up well then I knew I had tried to be okay about it 😂😂😂

      I provided all the information you should need. I always recommend professionals work on the car as a matter of safety of course. There is also information I left in the description (located under the video) as far as what tools you should need. The audio in the video also mentions things you will need ( I also mention torque specifications at the end of the video).

    I have a 2012 nissan juke awd. I was hit by another car last week... The point of impact was on the passenger side right on the wheel/tire. I tried to move the car out of the road but wouldnt move. My concern is that what if the impact damage the transmission.

      Its possible that it damaged the transmission. It would have had to have been hit pretty hard. Likely it damaged the cv axle and suspension components though before the transmission. I hope all is well otherwise. Car accidents are no joke

    To all those that have never used anti-seize: use about 1/1,000,000th of what you think you do. Otherwise you'll be wiping it off of every surface you come in contact with for the next week.

      I broke down in Rawlins, WY a few years ago and had to replace an alternator. I used anti-seize on the bolts and when I got home to IL, there was anti-seize all over my garage! That stuff is magical!

    Good video am about to tackle this job myself was just wondering did you have to top up the transmission fluid after?

      If you change it out quickly and have the car lifted on one side so that it doesn't really pour out that much you should be fine. But you might want to have the correct fluid top off just in case. I didn't have to for instance in this video cuz I didn't lose fluid. And the car had relatively low miles. Just make sure that if you are replacing the fluid to use the right type. Because this car uses a special type of fluid And you don't want to mix them up

      You should be able to reuse the axle cap. It's a cotter pin that's holding it on. The cotter pin should be replaced. The cap is there to help hold the axle nut in place in case the axle nut comes loose for whatever reason.

      It should be basically the same thing for the driver side. Just the axle itself might be a different length

    Just did wife's 2011 juke..it has a carrier bearing on pass.side .had to remove bracket completely with the axle.because.bearing was stuck.pretty simple process

      How did you remove the Carrier bearing and is that the piece around the axle where it connects to the transmission? Having trouble pulling it out so this may be what's holding me back

      @@MrJervon007 it was a little tight but pulled bolts from carrier. Had no choice other than cut old shaft.n half wasn't doing that.Even if I had cut it still was seized. I couldn't find any videos for the 2011 model it's dif from the 12

      I don't know what the part number was. I did this many years ago now. I think it was probably import direct though.
      You can go to something like O'Reilly Auto parts, give them your full information and they should be able to hook you up

      @@yunirueda9276 admittedly I haven't changed that axle on the AWD. But if you are changing the front axle the procedure should be somewhat the same as in the video.

    Did it pull when you accelerated? For some reason my girlfriends juke pulls left when she accelerates only so I checked cv axle and there was a small leak I’m thinking that could be it but I don’t really know

      transfer case fluid. Use nissan spec fluids

    If I lose a bit more oil than i wanted, what is the oil i can use to ensure proper amount of oil in lubricating the gears? Is it gear oil? Transmission fluid top off? Or regular engine oil

      it isn't engine oil. You should get the oil from the dealer to be safe

      No the factory seal was still good. This vehicle has relatively low miles

      Oh my bad sorry. Depending on if the axle is original or aftermarket, It could technically be a different nut size.

      No worries that was my bad not yours, I was doing it in a rush cause it was freaking cold outside! 😂 I should have researched that axle nut size first. We got it done though successfully everything was as you said. Also, replaced the front brake pads too. Great video! Thank you! ❤

    It is much cheaper to replace only inner cv Joint.

      It's best to replace the whole axle. If you replace the inner joint, the outer was being used that whole life of the inner as well. And even if it isn't in immediate need of replacement. The outer joint is still being put through wear and tear.

      I own a FIAT Cinquecento model 1993/12.
      I changed front driver side outer cv joint.
      The box contained an outer cv joint SKF brand, grease, CV Boot, nut,
      2 clamps, snap ring.
      I have no problem so far.
      It cost me €27.41 ($30.19).
      The price of CV Axle SKF brand is €88.76 ($97.76).
