    Dear Sweden,
You can't just expect your immigrants to adapt to your culture and laws.
You have to enforce it, in schools, in community centers, in language learning facilities.
If someone is reluctant on adopting the culture... why are they in Sweden, why are you making them a citizen, what's your purpose?!

    • @johanlarsson9805

The entire media and all politics told us for 30 years that THEY SHOULDN'T adapt, they are equal to us if not better. Sweden culture sucks they said, we want MULTICULTURALISM, and people should not adapt, everyone should "integrate" instead, meaning retaining their uniqueness and forming "boundries" with every other cultural group, because these "boundries" between groups would be exiting and thrilling.

@@johanlarsson9805 Most have their own delusions, most don't know they do, most shouldn't know they do. Your comment is true, they preached bs, it caused all this, at least this bad, will get much worse. I do think what they said was half right for times and situation. They should not be forced to adapt, they should be treated equally, culture respected, taking that risk, this shouldn't be prevented by force, at least back then, and i think for now, hopefully in the future. However, not how it was presented back then, bs was pushed instead, probably without knowing it, desperate to do what they felt was right. I dont know what Sweden should do, however, my bias, for most,. not all, in similar, uncomfortable to say it nicely, too multicultural situations, not to try to end it forcefully, keep taking it, risking everything, hoping for the best, by believing or feeling, this way is the best chance for it. Could be my delusion, among many others.

How bizarre is it, that the nation and culture that, after millions of years of human evolution, finally achieved a nearly perfect system for our species to live peacefully and happily, was stripped of its incredible progress by an external population, so far behind, that couldn't even level up with the local values?
And all allowed by them, because of their ingenuity and good intentions.. It's beyond tragic and messed up.
I wish with all of my heart that the Swedes can defend and fully restore the beautiful country they so very much deserve. Stay strong, and thank you for all your gifts to humanity.

Teacher in Sweden. One of the things that struck me is that when we notice a kid being a "springpojke", recruited by gangs, nothing happens. We call authorities but the bureaucracy is complex and in the end absolutely nothing happens, the kid just gets more and more involved in criminality, stops going to school and breaks lose from his/her family.

    • @PoisonelleMisty4311
      @PoisonelleMisty4311 10 месяцев назад +4

This is a very concerning issue, and it's clear that more needs to be done to address it. It's important that there are clear and efficient processes in place to support and intervene with at-risk youth before they become deeply entrenched in criminal behavior. As a teacher, it's crucial to advocate for resources and support for these students, and to work collaboratively with authorities to ensure that they receive the help they need. Additionally, it's important to provide a supportive and stable environment for these students within the school setting, to help prevent them from falling further into criminality. It's important not to give up on these students, and to continue working towards finding solutions to support them and help them make better choices for their futures.

The Bandidos were founded in Norway in 1995 during the Nordic Biker War, a conflict in which they feuded with the Hells Angels over territory and control of the drug trade.
The National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS, or Kripos) considers the Bandidos an organized criminal motorcycle club. According to figures found in the Norwegian National Police Directorate for 2014, 62% of Bandidos members in Norway had previous criminal convictions. The club has five chapters and approximately forty members in the country. The Norwegian Bandidos are affiliated with the Chicanos and X-Team and are allied with the Outlaws.

The Chinese have a term called "moral kidnapping." It's when you guilt-trip someone into doing something totally unreasonable for them for the sake of some vaguely defined morality: "How dare you not do x? If you don't you're a terrible human being!"
Many Chinese consider moral kidnapping to be the Worst immoral act, because the victims are always the nicest people. Nobody will try to morally kidnap a jerk, they know they'll say no. They always go for the person who is too nice to say no. As a result, the good people suffer, either that or they need to become bad people to protect themselves.
Sweden has become a lesson on what happens when you morally kidnap yourself.

But, there are areas that feel more like the Middle East than a western culture. There are videos of people sharing how to get in to Sweden, likely to enjoy the system for free. Lots of children by non working wives with 5 children is the norm for many of the immigrants, even in the countryside where my sister grew up. Swedish culture, economy, and the people will not survive this. My Swedish sister in law and my brother may not stay if this continues. Unless those people and their children are sent back to their countries, it will continue to become the war zones they brought with them from their own countries.

The country's political system, which is heavily influenced by social democracy, has implemented policies that prioritize equality and social welfare. In a truly multicultural society, you have to crack down hard on crime. This is something the United States has long understood. When citizens aren't bound by a shared ethnicity, religion, language or set of cultural values and beliefs, the law has to be the "universal language" that everybody understands. Sweden is a wonderful country, but like a lot of other countries in Europe, its political leaders were wildly overconfident about Sweden's ability to integrate vast numbers of immigrants from countries where tolerance and respect for human rights and democracy are often entirely absent. The problem here isn't that Sweden hasn't been welcoming enough; the problem, in many ways, is exactly the opposite: Sweden hasn't done enough to force its immigrants to fully assimilate and accept Swedish norms.

Yes, in some ways, that's the point. The US is the most multicultural nation on earth. The social ties are often weak. You have to incarcerate bad actors to maintain a broadly safe and civil society in that kind of environment. You're effectively compensating for the absence of shared values. That's why I was never super-impressed by studies touting low Swedish or German incarceration rates several decades ago, in comparison with the US. An ethnically and culturally homogeneous society is going to have less crime, almost by definition. There are a million little, unseen ties and understandings and family connections that pressure people not to turn to crime. But multicultural societies can be quite different. @@larsjohansson660

Having lived in inner-city Stockholm for many years, I believe the segregated nature of many Swedish cities is an important factor in why this has been allowed to go on for so long. Until quite recently, if you were a well-off native Swede with a university education and an office job, you could live your entire life without even noticing the gang violence. Walk around Östermalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Bromma or Lidingö - the places where politicians, academics and journalists live - and it seems unimaginable that anything like this could be happening in the same city.
The swedish establishment has been able to ignore the growing gang violence epidemic because for so long it was limited to dreary, out-of-the-way planned suburbs that are physically separate from the places they live. Swedish cities, especially Stockholm, tend to develop almosr rhizomatically, with each neighborhood its own little world centered on a train station and walled off against the rest of the city by hills, forests, water and/or highways. In other words, neighborhoods don’t spill into eachother, and you don’t wander into a place by accident. Add a large population of poor immigrants and increasing social inequality, and you end up with a city made up of disjointed villages that are worlds apart.
For too long, the people who have the power to change things were able to ignore the problem because despite living in the same cities, it was entirely abstract. And now that the bombings are spilling into Karlaplan and Hammarby Sjöstad, it may be too late.

@@tarqinquentinsson-obviousl957 it's not that he is believing it's spilling into other areas, it very much is. The biggest issue right now is the amount of deadly shootings taking place in better socio-economic areas. The drug-trafficking is also taking place in different areas due to gangs spreading and becoming bigger. One reason for gang violence taking place in different areas is because the police are putting more resources into controlling suburbs. Another one is also because the gangster life is romantically glorified due to the huge amount of gangster rap, which intrigues young second generation immigrants into joining gangs, even though they are well enough socio-economically. The problem is that it's disturbingly easy to get recruited into a gang. Gangs literally post simple sales jobs, courier jobs and hitjobs on snapchat/tiktok for cash.

He also chooses to blame the death on society. But which society? Sweden before immigration was one of the lowest violence/crime countries in the world, so the society he is blaming is actually the society which he has caused.
Finally, he doesn't blame his son for raising a criminal. Why not? Our values are to the largest extent created by our parents. The son is probably the primary reason for the grandson's criminal destiny. This is a pure guess, but I think it likely that he doted on his son, and spoiled him.

The issue here is immigrants outright refusing to assimilate to your host country that has agreed to take you on, even though every single immigrant is a risk investment. No one is asking you to stop being you, and everything that makes you unique and special. Rather, be a good neighbour, learn the language, become a contributing member to society. In most cases immigrants are from countries that didn’t value their citizens or had massive levels of corruption. Look at your new citizenship as a new lease on life, to become better and make incremental improvements in your family from a generational perspective. Stop expecting entitlements. You got your leg up, freedom in a new country that believes in democracy.

Unfortunately, Sweden had a relatively generous immigration stance that was not prepared for an increased immigration in the last 20 years. The authorities were not prepared and then much too passive. Adding to this was a decreased funding of schools and social authorities in the last 30 years. One of the main causes for the increased immigration was the decision by US to invade Afghanistan and then Iraq that destabilized Middle East. Had this been done with better overall planning and not only focused on the military part then perhaps countries in EU would not have had this problem today.

    • @gorgon4061

I believe the problem of immigration would have happened anyway without the help of war in the countries you already mentioned. Same is happening in the US, there’s no war in Latin America, however the number of people coming from Venezuela or Honduras, for example, has gone up exponentially in the US.

There are a few reasons why people may prioritize certain social justice issues over others. One reason is that issues like poverty, unemployment, and capitalism can be complex and systemic, making them more difficult to address and mobilize around compared to more tangible and visible issues like animal rights or international conflicts.
Additionally, some individuals may feel more connected to certain causes based on their personal experiences, beliefs, or values. For example, people who have a strong sense of empathy or justice may be more inclined to advocate for marginalized groups or animals.
Furthermore, there may be a lack of education or awareness about the root causes of poverty, unemployment, and capitalism, leading to a lack of prioritization of these issues in social movements.
It is also possible that some individuals may feel overwhelmed by the scale of economic inequality and injustice, leading them to focus on smaller, more manageable issues instead.
Overall, it is important for individuals and communities to engage in ongoing conversations and advocacy around addressing systemic issues like poverty, unemployment, and capitalism, in order to create a more just and equitable society for all.

There are a few potential reasons why Swedish people may not protest against poverty, unemployment, or capitalism to the same extent as people in other countries:
      1. Welfare state: Sweden has a well-developed welfare state that provides a social safety net for its citizens, including universal healthcare, unemployment benefits, and other social services. This may mitigate some of the worst effects of poverty and unemployment, reducing the perceived need for mass protests.
      2. Strong labor unions: Sweden has a long history of strong labor unions that advocate for the rights of workers and negotiate fair wages and working conditions. This may help address issues related to unemployment and economic inequality through collective bargaining rather than through mass protest.
      3. Political stability: Sweden is known for its stable and peaceful political climate, with a strong tradition of democracy and respect for the rule of law. This may lead Swedish people to trust that their concerns can be addressed through legal and political channels rather than through protests.
      4. Cultural factors: Swedish society values consensus-building and cooperation, which may lead to a preference for dialogue and negotiation over confrontational protest tactics.
Overall, while there may be some dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the Swedish economic system, the combination of a strong welfare state, labor unions, political stability, and cultural factors may contribute to a lower level of protest activity on issues related to poverty, unemployment, and capitalism.
